Corporate Tech is our managed IT partner.  They provide us with everything from Server and work station management, as well as manage softwares like Office 365, system backups and provide us with several excepetional tools to keep our network up, running and safe.  They do things like identify and upgrade our workstations to Windows 11.  They are an invaluable service that frankly, we couldn't do without in todays online world.  Today they had to remove old, unused files from a work staiton and install Windows 11.  Neither one of these items progressed easily but the techs were on top of it and had the probelms solved right away.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Free space was obtained on the laptop and Windows 11 was successfully installed with no fuss on my side.  Very smooth project, as they usually are.

After the initial appointment scheduled to upgrade the machine, and the problems were found, they worked on the solutions right away and solved both problems.

Their work supports not only our internal team but also the technology infrastructure of our multipurpose facility, which hosts tens of thousands of guests and volunteers annually. 

• Additonally over the last two years, they have been heavely involved in prepping our new facility that just opened in August 2025. Key deliverables include:
• Active Directory & Identity Management Administration of user accounts, security groups, and role-based access across systems to ensure secure and compliant access for more than 100+ users and partners.
• Network & Onsite Infrastructure Management Ongoing maintenance and optimization of our servers, network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring high availability and reliable connectivity across our campus.
• Cybersecurity Monitoring & Protection Regular security assessments, patching, endpoint protection, and threat response to safeguard sensitive organizational systems and donor data.
• Mission-Critical Event Support Enhanced technical readiness and on-demand IT coverage during major events, including Giving Hearts Day, which drives tens of millions of dollars in charitable giving.

• Help Desk & Technical Support Responsive troubleshooting and end-user support with fast resolution times for IT issues ranging from workstation setup to network connectivity.

Corporate Technologies has delivered measurable improvements in our IT operations, including faster response times, increased reliability, and stronger system performance. Compared to our previous vendor, where support requests often took several days to receive a response,
Corporate Technologies now resolves most support tickets within the same business day. Their proactive monitoring has also helped reduce system downtime and prevent technical disruptions during high-demand events such as Giving Hearts Day, contributing directly to operational continuity and organizational impact.

They are meticulous when handling complex technical initiatives such as server maintenance, network infrastructure upgrades, and Active Directory management, ensuring each step is planned, tested, and communicated clearly. For day-to-day support and simpler service tickets, they are fast, responsive, and efficient, often resolving issues within the same business day. 
Throughout every engagement, they communicate proactively—providing updates as work progresses, outlining next steps, and ensuring our team is informed and supported from start to finish.

What stands out most about Corporate Technologies is the level of partnership and commitment they bring to our organization. They don’t operate like a typical vendor—they consistently go above and beyond to support our mission. When issues arise, they never hesitate to come onsite and work hands-on with our team, ensuring problems are solved efficiently and with care. 
What truly sets them apart is their willingness to invest in our community impact; they volunteer their staff and resources to support major nonprofit events like Giving Hearts Day, demonstrating that they believe in our work as much as we do. Their reliability, responsiveness, and genuine partnership make them a trusted extension of our team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Corporate Technologies could have done differently?

One minor area of feedback is that some of the security tools and controls in place—while important and professionally justified—can occasionally feel restrictive to staff during day-to-day work. Overall, this is a small challenge that I understand is necessary as the Tech Lead at Dakota Medical Foundation, and when security software does impede our work, a quick ticket to the Corporate Technologies help desk resolves the issue.

Most recently, phased computer hardware upgrade in progress.  Initial batch of laptops and docking stations have been installed and troubleshooting substantially complete.

CorpTech has been responsive for help desk calls, escalating to more advanced tier when necessary, and providing on-the-ground tech support on request, as needed.  As a "lay person," dealing with computer issues can be intimidating and frustrating, but I have found the Corporate Technologies staff to be patient and tenacious in reaching workable and reasonably timely solutions.

Lost productivity due to computer issues is problematic, so any way to improve response time is always appreciated!

I was impressed by their professionalism. Whether it was Skylynn, Robbie, Joel, or a tech who helped onsite, they all have a way of making us feel like their only customer.

Tier 1 techs have struggled at times, however, I have not had an issue with Tier 1 assistance in about 6 months so there is improvement there.

The after-hours dispatching/support could improve their communication and relaying the urgency of issues. However, our business struggles with our own after-hours call center that is outsourced, so I am more understanding when it comes to after-hours help.

What challenge were you trying to address with Corporate Technologies?

Being a one person operation we were needing some additional help to backfill areas I didn't have time for or expertise with. We needed help with IT services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Corporate Technologies provides some managed IT services for our company. They handle the more complex and tedious IT tasks, including monitoring and updating our infrastructure, servers, routers, switches, WAPs, and VPNs. They also perform our backup and disaster recovery offsite preparation and set up our new laptops.

Moreover, Corporate Technologies performs weekly checks and reports on our servers’ status. They also make any necessary changes to our NAS and push out firmware and software updates to our infrastructure devices as needed.

What is the team composition?

We work with three or more teammates from Corporate Technologies, depending on the project.

How did you come to work with Corporate Technologies?

Corporate Technologies was already in our pipeline when I started working at my company. They’ve done a good job, so I see no reason to change them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Corporate Technologies keeps me informed of any changes to our infrastructure or laptops, and they fix things in a timely manner. For example, I get weekly updates about our server conditions and any service provided to users via email tickets.

How did Corporate Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been really good to work with. Michael (Senior Systems Engineer) and Josh (Senior Systems Engineer) can hop on a call, whether scheduled or not, and we can go over situations or projects in process to ensure we’re all on the same page. That’s really helpful for me versus playing email tag. We primarily communicate via email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with how quickly I can get hold of someone from Corporate Technologies locally.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Really, they have been great. If I ever have an issue I can jump on a call and it's addressed in a timely matter, and any changes are made quickly and always to my satisfaction.
