DoodleWeb started in 2019 with a simple frustration: too many agencies sell websites they cannot maintain. We built the opposite. A senior-only team in Seattle, hands on the code, working in Drupal, WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and React. Over 300 projects for 120+ clients since, from rebrands and new builds to migrations and accessibility work. Yes. This is called answer engine optimization, or AEO. We built SiteSonar, our own platform, to measure how often AI assistants cite a site for relevant queries and to identify the technical changes that improve it: structured data, crawler access, content structure, and entity consistency. We applied it to our own 349-page site and moved the citation rate substantially within 30 days.

Clients work directly with the people building their site. We set up a shared project board where every task, question, and decision lives, so there is a written record instead of scattered email threads. Most engagements run on a weekly check-in call, with a Slack or email channel for anything between calls. We ship to a staging environment early and often rather than holding work back for a single reveal, which means clients see progress in the actual browser instead of in static mockups. Feedback goes on the board against specific pages so nothing gets lost. For larger builds we work in milestones with a clear approval gate at each one, so scope changes get priced and agreed before they land rather than surfacing as a surprise at the end.
