What was the scope of their involvement?

Integris has purchased a lot of hardware and software for our company. The services they provide are primarily remote, but they will come on-site upon request.

Tim is our main point of contact. He handles big-picture roadmap projects. For support, we utilize a support line, and anybody on staff supports us.

During COVID-19, we had to let go of our in-house IT specialist. He moved to Integris, and we followed him.

The engagement started in July 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since we hired Integris, we've significantly reduced our dependence on one person's expertise. Moreover, moving to a service has been more cost-efficient than having an in-house IT department. We've saved about 20% over having an in-house team.

How did Integris perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management team is very communicative. They have done as directed, and there haven't been any unexpected surprises.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Tim is fantastic. He was in-house prior, so he understands our business and its needs. He understands the specific idiosyncrasies of what we deal with daily.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Integris' biggest strength is having backup and someone in case of emergencies on nights and weekends. Being in the theater business, all of our business happens on nights and weekends.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Integris' urgent support has become much more difficult these days. We used to be able to call the line and get somebody on the phone quickly, but that's no longer the case. We can be on hold for a very long time, such as around 20 minutes.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a strong relationship with your main point of contact. Someone needs to own your business's specific needs. Support is seen by anybody who works there, and things can sometimes get lost in the shuffle. It’s really important that your main point of contact understands the ins and outs of your business so they can properly explain it to the rest of the support team.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Integris provides remote managed IT, cybersecurity, and cloud services. The team helps manage our software, hardware, and servers in different locations and solves IT-related help tickets. They upgrade our computers and replace old ones. For cybersecurity, they handle penetration testing and security training. The team also ensures we're not clicking on phishing links and runs tests.

We work with two main representatives, Paul and Deborah. They have tech teams, but they're transitioning to assign specific team members to companies. At the moment, we don't have specific IT people. Whoever is available contacts us to help us with our problems.

We've been working with them for several years, even before they rebranded to Integris.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Integris' biggest strength is helping our security and ensuring we have the latest security updates. The team ensures our cybersecurity is top-notch and that nobody can get into our company's back doors. Integris manages our system and provides excellent support.

The team is working on having a designated group of technicians for our company. That's something we'd like to have.

I’m the deputy director at Irvine Nature Center, a nonprofit environmental education organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Integris?

We had a part-time IT manager on-site, but it was becoming too much work for that individual.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Integris handles all of our server management and anything IT-related. We've transitioned to a cloud-based server management system, and they've started doing a lot more in-depth reporting than we were doing before. They provide mostly off-site services, but a tech comes on-site once a week to help with issues. Integris has also upgraded 40 laptops and PCs to Windows 11. They constantly examine our IT security and ensure we're making the best upgrades and appropriately managing the software.

We're primarily in contact with Jake, and we're also in touch with his boss, Jeff.

How did you come to work with Integris?

A member of our board of trustees had previously worked with Integris and recommended them. We contacted them and found that they were a reliable partner.

Our systems are a lot more secure now that we're working with Integris. We love them, and we're going to continue working with them.

How did Integris perform from a project management standpoint?

They're on time and stay on budget. They send a schedule and updates every week. They're constantly in touch with us to make sure we don't have any questions and that the project is going well. We communicate via email and have check-in Zoom and Microsoft Teams meetings every other week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're impressed with their timeliness. We're a small organization, and we don't have any IT support on-site. If somebody has a problem, we reach out to Integris. We can't remember a single time when it's been more than 2 or 3 hours after putting in a ticket that they've reached back out to us. They're on top of things and get things resolved quickly.

We also appreciate their commitment to ensuring they're doing a good job and providing excellent service. They hear us and make changes right away. They're very responsive.

Be honest from the beginning about what the project looks like and what you want the partnership to look like. Lay the groundwork and be honest about your needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Integris?

We wanted to decrease downtime and have a better response from a managed service partner. We switched from a different partner to Integris.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Integris provides IT managed services, cybersecurity, vendor management, and network security. The team is responsible for handling anything in the IT world for us.

Initially, Integris provided a monthly agreement and gave us three different options for their cost. We've chosen between the three options, and the team has told us exactly what each one contains and covers. We've met with two representatives who have come to our office, talked about the project, and gone back and forth with several questions to ensure they cover everything we look for. Later, we signed the agreement.

Integris has purchased a backup device for us that switches our backups from one company to another since they use a different vendor. That has been the only hardware we've needed to purchase. Integris provides services on-site and remotely.

We work with four people from Integris, including Joshua, our strategic account adviser; a senior systems engineer; and Lucas, our client success manager.

How did you come to work with Integris?

We found Integris through a referral. We chose them because of their cost and what they could provide at that cost.

We spend roughly $27,000 a month.

