We’re still in the demo stage, intending to produce a fully-functional prototype. Everything has been done timely, and we’ve hit all of our major benchmarks. They’re very responsive and quick to action.

Their team uses Basecamp for project management. It is easy to use and runs smoothly. I’m able to check in on the project through that.

We’ve been very happy working with them and the results. The app is still in production.

Their team has an outline of the deliverables that each have a due date. They’ve been great at turnaround time and receptive to our specific feedback.

Les’ involvement has been awesome. Jacob Tyler has done multiple revisions and has been flexible in accommodating our feedback even after we’ve done some changes we agreed upon. They’ve been phenomenal to work with.

They were quick to understand our brand, and we were very well aligned. They hit every point very fast so that eliminated a lot of iterative correspondence. Their team fine-tuned everything and nailed who we are as a company immediately. Their ability to understand what we’re going for and then produce impressive work is one of their many strong suits.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

Jacob Tyler provided a Gantt chart early on that gave us a timeline for the project. Their team worked with us by compressing the timeline by two weeks in order to meet our launch date. They actively trimmed that out and are pushing themselves to make it happen by our deadline.

Their team is organized and proactive. We’ve thrown curveballs their way, and they’ve been great at working in parallel and not letting anything impede the progress. Also, communication is super seamless and quick.

I'm most impressed with their understanding of our needs and ability to give us high-quality services at a reasonable price. We get a lot for what we’re paying. Additionally, their team is in tune with the market and trends.

The scope of work I hired Jacob Tyler initially for was for visual identity, brand positioning, market opportunities research and go-to market strategy. I was so pleased that now the team is working on our new Shopify Website and planning for ongoing marketing including content development, paid media, and social media, and Amazon store development.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The initial outcomes were not ROI focused. The goal was set a new brand foundation and validate our direction moving forward. Which we did. After formal launch, I will be judging our success in revenue from our new site and ongoing marketing,.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Super easy. We used a platform called Basecamp for project collaboration and InVision for creative reviews and commenting. I travel a lot so it made it easy for me to be a part of the process from wherever I was.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team. I really felt like they help my hand and created a great experience for me. Their ideas are inventive and scrappy. They pushed hard and kept us accountable to deadlines.

Not really or at least I can't think of anything now. As I work with them more, I may come up with ideas but I really feel like they have their processes down.

Jacob Tyler is designing our web presence, as well as some ancillary materials that we’ll be giving directly to some of our partners. The team is also helping us with overall marketing strategy, brand messaging, and personality.

They take our model for delivery and create a more comprehensive strategy for reaching the people we need to reach. They’re also working on updating our logo design and designing and developing our website.

Some of the features that they’re creating for the website include video testimonials as well as functionality that enables patients to contact their own dentists.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Jacob Tyler has helped us in terms of our messaging. Even though the project isn’t completed and we don’t have the website up, just doing the messaging has given us materials that we can use right away to pitch and talk to our customers.

This also gives us the ability to make smaller-scale marketing materials like flyers which we can do on a short-term basis. Doing that upfront research and brand messaging work with the team has allowed us to have some early deliverables.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

The team is very thorough when it comes to project management. They are communicative, and we use Basecamp. Jacob Tyler gets back to us within the same day, and they deliver on time or early. Additionally, they solicit feedback and quickly do edits when necessary.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness and experience set them apart. Jacob Tyler has experience working with big contracts and companies nationwide. I talk to the owner and the team members regularly, and the same people who sold us on the project, are the people who we’re working with. 

This is usually different in large agencies, where the people you speak to hand off their work to less-experienced teammates. Jacob Tyler strikes a balance between having nationwide experience while remaining small enough to know the people they work with by name and face.

Know that they’re very responsive, so it will be helpful for you to be equally as responsive in order to get the project done on time.

I’m the President of Bitcentral, Inc. We provide software solutions to help people maximize the value of their media. We have several large broadcast tv news customers, and we do provide on-premise software solutions. We also are in the digital space for video, as well. It allows the customer to own their content and monetize it. We are #1 in the country in the broadcast news space, holding 50% share, which is more than our competitors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?

