Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the director of engineering at TruSTAR Technology,  a cybersecurity startup. We are based out of Los Angeles, and we have a global task force with people working in Argentina as well as in parts of the US. We are small, with about 40 people on our team.

What challenge were you trying to address with CIMA Staffing?

We are increasing our footprint with engineers with Argentina right now.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started working with CIMA Staffing this year for top of the funnel sourcing in Argentina. They basically do the sourcing and recruiting aspect as well as high-level coordination. We work with them up until we can make an offer. From there, I take on the relationship with the engineers that we hire.

I provide CIMA Staffing with our needs and they take care of doing the initial screening, passing on the technical challenges, bringing them back so we can grade, and then coordinating the interviews and debriefing.

What is the team composition?

We work with two people from CIMA Staffing.

How did you come to work with CIMA Staffing?

I knew of them through my network contacts. I had really good references from them and from their work. I have some good friends that used to work with them. 

Also, when I was in Argentina we were in the same coworking space. I found them to be really professional and great people, which I think is important. They understand the nuances of the work. I needed to hit the ground running and they have been successful. I knew they would do great and my main requirement for choosing them was knowing that I would succeed with them.

How much have you invested in them?

We go on a person by person fee. Although we haven’t spent any money yet, we anticipate the first fee to be $4,500. As we onboard I am expecting to spend at least $20,000 to $25,000 this year.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started with them in April 2020 and we are still working together.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Though our engagement is new, so far we’ve enjoyed working with them. We can’t completely speak to the quality of the candidates yet, but of the people we have interviewed, we’ve had a lot of hits and only a couple of misses. We lost a candidate who we had closed because they went with a competing offer which was a bummer.

CIMA Staffing responds to our emails and makes sure that the people on my team who do the interviews know what’s happening. That takes a lot of things off my plate because I don’t have to coordinate all of that anymore.

How did CIMA Staffing perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is really attentive and really easy to work with. We integrated really quickly. We decided to communicate with them on Slack and gave them access to Jira so they could work on the recruiting board directly. They are super on top of things in terms of process, and that has been working great. We also have weekly sync ups with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are highly attentive, which I think is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Obviously, I wish there wouldn’t be any flaws when it comes to interviews. They are supposed to be screening for language and recently we had a candidate with whom there was a definite language barrier there that we couldn’t surpass. However, that is one situation out of 12 candidates. I think it is something that is bound to happen eventually. That’s the only thing I can think of right now. Other than that, it has been excellent working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Set up your channels early on. They are very knowledgeable about how to set themselves into your workflow. It took me a while because I was trying to be in control of things because I didn’t really understand that they could partner on everything in my workflow early on. I just needed to trust them and let them do their thing.

What challenge were you trying to address with CIMA Staffing?

We needed a few resources to help us build a platform for pharmacists.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started with a meeting about the platform and what type of support we would need. CIMA Staffing then started looking for the resources. They sent us a few and we chose one developer who is now working on the admin side of the platform.

The plan was to hire four more resources but we had to put that on pause for now. We will continue with the hiring in the future.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact is Alejandra (Co-Founder). She’s supplied us with one developer so far.

How did you come to work with CIMA Staffing?

I worked with Alejandra in the past and she was a good resource at that time. I found out that she was starting a new company so I made contact with her.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2020 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Everyone has been happy with the results so far. From our first meeting with them, we had a qualified developer within two weeks.

Their project management skills are good. They meet deadlines and their communication is fluent.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their speed of hiring was impressive.

No, everything is good so far and we hope to continue working together.

Contract the best resources, Ruby. , Java, Angular and other in a short time period. Present only a few Resumes but perfect