We started working with them in June 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have less downtime, and Integris's response times are faster than those of our previously managed service provider. When we make a phone call, we have somebody immediately address our needs. Instead of waiting a day or two to get a response, we can make a single phone call and have an immediate response. Integris' work has met our expectations.

How did Integris perform from a project management standpoint?

Integris delivers work on time and within budget and communicates well with us. We use Microsoft Teams for video meetings. Integris has a ticket management system that allows us to create tickets. We can also send an email or make a phone call to create a ticket.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Integris's biggest strength is that we have a dedicated person to our account who can call on any day of the week and is familiar with our system.

There's nothing Integris can improve on.

We rarely have to contact Integris because the setup is so good. The quality of their work has exceeded our expectations, and it's exceedingly rare that we have any IT issues.

Integris is always prompt and punctual. They deliver on time and within budget. We communicate using their ticket management system, phone calls, and email.

Integris’ customer service is great. They’re friendly and great people to work with.

We work with a team called Team Falcon, which consists of 4–5 members. One of them comes more often than others, but whoever is available helps us with our needs.

Integris was already hired when I started working in my position. I believe the team evolved from a previous company.

Integris does an excellent job. Occasionally, we have issues, but the team quickly resolves them. Overall, Integris meets our expectations in terms of performance and service quality. Since our office has grown, the team has grown alongside us. It all has worked out.

Integris keeps in contact with us and lets us know what they’re doing. If they need our advice or direction, they ask for it. The team also informs us when a task is completed. We mainly communicate via email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with the scope of what Integris can handle and fix for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes, Integris takes a little longer to respond to our emails or voicemails and let us know they’ve received them. The team typically handles things in a timely fashion, but it would be better if they acknowledged our requests more quickly.

Have Integris understand how your business works. It’s important for the team to know if you can’t have your systems down or if your computers are not working properly. Integris must understand how your business runs, which will be the most important factor in your collaboration.

I’m the director of IT at Mid Kansas Pediatric Associates, a private pediatric group in Kansas. I have a nursing background and handle all of our clinical software.

Integris has replaced the servers we needed then and taken over as our managed service provider. They help us with networking, printing, and application and software needs.

We work with 4–6 teammates from Integris, including Doug and Stephen.

How did you come to work with Integris?

Our electronic medical records vendor referred us to them. We had been looking at several companies, and Integris’ pricing was accommodating and reasonable. They came in with the best bid, especially for the servers we needed to replace, so we hired them.

We don’t have any issues with their work. Their timeliness is excellent; when we submit a ticket, it’s usually completed within the same or the next day.

How did Integris perform from a project management standpoint?

Integris ensures that they utilize a project manager for every project, which is helpful for keeping everyone aware of the steps we’re taking. They also hold weekly or biweekly meetings with everyone on the team. We communicate via Zoom and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail is great, and they ensure we’re satisfied. If there’s an issue, they follow up to ensure it’s not recurring and has been fully resolved. We also like their team approach; we’re always getting the same people, so we’re used to the technicians and engineers.

The quote process could be a little faster.

Work with Integris as your vCIO so they know your environment, needs, and future needs. The better they know you, the better they can work with you.

I’m the VP of information systems at Community Health Resources. We’re a behavioral healthcare provider in Connecticut. We have over 30 locations and almost 900 employees. We provide behavioral health services to children and adults, including foster care, methadone treatments, and partnerships with the department of corrections.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechMD?

We were trying to fortify our existing IT department by adding an advanced skill set for infrastructure support.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechMD supports our infrastructure. They purchase and support our firewalls, switching equipment, WiFi endpoints, virtual servers, and servers. They also support our switches and routers and monitor our systems.

TechMD provides off-site support but will come out to install equipment when we need their assistance. They build servers for us and manage our support contracts and license subscriptions.

We have a sales representative, a designated support person, and a virtual CIO.

How did you come to work with TechMD?

I had been a customer of the company that TechMD took over, so it was an easy transition. I chose to keep working with them because I could count on the support I had been provided, and the expectations continued to be met.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our security posture has improved immensely since working with TechMD. We stay on top of our end-of-life equipment and meet all HIPAA standards and guidelines with the support of TechMD.

How did TechMD perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is excellent. They plan and communicate well and deliver on time and within expectations. We use their ticketing system and email for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The way they work together and coordinate efforts is impressive. We meet regularly with our sales representative, designated support person, and virtual CIO. TechMD has a good system in place where my communication with those folks trickles through the organization to purchasing. We have 24-hour support, and they communicate well within their own organization.

They’re working on improving the tools they provide to their customers, which is a move in the right direction.

Determine exactly what type of services you expect. There’s so much within IT, such as workstations, help desk and infrastructure support, and budget management. Have a clear idea of the gaps within your organization that you’re trying to fill with TechMD’s support.
