What challenge were you trying to address with Codism?

We provide technology implementation services for a few oil and gases companies, and these companies have their offshore development centers in India. We needed a few Golang developers, DevOps, and QA specialists.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codism provides contractors that work with us at our location on custom software development projects. These resources specialize in Golang, OpenShift, and DevOps and help with the front- and backend components of various website and crossover mobile applications.

We started with three resources and currently have eight. I coordinate with the project lead.

How did you come to work with Codism?

I searched online for a combination of OpenShift and Golang resources. Codism popped up as one of the top companies that provided such services, so I reached out to them. I ended up hiring their services because the accounts that I support are based in their area.

We’ve spent $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in June 2021, and our partnership is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Codism has exceeded our expectations. We had been struggling to find OpenShift and Golang resources prior to this engagement, but they’ve easily filled those roles for us. The resources they provide deliver good, satisfactory work.

How did Codism perform from a project management standpoint?

Our projects are very milestone-based, and the way they manage them is perfect. We have a daily standup meeting with their team, and we’ve developed a very tight relationship with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Finding good resources is very difficult, but Codism has the right pool of candidates even though they’re not a very large company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve. They always meet our needs.

If you have niche projects, Codism is the company to use.

I’m the CEO and founder of a startup. We are building a next-generation spreadsheet focused on performance and extensibiltiy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codism?

We needed help with the high volume of engineering tests and complex technical work that we had to do, so we engaged with Codism.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We kicked the project off with an onboarding call. I walked them though the requirements and they brought in engineers according to the volume of work. At this point, they’ve written hundreds of functions and user-facing portions of our website. Their team also has complete testing coverage. 

We used GitHub for creating the codebase and managing the project. Even the non-developers from Codism were brought into the platform.

What is the team composition?

We started with one pretty experienced developer who piloted the project. We added a more mid-level developer a few weelks later. Codism also provided a QA and two project managers.

How did you come to work with Codism?

I did a Google search and their company came highly ranked in the results. What’s more is that Codism was familiar with the technology stack that we use. We contacted them and they volunteered to do a two-week trial for us so that we could see if they were a good fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably invested around $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started around August 2021 and is currently ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Codism has completed between 50–100 tasks, which has been of great help to us. We’ve seen pretty good quality work from their team, and it is steadily improving as they learn more about the requirements.

How did Codism perform from a project management standpoint?

Codism meets us halfway in terms of our processes and requirements, which is great. They’re really responsive to any changes or feedback. The whole team can work either on an agile methodology or a deadline-based approach.

The communication is good as well, and they escalate any blockers really quickly. Whenever they’re running low on work, they notify me right away so that I can delegate more tasks for them.

The whole team is also great at checking in with me regularly and correcting issues immediately. We have an ongoing email thread with the two project managers to where we discuss how our progress is looking. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What sets Codism apart is their manner of corresponding with me. It’s as if they don’t sleep; they respond round the clock. It’s nice to be able to communicate with them at any time that is comfortable for us, even though it maybe at an ungodly hour for them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there haven’t been any red flags so far. We did encounter minor frictions when it came to our communication. There was a misunderstanding that led to us losing 20 hours’ worth of work, but it was a minor bump in the road. Overall, it’s been a pleasant experience working with Codism.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The more understanding you have around software development, the more successful your engagement with Codism will be. It will also help to come to them with clear expectations with all the details broken down and specified well. If your project is at a point where you can simply hand-off the work, working with this team, or any other agency, is well-advised. However, if you’re at a point were your requirements are still ambiguous, it would be best to keep everything in-house until everything is better defined.

It was purely based on time and material. Team was very knowledgeable and ramp up time was quick that saved us lot of hours to deliver the before project before deadline and within budget.

From the beginning the team was very responsive and they ensured that they were working closely with our development team and reported any issue or challenges on time, so that we are able to deliver project as per the deadline.

When we searched Top golang development companies I found them on google and they really understood our requirement very well. Firstly, their pricing is competitive, compared to our current other vendors we work with.