We had a new project, called Fuel, entering the digital media space. So, we needed branding. We also were looking to build our reputation in the digital space. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They came up with the whole brand messaging guide, including the brand story, the reason this solution exists, for our internal team as well as external audiences. They did a positioning statement, describing the core of what the product does, brand promise, tagline, and entire brand personality to define who we are, how we work and how we communicate with our audiences. There were key characteristics of the brand personality, such as nimble, brand-tested, knowledgeable, and a brand voice, setting the tone of the language as passionate, empathetic, confident, and more. They created a consistency between the brand messaging and language.
They came up with unique selling propositions for the various targets/personnel we would address, including CEOs, general managers, head engineers, and users. 
They did a similar, less full, branding for Bitcentral.
They also did brand design and backend development of the website; a landing page, called Streamingfuel.com. It’s a lead generation site; they optimized it for SEO and SEM, and tied it into the graphic design and creative of the brochures they created.
They created a four-page Fuel brochure, and a two-page quick sheet.

Tom (Creative Director) was the lead creative; there was an account manager and someone working on graphic design. There may have been other working, but those were the three main points of contact.

We needed the branding done quickly, and were impressed with how quickly they worked without sacrificing quality. Their work hit the right tone; our founder felt it was brilliant. We really liked the way they translated the words into visual concepts for the brochures and website. Feedback from everyone has been quite positive; great output.

They were extremely responsive and available. We communicated continuously, mainly via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver on their promise in a timely manner. Their process was great; they interviewed key people and really listened, implementing all the necessary key things into their work. They felt like a partner rather than a vendor. It was enjoyable, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat.

We had a 10-year-old website that needed to be revamped.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We contracted them for branding and messaging and the design and development of our new website. We wanted a whole new look, and we wanted it to be clear as to who we are and where we’re going.

We provided them with a bulleted list of issues we were having or ideas we wanted to include in the sight. We also did a bit of research on other sites, new technology, and modern looks. We just gave them an idea of what we did and didn’t like on some existing sites.

For the branding part of the project, they put together a meeting and started interviewing leadership in our company. I think they sat down with all of our executives at one of our offices to talk about what our brand is. We determined who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

We worked with a branding manager and two other employees. Then once we went into the design part of the project, we worked with the coordinator that was with us throughout the service and a designer. After that, we worked with a developer.

 They were very patient with us. They were flexible and we were able to introduce new ideas. They gave us some feedback as to if there were any limitations, but there were very few. They were just very proactive about finding alternatives. They listened to our needs, and overall, they’ve provided a very good service. They offered a lot of modern technology for the questions we had regarding how the site would look in the future.

We used Basecamp. The coordinator was always on task. They introduced us to a schedule of delivery and we knew all the milestones we needed to hit. Working on this throughout COVID-19, they kept moving forward and delivered within our deadlines.

This included a new logo, fresh designs, and improving the platform’s clarity. Their team came up with all the mockups and wireframes. The website’s new modern design and ease of navigation are great. Jacob Tyler helped us organize our exhibit and aircraft web pages by enhancing the UI. Our platform is now user-friendly and brings us into the modern era. We’re now in the same competitive space as other museums in our field. Before, it was challenging to get all that information to the user in an easy, navigable way. Now, users can navigate our site with ease.

Jacob Tyler’s rebranding services have enhanced our image. It’s made us more credible and able to stand our ground in the aerospace STEM industry. Our logo and visuals are all enhanced. We can compete with the big players now.

How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve exceeded our expectations in meeting all the project deadlines. Their team is very professional and organized in their timelines. Project and time management are definitely their strong suit. We use Basecamp as a tool for communication and collaboration.

We have phone calls once or twice a week to set deadlines, and it works really well for us. They’re easily accessible through video conferencing. If I have any questions, they take the time to fully answer them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There was natural ease of communication. The project manager is great about holding us accountable, without being pushy. They don’t get caught up in technical aspects and deliver down-to-earth open lines of communication. I really feel that I’m a part of their team and vice versa.

Make sure to provide examples of what you do and don’t like. Setting those standards ahead of time will make it easier for their designer to streamline the process.
