What challenge were you trying to address with Ad Victorem?

I’ve worked with Anthony, the owner, for over 6 years prior to him running Ad Victorem. He’s served in an agency role by providing creative direction for various projects. These responsibilities include technical support, logistics, and casting.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve collaborated on projects for tech companies, PR firms, transit, and music videos. Anthony always assumes multiple responsibilities, consulting in areas such as graphics and animation. His services include the preproduction, production, and post-production stages.

What is the team composition?

I solely work with Anthony, but I’ve also interacted with at least two others on his team.

How did you come to work with Ad Victorem?

I found Anthony through a reference while he was working at another company. I didn’t conduct a formal search with other candidates, but wanted someone whose working style and attitude complemented my own. Our partnership has continued with Ad Victorem.

Work with Ad Victorem started May 2016 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Anthony and I have won multiple industry awards for our projects. We also received positive press in major national publications. One review highly complemented a product’s branding and marketing, which I credit to Anthony’s work.

How did Ad Victorem perform from a project management standpoint?

He’s excellent. Anthony is always on time and communicates openly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Anthony brings a lot of passion to the partnership, often staying up late at night. Occasionally, I get email at 3am or 4am from him.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Research the company and its people before starting the engagement. The right dynamic between client and vendor is key for success. Referrals are also ideal in selecting the right person or company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ad Victorem?

One of our clients was facing unique challenges positioning themselves in a Southern California market, and we didn’t have the team to help them with their specific needs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We reached out to them to help us with the client’s business by building their brand identity and reputation in three Southern California regions: Orange County, LA, and San Diego. They helped us build messaging and positioning framework. They developed and designed a lead generation promotional website using WordPress, and they also built custom microsites.

Other services they helped with included: working on digital campaigns, emailing marketing newsletters, managing social media, and producing videos. We produced about a dozen videos marketing the client’s specific properties and brand. We’ve also worked together on smaller projects for other accounts, and even on internal business development. They’ve helped us with proposals and pitch decks, and are a great resource for us.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Anthony [Principal and Main Creative Director, Ad Victorem] in addition to other graphic designers and junior designers, copywriters, programmers, and strategists. A couple of their project managers were involved in the project as well.

How did you come to work with Ad Victorem?

I’ve known Anthony for years. We were first introduced when he worked at another agency, but since then he has ventured out on his own. He’s one of the first people I contact when I have a new project because we love working with him. He always brings new ideas to the table, which is why we have called on him for such varied work.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent around $20,000—$30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Work for this client started in 2009, and we are still working together.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been extremely satisfied with their work on this project, and the client has valued their expertise and originality. They’ve noticed the added value Anthony and his team bring to the project through their own ideas and suggestions. They really push the boundaries of what is possible, and as a result the client’s portfolio has grown. Although it's hard to determine the exact growth statistic for their property portfolio, about 98% of their rental capacity has been met, which is outstanding.

How did Ad Victorem perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re highly responsive and responsible, and Anthony’s professionalism and creativity make him enjoyable to work with. We’ve gone to them with last minute requests, yet his team has always fulfilled them. Despite occasionally cutting it close to the deadline, they’ve still been able to deliver.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility in regards to the types of communication and project management tools they use is unique, and something that I haven’t found when working with other creative professionals. They use newer programs like Trello, Asana, and Google docs. Their capacity to utilize new tools and design esthetics sets their team apart.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Everything has been great for the projects we’ve worked on.
