We've implemented a comprehensive digital marketing program with the InFlow team for our eCommerce brand over the past several years, designed to generate excursion bookings from our target audience of cruise travelers, optimize our site to drive qualified search traffic, and optimize conversion from visitors to our website.

During the course of our agency engagement, this has included a comprehensive SEO campaign (onsite content strategy and implementation, onsite technical SEO, offsite SEO, integrated digital advertising campaigns (across multiple channels including paid search, display, video, and paid social - all with prospecting and retargeting initiatives), and CRO testing to improve conversion rate on our website.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Revenue and more importantly profitability, has grown tremendously since our partnership with the InFlow team. As an example withing our paid digital ad campaign, profitability has increased 73% year to date (vs our benchmark data pre-pandemic. Within our SEO campaign, revenue has increased 82% year to date (vs our benchmark data pre-pandemic).

Having worked on the 'client' side (big corporate, small start-up and mid-sized companies) and 'agency' side (traditional ad agency, digital agency, marketing consultancy and more) over a long career in marketing, in my experience it's difficult to find an agency partner that consistently delivers like Inflow.

The lead contact for each activity has deep expertise, they offer smart, strategic recommendations and then execute successfully on them, and utilize a data-driven approach and mindset to optimizing campaigns based on our KPIs.

The Inflow team is highly-collaborative and results-oriented, they are able to clearly articulate campaign performance and how/when to adjust. They are also very quick to respond to questions and challenges that often arise and need to be addressed quickly, which should be the standard - but in my experience typically is not.

The SEO team did an in-depth site audit and helped implement a lot of best practices to optimize my site. Over the 6 month SEO contract I saw a 50% increase in web traffic. I still use Inflow for PPC and the team has increased the effectiveness of my Google ads to drive web and in-store sales, and they keep up with all of Google's updates and ad types, and report and collaborate with me on results to adjust in order to get the best return on my ad spend.

Communication was always prompt. The team is forthcoming with new information as well as responsive to my questions and requests for pivots and changes. Deliverables within their control (not waiting on outside issues) were always completed on time.

Digital marketing is still a new enough field to be lacking in long-dated expertise. There are many agencies in my email inbox every morning promising results. For a small business with a limited budget, most agencies assign their least experienced and least effective people. With Inflow, everyone I have worked with has been very experienced and knowledgeable about their subject area and I've always been impressed with their output.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Inflow could have done differently?

I felt SEO services, while effective, are difficult to justify cost-wise for a small business with limited budget. I would have been able to assign more value to those services if they had come with a CRO component and been more revenue-driven. Otherwise I have been very happy working with Inflow for several years now and am in the process of adding more services.

One project that we worked on focused on revamping a website in order to make it mobile-friendly. It showed a 180% increase in mobile conversion rates.

We've seen customers go from having zero presence for a brand-new site to ranking within the first three positions organically for keywords on Google. Inflow has helped us establish strategies for Pinterest advertising when the service came out. They helped analyze various sites for conversion improvements, making minor tweaks and adjustments which resulted in more sales for the client. Pretty much everything they've touched has worked.

This is mostly due to the fact that Inflow is clear in terms of what they can and can't do. If a client comes to them with unrealistic goals, they will be honest by saying no matter how much money is spent, there won't be improvements going in that direction.
