AK Galleria, a leading multi-brand fashion retailer with a catalogue of over 3 million SKUs and more than 120 brands, approached Adex360 with the need to overhaul its digital infrastructure. Previously hosted on Magento, the platform faced limitations in scalability, user experience, and backend manageability. Our objective was to seamlessly migrate the entire ecosystem to Shopify — while enhancing speed, user experience, product discovery, and SEO continuity.

The scope included end-to-end migration of an extensive product and brand database, along with custom development to support a high-volume, marketplace-style environment. They wanted a clean, modern, and mobile-first UI to encourage effortless product exploration.

We also implemented 301 redirects and SEO best practices to preserve existing search equity and ensure a smooth transition with no loss of organic visibility. Performance optimization was central to the build,  making the site both scalable and conversion-ready.

I'm the co-owner of Fervor, and we have a clothing brand called SUMMAT, a luxury evening wear clothing brand for women. We primarily focus on the Gulf market and specialize in evening gowns suitable for weddings, parties, galas, and dinners. Currently, we operate as an e-commerce business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Adex360?

We hired Adex360 before we even launched our business. Since we were an e-commerce platform, we needed a website designed for us, and we wanted to get it done on the Shopify platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Adex360 built our website from scratch. The way they worked was that before they actually started building the website, they first went through a design phase with us. During that design phase, we shared our ideas, and they shared their ideas. It was quite a collaborative phase where we decided the look and feel of the website. Once that process was completed, that’s when they started building it. Some suggestions were from their side, and some were from our side.

We did have a design in mind, but that changed over the course of the engagement. Our main focus was on how the website looked in terms of functionality, whether it was easy to use, whether the user could easily find what they were looking for, and how our drop-down menu looked. Because it was an e-commerce website, we also wanted to ensure that the payment functionality was secure and that the cart and everything else available on the Shopify platform were functional.

They also did some design work. We had some requirements regarding the size charts and text, and they helped us with that as well. The website was a complete custom job; we didn’t use the Shopify theme.

At present, they’re engaged in maintenance.

What is the team composition?

Initially, I spoke to Rabail, the business development executive, who was the first point of contact. She was the person who dealt with incoming clients and discussed the scope of work and what I was looking for. Then, she put me in touch with Zain, the owner of the business; Ali, and Imran, who was the point person for our particular project. She engaged with us during the design and completion phases. After the first meeting, she was the person I was in touch with during the development of the website.

How did you come to work with Adex360?

I asked around because I have some other businesses and know some people. I asked them which company would be a good fit for such a job, and Adex360 was recommended by my circle of friends. That’s why I engaged them.

How much have you invested with them?

We paid them around 600,000–700,000 PKR. Now, I’m paying them a monthly retainer for maintenance and other professional support, which is $100,000 PKR.

When did the engagement start and end?

We started discussing the project in December 2024. We formally started working in January 2025, and the website development phase ended in May 2025. The engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still engaged with them on the retainer for maintenance. I don’t attribute site traffic to them because I rely on my marketing team for that. Their primary job was to create a website that resulted in a smooth UX. 

Their job was limited to making sure that all the buttons worked and all the images were correctly displayed. I wanted some video and audio functionality that was functional, that my payment cart was functional, and that my backend Shopify platform was easily connected with it.

My payment gateway is smoothly connected with it. So on all those fronts. If a user ends up on the website, they're able to easily navigate through the website. Explore everything that we have to offer. Go through the products. Get whatever information they need without any hiccups. So on that front, I'm very satisfied. The website is very easy to use. It's very intuitive. The text is clear. All the functionality is working. We haven't had any issues.

I’ve engaged them for maintenance, but I haven’t had to use their service for maintenance because things are working smoothly so far.

How did Adex360 perform from a project management standpoint?

They've definitely met the budget. There was a slight delay in the development, but I wouldn’t blame them for it. It has been a collaborative process.

What I really appreciated was that even though we had finalized the design and their policy was that if we had completed the design and the development started, we couldn’t make design changes, I requested them to make changes in the design because I had some new ideas. They accommodated that.

I made a lot of changes, but they've been very patient, revised a lot of things for me, and incorporated all those changes into the final design of the website. That’s why it took longer, but I was grateful that they were so accommodating.

We primarily dealt with Imran, and we had a weekly Google Meet review call during which she made a presentation. She shared the entire progress, how much work had been done, and what changes had been made.

Then, we gave her our feedback on what we liked, what we didn’t like, and what we felt could be changed. We would also share some ideas with her, and she would give us her feedback.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very accommodating. There were a couple of occasions where I felt that we had to repeat ourselves a couple of times, but over the course of four months, that was bound to happen. Overall, I was satisfied with their performance in the end.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on. My only concern in the beginning was whether they would implement our vision and be open to our ideas.

They didn’t rush through things just to meet a deadline or finish the project. They were patient and took as much time as we needed to make all the changes and develop everything we needed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I suggest being very open with them from the very beginning and telling them clearly what you’re looking for. If it’s a custom website, it’s the client's responsibility to be aware of what they actually want. Only then can you expect the other team to deliver on that.

The more open you are with them and the more time you take in explaining what you’re looking for, the more they’re able to deliver. You can’t assume that they can read your mind and come up with what you’re looking for.

Open communication is the key. As long as you’re communicating with them, you’ll get the result. If you’re not communicating, they’ll offer you a very standard market solution, which may not be what you’re looking for.
