We have studied numerous service providers, on portals like UpWork, and went through hundreds of possible partners for this role. The main criterion was the quality and originality of past works. It was not an easy search, but eventually, Flexy stood out.

First, we had several planning meetings to define the tasks and objectives. Then we have been having one or two meetings per week with the Flexy team to follow up on the progress, review the done work, and provide feedback. There is a very short feedback loop that helps us to make sure we DeskMe development team is on the same page with the designers of Flexy. It has been very productive and it has turned into a long-term cooperation.

At different stages, there were 5 different people involved, including the project managers, the designers and the 3D designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Flexy helped us to achieve our goal of having a modern and individual design for the marketing landing page of our world-class enterprise SaaS desk reservation service. I will let the work speak for itself, it can be seen at https://www.deskme.com It is the face of our company and the first impression, so has a very important value.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

In addition to weekly meetings we keep active communication through instant messaging via group chat, which helps to resolve any question quickly, so work never stops.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

With many companies you have to tell them what to do. In case of Flexy, they tell you what you need them to do, using their rich expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I believe they could do more marketing themselves, as they are truly a great find for any company that needs quality design services. They appear to focus much more on the customer projects, and give less priority to their own marketing efforts, which makes them harder to find.

The project manager was always available, even during his evening times since there was a large time difference. Communication always flowed effectively and smoothly.

The Flexy Global team was very confident in their approach and work. They helped us navigate unchartered waters efficiently and always happily, and they were always ready to learn something new about the industry for which they were creating the site.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing is ever perfect, but they came as close as possible on all fronts. I am not sure they could have done anything differently.

Complete overhaul of brand identity for the company, including designing a mascot, 2 logos (company + open source product). Complete redesign of the company webpage to reflect the new brand identity of the company All this should have been done keeping in mind our product is highly technical, and needed to be explained very visually to a broader audience.

We have declared a tender for the project, with five high-profile agencies pitching their solutions to us. Based on the philosophy and values of the Flexy team and their great approach to the problem, and the homework they've done before the call, we have decided to proceed with them.

For brand identity, we wanted an identity that reflected our values but also stood out in the myriad of other open-source/machine learning startups in the ecosystem.

1. Comprehensive research and masterful ideation Flexy team did thorough research to understand the company background, the space we are operating in and offered multiple solutions.
2. Distinctly different mood boards presented + continuous iteration Flexy team came back with a varied selection and ideas for both logos. To illustrate the dedication, just for the company logo, we've had about 70+ different high-quality suggestions over the three feedback cycles. Based on the mood board selected, we've built upon it iteratively together over the course of a few weeks.
3. Pre-final project review The Flexy team delivered a complete brand identity, not forgetting about details such as presentation, company swag, and a brand guideline book.
4. Improvement Flexy team values feedback and improvement. Together, we have reviewed all the items in detail before finalizing and improved profoundly even after the final designs were ready. To sum up, we worked really closely to iteratively come up with great end results over the course of 8 weeks.

We were working mostly with two PMs (for branding and webpage), but the team behind them included a Senior UI/UX designer, a Junior UI/UX designer, and an Art Director.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The results can be reviewed on activeloop.ai. Our main KPIs for this was to decrease the bounce rate + increase engagement on the webpage, as well as gauge the brand perception after the rebranding. Flexy's solution has delivered beyond expectations.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Flexy specialists truly become an integral part of your product/marketing team. We communicated daily to save time on iterations. Moreover, the team made sure to always meet the tight deadlines that I set and even managed to consistently overdeliver.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I've been amazed by the dedication and hard work the team puts into the collaboration. We could always count on their support and hard work, consistently hitting the high bar for quality. The extra mile is the default for Flexy: some mini-projects have been iterated over more than 10x times to make sure the end result is impactful and delights us as a client, and, more importantly, speaks to our target audience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Flexy has done great to accommodate our distributed team (we work across in US/Europe/India time schedules). I feel like to be truly global; they can diversify their workforce further to cater to clients that have global remote teams. From my last conversation with the agency leadership, they have done so, so this is but a minor note to otherwise stellar performance on a very demanding project.

Our entire team is very happy with the deliverables (screens, UI Kit and animations). with on time meetings and deliverables. We tested the new designs with our customers and their feedback has been positive. Also we presented the new designs to the board of directors and they are impressed.

We used Slack to communicate and also had marked meetings on Tuesdays and Fridays. Then we used Zoom for the meetings. Everything was delivered on time. The workflow was the best we have experienced!

The idea of Oplos is to give people the opportunity to know the viewpoints of others. We want to connect people all around the globe debating about the hottest topics. Our voting and ranking will help everyone to easily understand how the flow went. For the companies looking for the implementation of decision making processes, we have designed Oplos for enterprise.

Simply, they can create their teams and units and discuss any issue. In only 4 steps each issue will get solutions, arguments, edits and votes. The system is designed to make the most democratic decision without pushing minorities out of the discussions. The idea is to get rid of useless and endless meetings and video calls.

