We needed a standalone campaign microsite to support a Private Equity recruitment drive. The site needed to be mobile-friendly, quick to load, and focused on lead generation for high-calibre candidates. Key deliverables included design, development, a lead capture form, basic SEO setup, and tracking for LinkedIn campaigns.

We had a really solid response in the first few weeks after launch. The site gave us somewhere clear to direct candidates from LinkedIn, and we had a good flow of relevant CVs coming through. It made our outreach feel a lot more targeted and professional.

Feedback summary

Creative Brand Design did not meet the client's expectations — in fact, the delivered site was less functional and incurred several technical issues. The team also missed deadlines and implemented changes without asking for approval from the client. Overall, they were a very unprofessional partner.

Website was built by the owner of the website - self taught and it was hoped that a professional company could improve upon this original design. Site was functional and receiving good traffic before Creative Brand Design became involved. Approx 1000 visitors per day

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• The design has been changed but progress has not been made because the site is less functional than it was before. The search function is cumbersome, the text too large in places, no test site was used and no prior testing took place see check compatibility with different browsers r the mobile version of the site.
• Creative Brand Design also decided to take over hosting without permission and then said,"Oh well, it's done now. You may as well just stay with our hosting". It took two months for them to finally put our site back to GoDaddy. Taking over hosting defaulted all setting to creative Brand Design and client payments were then received directly by Brand Design, essentially diverting funds to their account. This was refunded but no apology was ever received.

Horrible service. Whole project was supposed to take three to six months and ended up taking one year and three months. There are still ongoing issues with the website, but Creative Brand Design rarely responded to our emails. Traffic has reduced from 1000 visits per day to 150 per day. Creative Brand Design were not responsive to our needs at all and carried on regardless. Installed block editor on Wordpress without checking - this is apparently an outdated practise now.

Creative Brand Design don't seem to have the expertise to cope with a website that is fucntioning well with traffic. Definitely in over their heads and completely destroyed ten years of work, domain authority and traffic.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything.

They could have created a test design site. They could have been more responsive when they made errors and corrected these errors timeously. They could have asked for permission to take over the hosting instead of doing it without our knowledge.They could have refunded the misappropriated funds quicker. They could have answered emails and the CEO could have responded. He never once replied to any of our complaints.
