I'm the director of HR at XQ Innovation. We're a management consulting firm that works with a large array of companies across different industries. We focus on employee performance and employee development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Big Presence?

We had a strong reputation among our loyal customers, but not many people knew about us. We wanted to improve our brand and get more exposure in different geographic regions and among different organizations, so we were looking for a company to help us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

During our first meeting, they learned about us as an organization and analyzed our challenges. Since they asked us so many questions about what we do, soon they could describe our company better than we could. Then, they created a new branding package, branding guidelines, and a logo. They also developed a digital marketing strategy, produced content for our website and blogs, and designed marketing materials. In addition, they helped us with email outreach. They have a very good process and explain everything to us.

I mostly interact with their president and one of their directors.  

How did you come to work with them?

I did a lot of research and met with about a dozen of marketing agencies. Many vendors either had experience with only one thing and did everything else poorly or made unrealistic promises. I was referred to Big Presence by another company that had worked with them previously. We had a meeting and hit it off immediately. They definitely stood out in the sea of options.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent about $75,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2016 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We evaluate our clients based on the number of employees they have. Since we started working with Big Presence, we've been able to get clients that have 30% more employees and our website traffic has gone up by 500%.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

They're very tech-savvy, so they manage everything through programs and dashboards they’ve created for us. We talk to them every two weeks and we’ve never had any issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're experts in both sales and marketing, which we found valuable. They know how to use creative elements to make a great marketing campaign. Besides, they think about practical results that will come from the campaign. It is the blending of creativity with actionable results that makes them stand out.

I can't think of anything.

I’m the director of sales and marketing for the nation’s largest automotive electronics remanufacturer. We’re a sustainable manufacturer of electronic systems like radios, clusters, and body control modules for a number of big-name suppliers.

What challenge were you trying to address with Big Presence?

After completing our rebranding process, we needed to overhaul our website, which lagged badly and wasn’t industry competitive. They also helped us construct a full digital marketing strategy once the site was ready.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built a new site using HubSpot, which is user-friendly and allows us to expand easily and keep adding new content. They’ve also helped us optimize the site and generate content for us that will improve our key analytics.

Now that the site is finished, they handle our site updates and write copy to support our digital marketing strategies. They’ve helped us transition away from paper marketing entirely and help us plan mass email campaigns. They also work with us to strategize how to drive traffic to specific landing pages.

What is the team composition?

We worked with their CEO, a web developer, and a marketing strategist who also writes our site content. They also use subcontractors, but we never interact with them.

How did you come to work with Big Presence?

We received a referral from the company we used to rebrand our business. We interviewed several companies and Big Presence really stood out. Their competitors were just interested in building a website, but they had a progressive, cutting-edge approach to web development and were also willing to fold digital marketing into the suite of services they offered us. Our marketing team was too small for us to continually generate content for the site, so their ability to offer that was a big plus.

We’ve spent close to $150,000 so far.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen an immediate change in customer satisfaction. The new website has created a more positive user experience and we’ve seen an increase in overall traffic over the past year. In addition, we’ve gained several new leads from critical targets and we’ve noticed a higher acceptance rate for cold calls and meetings every since we rebranded and established our presence as a thought leader in our field. We didn’t have the best reputation for quality prior to working with Big Presence, but prospective clients are now reviewing our site content and considering our products in ways they didn’t before.

How did Big Presence perform from a project management standpoint?

We have biweekly meetings to touch base. They also manage a lot of their projects through a customer portal, though I haven’t needed to use it. They’ve always delivered on time and do what they say they’re going to do. They’re available when we call, they estimate project lengths well and stick to those dates, and they communicate well with our team. They also have a number of proprietary tools that make our lives easier, including one that lets us make our own landing page templates unassisted.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They bring us cutting-edge marketing approaches, like some of our email campaigns, that put us easily six months ahead of our competition. They’re a young, vibrant company with a CEO who’s a real go-getter. He’s invested in the company, he participates in projects, and he continually releases new tools and products that improve his services. They also add a lot of value to their services by educating their clients about the work they perform. They’re really good about empowering us to handle the site management ourselves, and they make us feel like we’re their only customer. They’re careful to choose clients who are a good match to their services rather than taking on as many as possible.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We sometimes hear about ideas or new features that are available to us, but there’s a delay before they’re implemented. They’re also very proud of their work, which can sometimes leave them a little resistant to making changes if you don’t like something.

Spinitar provides audiovisual technology services and equipment for various industries. As the principal and founder, one of my roles is to oversee the company’s marketing efforts.

What challenge were you trying to address with Spinitar?

On a mission to grow our business, we needed to build brand awareness, improve our online visibility, and generate more leads.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

At the beginning of each year, Big Presence creates a project timeline detailing their scope of work for the entire year. The first year was spent getting to know each other and building a strong foundation to promote future growth. They audited our website and revamped the platform according to the needs assessment. After identifying our most profitable clients, the customer personas were given to the sales team to use as a resource when interacting with our target audience. As we moved into the second year, their focus shifted to content generation. Blog posts, case studies, email blasts are a few examples of the deliverables they produce for us on a regular basis. More technical work includes integrated the HubSpot to our ERP system, which required them to collaborate with our ERP platform provider.

We work closely with their president, in addition to two account managers.

How did you come to work with Big Presence?

An acquaintance recommended Big Presence for our digital marketing needs after having a positive experience with them. I was so impressed by how intelligent, progressive, and capable their team was during our initial meeting that I hired them without interviewing other firms.

How much have you invested with them?

For the first six months of 2018, we have a $6,000 monthly retainer; for the following six months, the retainer decreases to $3,000 per month. There are no additional expenses unless we commission a special project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although we haven’t figured out how to measure the ROI on their marketing services, we see daily surges in traffic and lead generation on HubSpot and Google Analytics. More leads are showing interest in our products and services.

How did Big Presence perform from a project management standpoint?

Their meticulous approach to project management allows the daunting project to run seamlessly. They created a google doc that both of our teams use as a blueprint to determine which tasks are on the agenda, which parties will be involved with development, and how long the production stage will be.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our relationship was built on trust and they’ve proven to be a reliable partner. Their remarkable talent and unyielding passion is evident in the quality of their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s frustrating when projects are delayed because we used up all of the monthly hours. Their content writers aren’t experts in audiovisual technology, so a lot of scheduled time is spent researching our industry to create relevant content. We must come up with a practical solution to the most out of our paid hours.