The platform is still under development, with no results yet. However, the team has done good user research and identified the key personas that will be possibly using our platform. This made Oplos be designed specifically for its future users and our customers who will be more likely to come back.

Everything was done very smoothly. The team was always in touch and ready to discuss anything. Whenever we send any updates in the late evening, they always get to us with a ready design the next day before noon.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

At first, we were afraid that as the project consists of many small components we’ll lose track and won’t be able to get all the pages needed for the development, but they helped us to find missing points and to improve content whenever we had any confusions. The major part of this project was the UX and the team supported us with their knowledge on user behavior, possible journey flows and confusions that can arise.

We can’t suggest anything. The work was done on time and in a thorough manner.

As a first stage, Flexy team provided their recommendations in improving HireBee platform. As a second stage, we had our own ideas and feedback from customers that was leading us to make improvements. On both tasks Flexy did an enormous job!

They not only redesigned our platform but they were brainstorming with our team members (product owner and CEO/Co-founder), suggesting and improving solutions, thinking about the users very carefully. A big surprise for us was that Flexy even managed to do a small branding and created a new logo and brand book for HireBee! This gesture melted our hearts completely:)

it was an incredible pace. we were able to identify the basic concepts and principles within a couple of weeks. That's most often is the difficult part. After the overall direction and ideas were finalized, their team was very diligent with reviews and the progress of the pages. Very valuable inputs from the team based on their experience and knowledge on how to make the user experience better and smoother.

We were having fantastic weekly review meetings, all comments that were generated during the reviews were addressed and executed in a timely manner. We had the feeling of confidence and trust when the proposals on how to improve the flow were coming in during the meetings.

Outstanding, great team, I liked working together - I was very pleased with the speed of the work, this is important for working in startups. It was also cool that there was an atmosphere of a full-fledged product team.

I liked that there was very close communication with our team, there were a lot of short syncs and calls, which made it possible to see progress and participate in decision-making, discussions and we had a clear picture of why this or that solution was proposed for our product.

Describing the scope in a little more detail will help not to miss anything. Overall, working with the agency was really pleasant.

I am a senior partner at a law firm. It is one of the largest law firms in Armenia. I am also responsible for internal management processes and automatization, as well as the implementation of new solutions and technologies (in addition to the legal work)

We were developing a CRM system - a unified central point to connect several solutions we used (BB workspaces, Toggl for time tracking, mailing, calendar etc.). The programmer team was doing a good job in coding but were not good at design and process shaping.

I tried to hire freelancers from several online platforms, but despite a large amount spent I was not happy with the results. So we hired Flexy to assist with the design, but also with the flows to serve as guides for the programming team

What were your goals for this project?

To have a very intuitive system, that our whole term will be able to use with a very short learning curve, and without internal discomfort (so they fill in data on the spot, instead of constant reminders and trainings). The flow should be optimal, and buttons and view intuititve.

SOLUTION

How did you select Flexy Global?

I know the management a long time since they were in Qube (we actually assisted them in the exit). Whe I learned they have now established Flexy, I immediately asked a fee proposal to hire them, as their previous work was impressive. The price was rather competitive, and we hired them.

We shaped the process in three stages

• firstly to develop base design structure, and two sections
• clients and projects, which is completed fully and implemented and functional
• the second phase was the development of invoicing, cost recording and basic reporting pages (the design is finalized, implemented by the programmers, and now in the QA process)
• the last page, detailed reporting, and some auxiliary pages (settings, personal pages etc.) - to be implemented now

What was the team composition?

From our side, it was me for overall conceptual approach, our office manager and the programmers, from the Flexy we walked with David (who was the main contact person, who participate in all discussions and with who I was discussing the details of the processes), and Nastya (who was the main contact for design particularities). We didn't inquire further on the backoffice, so no information on other members from the Flexy.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The two stages have been finalized by Flexy (one is working already in our system, the second one in QA on demo server), while the third stage pending (was postponed somewhat on our part due to the ongoing war in Armenia - although Flexy being global with team members in different jurisdictions was available).

The existing implemented parts have gained positive feedback from our team members, and they now wait for the cost recording and invoicing sections, to further be able implement those with ease and save time and resources (first days of each month, the administration team spends very high amount of time for invoicing).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I would suggest the work and cooperation was very easy, both David and Nastya are easy to go ahead, and also they are fine to work both with me and our office team, but also with the programming team to direct them within the implementation, as well to review the implementation and provide feedback on bugs and shortcommings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I really liked while working with Flexy team is that they were taking into account all my wishes and were ready to change some design elements even if previously I have indicated differently, but changed the mind after other sections or flaws were finalized.

It gave me the flexibility in delivering my CRM tool to its perfect condition. After finishing the CRM, I think to hire them to upgrade our other software solutions (e.g. our debt collection solution and others)

Are there any areas for improvement?

So far, they provided the best experience in UX/UI design, so won't be able to suggest anything for now. Also, the pricing was nice/moderate, so overall I'd say we are happy to work with them.