After selecting codism we had an initial discovery meeting to discuss our goal and objective within the first 3 weeks. Apart from that they also worked on mock-ups for a couple of pages.

Me and my team provided them with feedback on their current mockup and how we wanted the upcoming pages to look like. Codism were very quick and fast and they came up with the concept wireframes that met our exceptations.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within 5months after our new beta version was launched, we saw a drastic change increase from our current users & new customers. The new UI/UX on the platform are been praised by our current customers as well as our team.

We continue to hear positive feedback on the usability, flow and look of the site both from existing and potential customers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager and account manager were assigned and they were easy to communicate and help us frequent updates. We connected over the phone at least once a week and used skype for all other communication.

So far we are really impressed by their work which they have always mate the timeline as promised. They are very upfront if any of the scope is not going to be mate.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of their work, knowledge, user experience, optimization strategy, and quick turnaround time impressed us. Apart from that, we learned much more than we thought possible, and we appreciated that they were patient & thoughtful while we came up to speed.

We have worked with other vendors for different areas of the company, but this was a particularly collaborative and positive experience we had with codism. I will certainly refer them to my network and will continue to work with them.

No areas of improvement I think of , I’m overall satisfied with their ongoing quality work and competitive prices. For us quality is more important than speed and we are seeing the outcome with a beautiful product.

I am the Operations Manager of a recruiting company. I head to the recruitment team. We provide IT recruitment services to many IT Consulting and staffing companies across the globe.

We provide recruitment services and we have a huge pool of IT consultants in India and in US. We wanted to build an application tracking system in order to track all our candidate's progress and even our client were requesting reports and dashboards where they can see individual recruiter performance. So we reached out to several companies online but decided to go with Codism based on their reviews.

We were looking for a company with strong capabilities. I found them online because of their reviews and we also considered the past capabilities that they shared during our initial calls. The team was very knowledgeable about their tech stack and they even guided us in selecting the right technology platform for our product.

We needed an ATS system. I am not comfortable sharing more details about the steps and deliverables. We build the build using Microsoft .NET core and the backend database was created using MySQL.

We had a total of 5 Developers and 1 Project Manager and apart from this we also hired 2 Sr Go lang Developers from them.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Currently, the project is ongoing and all the deliverables have been met. So far we have received positive feedback from the client who are using our beta version.

They work in agile methodology and we communicated through Microsoft teams and GitHub for collaboration. They have always completed their models on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to provide top talent impressed us. The team at CODISM always stood out above the other vendors we have worked in the past. Their expertise and ability to comprehend to full fill was much greater.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. They were an absolute delight to work with.

Originally, Codism LLC supported our .NET based project. They set up appointments for our customers. Later, we chose them as our provider of other IT services. Their team works remotely.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codism LLC?

I needed someone to help me sell my publication.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had no prior experience with web design or development, so I needed a partner who was experienced in the industry to take my requirements and create a site with them. They handled the entire build of the site from the ground up, even explaining what was required on my end to complete the project. Along with that, they taught me how to utilize the site for e-commerce and how to add content using word processing. I provided them with photos and copy, but they managed everything else.

They worked with HTML and integrated PayPal with the site to enable customers to make purchases through the platform. Their team used various plug-ins to get me the functionality I wanted. I’m still able to reach out to them whenever I have questions about sales or managing the site.

I worked with two project managers that worked hand in hand with each other.

I work with many government contractors in my day-to-day life. After one of them found out about my book, they asked if we had a web page. I was referred to them by that contact.

I didn’t anticipate them leveraging my LinkedIn and Facebook page to market the book. When they made the suggestion to link those profiles together, I was skeptical. It’s worked very well so far, though.

They’re outstanding. When I had questions, they replied to me within hours. I never had to wait on answers.

They were consistently exceeding my expectations. Additionally, they explained their processes clearly. That meant a lot to me because I have very little experience in this field. I didn’t expect it to go this smoothly.

We're a graphic, digital, and branded merchandising company. We do all sorts of marketing for our clients.

