HUNTER Digital (www.gethunter.com) is an award-winning NYC-based digital marketing agency. I am the founder and CEO.

For what projects/services did your company hire ASL Productions?

HUNTER is a digital marketing agency and our clients often need video production in order to get the best possible results. For the past year, we've recommended ASL to our clients for high-quality video content.

What were your goals for this project?

Providing our clients with improved branding, high-quality ads, and engaging website content.

How did you select this vendor?

I met Ben Grody, the head of sales at ASL about a year ago and he introduced me to Adam, their CEO. They presented their portfolio of work (which is very impressive and discussed how a partnership could be structured. Most importantly was the level of service ASL provide both to me and our clients that really separated ASL from other video production companies we interviewed.

ASL worked on videos for tech and legal clients.

Some collaboration with HUNTER, but primarily with the client.

Very effective, but again most of the work was with the end client.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the associate director of marketing for an international real estate investment trust.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with ASL Productions?

We produce investor update webinars for shareholders. Another office used to produce them, but we recently took over. We needed a video production company and studio that would model the webinars after our previous videos and produce similar content.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They handled everything from preproduction, to the shoot itself, and postproduction. They would pre-record the video, edit it and send it out. At the beginning of our project, it became clear that we couldn’t film in our offices, so it was also really helpful that they had their own studio.

What is the team composition?

They had about three team members working on our project, and an additional four people on set.

How did you come to work with ASL Productions?

We found ASL Productions through a simple Google search. After we selected a handful of companies, we began a vetting process. We really appreciated that ASL Production proactively offered to visit our office free of charge. Once we met, it was clear that their team was personable and understanding. We had a great connection, so we decided to sign on with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $12,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in early July 2019, and the project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

So far, the project has gone really well. We don’t have any metrics, but we measure success internally by comparing the product to our previous videos. We had a really clear vision of what we wanted and ASL Productions was able to emulate our previous videos perfectly. At the beginning of the project, we were really sensitive to how everything was shot, but they delivered everything we wanted. We are happy with the quality of their production efforts, special effects, and editing.

How did ASL Productions perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project was very demanding, but they were flexible and were able to meet our needs. While sticking to a tight timeline, they were accommodating and made any changes that we requested.  

It was clear that they wanted to build an ongoing relationship with us, so they worked with our schedule and negotiated prices fairly. We’re really appreciative of our partnership with ASL Productions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with several video production companies in the past, but our experience with ASL Productions stands out. I’ve already said this, but they are flexible, reliable, and accommodating to last-minute changes. We’ve been pleased with them as a team and with their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing that I can think of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would definitely recommend them.

1-800Accountant specializes in virtual accounting. Our products include tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, advisory, and more. As the design manager, I manage all creative projects/tasks and am involved in high-level conversations. I’m also responsible for all communication with our marketing and production vendors.

For what projects/services did your company hire ASL Productions?

1-800Accountant helps thousands of clients each year with their tax and accounting needs, so we hired ASL Productions to produce a series of fresh client testimonial videos to promote our services. We wanted the videos to ensure trust and quality work to our current and future clients. 

What were your goals for this project? 

Our goal was to create new video content that we could display on our website and across our social platforms. We know how important it is for new clients to see this type of content, so we needed to maintain that value within our brand.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I researched online for local video production companies and came across ASL Productions. 

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail. 

Before reaching out to ASL Productions, I selected the clients who would appear in the testimonial videos and arranged virtual meetings with them. I then contacted ASL Productions early on about the project and provided them with a script. We rented out a space for the day to film the testimonial videos, and they handled the post-production. The total turnaround time was 1–2 weeks.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

They had an entire crew that specialized in different areas. Adam (Owner, ASL Productions) and Scott (Producer, ASL Productions) were my points of contact. They made sure that the videos were high-quality and delivered on time.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We received great feedback from our internal accounting team, and the videos seem to be getting noticed on our site. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs? 

The workflow was very effective. I will definitely work with their team again in the near future.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail.

No, I had no complaints. They were great to work with.
