We are full-cycle cybersecurity services company. We provide deep cybersecurity services including penetration testing (OWASP methodologies + simulating real-world attack scenarios with Kali Linux and other hacking tools and proprietary methodologies

We hired Grindset Software to implement an AI-driven fraud detection algorithm for our online payment processing partner. The primary objectives were to enhance transaction security, prevent fraudulent activities, and maintain customer trust.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project was to implement an automated AI-based system to detect suspicious transactions for a big payment processor system. The system already had a proprietary algorithm, but it used hardcoded rules to flag the transactions. It wasn’t adaptive, and with time, the accuracy decreased to 70%. As a result, it required human resources to double-check the transactions, which slowed down the payment flow and increased maintenance costs. 

Grindset Software fixed all these issues with a better solution. They started with extensive RnD, gathered data, ran exploratory data analysis (EDA), and suggested a few possible solutions. After we finalized the architecture together, they implemented and deployed the algorithm. As a bonus feature, they set up a data processing pipeline to feed new data to the system daily so it stays adaptive.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The system was lightweight, and the hosting cost didn’t increase too much. The implementation was clean, stable, tested, and well-documented. The accuracy increased from 70% to 98%. The support department reduced from 5 people to 1.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Everything went as planned without any delays. Halfway through we added a few requirements, the team adapted, and delivered them as negotiated. Overall, project management is great; the team is aligned with our vision, no communication barriers or anything.

The founders have a clear and direct vision of software quality. We noted it from our first call and confirmed it after the project delivery. They do what they say.

I didn’t notice anything important during our cooperation, so I guess not.