We do frontend design for websites, and I work with Codism LLC to develop the backends of our projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We work on contracts simultaneously, and I provide all the materials they need. They wait for my input, then they create the websites. There's no contact between them and my clients; they work exclusively for me. They've completed a handful of client sites, and they developed my own site, which came out great. Most recently, our stack was WordPress, PHP, Java, and MySQL.

What is the team composition?

So far, I've worked directly with the project manager and a developer.

How did you come to work with Codism LLC?

I found them through Guru. I put up a project for bid, and I received a lot of quotes. I liked their price, and they could handle all my requirements.

How much have you invested with them?

For this particular project, I believe we spent about $1,200.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've worked together for at least two or three years. I think I only had one project manager change in all that time. For this specific project, we started working together in January 2019. It took more time because of some delays on the client-side. Once we were ready to roll, they completed everything quickly. The site went live in December 2019.

My client is very happy, and the site features all their current projects. The results are very modern, and everything is where it should be.

How did Codism LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

I can reach out to them whenever I have a quick question or a task for them. In this last project, I send both team members emails. They're both very responsive. Our best mode of communication is Skype, and they're very quick. We occasionally call each other, or I'll send outlines or details via email or Dropbox.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're responsive, and my sites are all very successful. They make things work when I need them to, and I just hired them again for another project. Their rates are very fair.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, I have to explain things a couple of times to be understood. That is one place they could improve. They have asked to speak on the phone occasionally, and that's usually clearer.

They are currently helping us to create an open source web application. We provide requirements and structure around what we are looking to develop, and they handle all of the programming necessary to produce that. In this case, they have been working with the web framework in a language called PHP.

All the work they have completed for us so far has been in line with our expectations. Anytime we run into an issue, they do a great job of fixing those as quickly as they are brought to their attention.

Their team is very responsive and addresses all of the issues I raise with them. They stay on top of all of the project requirements and let us know proactively what they will need to get everything done on time. As far as communication channels, we’re an IT company so we use our internal project management tools.

We’ve had a couple of hang-ups on schedules, but they’ve handled every setback and impressed us at every turn. I always judge a company by what they do when things go wrong, and they are honest and effective at every turn.

I just bought a pet food supplement company from my partners. We’ve been around for about 20 years. When I bought the company, I wanted to start doing things my way.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codism LLC?

I wanted to refresh the website, bring it up to date, and create a more robust shopping cart. We were mainly focused on the design and the backend cart. I specifically wanted to build the e-commerce site on a platform that was distinctly my own.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We decided to use WooCommerce to give me more ownership of the site. Their team created the platform from scratch, incorporating the features I requested. On the frontend specifically, we collaborated to create something that was appealing to the eye and navigatable. Especially with a more nuanced brand like ours, a lot of education has to be done for customers as part of the shopping experience. To do that, they built appropriate features to aid this effort, links, drop-downs, and affiliate plug-ins. 

They also made it possible to track preexisting and existing orders as well as facilitate shipping. The site is now live, but they’re still working on some SEO implementations and other changes.

What is the team composition?

I worked with two members of their team. I’m not sure how they distributed that workload to others.

How did you come to work with Codism LLC?

I started with some online research. Many vendors appeared to be out of our budget, but we reached out and got quoted by 10–15 companies. Codism LLC wasn’t the lowest or the highest in price. We went with them because they showed me their portfolio in our early discussions, and we were confident that they could do what I needed.

We spent $3,000–$5,000 on the site.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from August–October 2019.

I just want to be happy with the work, and I am. So far, everything is functioning well. If there’s a problem, they’ll fix it right away. Everyone we’ve shown the site has praise for it.

Our main point of contact had great communication skills. They clearly informed me of what they needed from me to be successful in the beginning. When I supplied that to them, they were able to help with everything I needed. We used email, text, and phone calls to communicate.

They were reliable communicators that were on top of tasks. I was always receiving texts, emails, or phone calls discussing what was needed to get the job done.
