What was the scope of their involvement?

I told them what aesthetic and ideas I was looking for then left it to the team to decide. The main requirement was that it should be something accessible to an elderly person or a young person. It needed to be user-friendly and self-explanatory. They developed the e-commerce site on .NET and are in the process of launching the platform. The iOS and Android mobile apps will be launched early next year.

It's now in the testing phase. We developed a beta version and showed it to our investors, as well as some of our colleagues and friends. Based on that input, they’re incorporating more features.

There was a project manager and a business analyst that coordinated with our team to provide input to the seven or eight developers. My partner and team are more involved with the project manager and the team. I speak mainly to the CEO.

The team has been great. They come up with good suggestions, and they delivered what we asked of them on time. Our colleagues and friends who are in the medical profession gave us several suggestions on how things could be incorporated, and that’s what we’ve done. What they developed is very reliable and we’re very satisfied.

I can’t find any fault in the project management. They use a team application to communicate with my tech partner. I recommend them to anybody as there have been no issues at all.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re hardworking people. They don’t look at work as just a job, but as an engagement, so they take full ownership of the project. They’re pretty prompt at replying, on deliverables, and on good giving feedback. They've also given quite a few suggestions, which is nice to have.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The market needs are changing very fast so you always need some flexibility. Keyideas is great when it comes to ideation, incorporating new ideas, and executing them. You can simply outsource your tech-related worries to them.

Our previous apps were done using .NET, so we asked Keyideas to work in .NET. They were involved in both front- and backend applications.

We don’t keep track of any formal metrics, but they did the job very well. I’m very pleased with their contributions.

Their developers, designers, and testers worked in tandem with our project manager. We used Plan.io and JIRA to track tasks and bugs, and it worked very well for us.

They’re quite flexible, reliable, and ready to work hard based on our timelines.

Working with a limited budget, we wanted to address our speed of delivery to the market by finding a reliable firm to serve as an outsourced software development partner.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

The initial project was to develop our B2B portal, which is a mini enterprise resource planning system that manages the entire operation. We use that system for product management, host processing, price management, stock control, ordering, cash management, printing labels, and communication with portable data entry device scales and point of sale devices. Keyideas utilized .NET, C#, Angular, HTML5, REST, and MS SQL Server for the new web-based solution which can be deployed at certain locations or as a SaaS. For the B2C portal, they developed a solution using Magento and MySQL.

The team includes business analysts, developers, designers, a QA team, and now a digital marketing team for promotions.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our work is ongoing, but as of now, 95% of our 145 user stories have been tested and accepted. We recently showcased a beta version of the new B2C portal to our customers, and they were very excited. I am quite pleased with Keyideas Infotech’s performance.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The design and analysis phases were executed using the waterfall method, be we took a more agile approach during development. We used Jira during the development phase.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Keyideas Infotech’s staff is professional and competent, but the most impressive thing about them is their willingness to take on any challenge. This is not an easy project, but they exhibit confidence in their abilities at all levels of their organization. While the original intention was to develop the new system, a number of major enhancements were introduced during the analysis and design phases. As a true partner, Keyideas Infotech always helps us reach the most suitable solution.

Their technical and project management skills are excellent, but their business analysis warrants some improvement.

A close friend suggested them to me. I was apprehensive in the beginning since I wanted a software company based near us. I spoke with their project manager and director and felt very comfortable. The team was knowledgeable and sincere. I picked them out of the three vendors I had shortlisted.

They provided us with web development services. They're responsible for our web design and development, using .NET and MySQL. They also provided database work, training, and user testing.

The tool they built helped improve our efficiency and we've had a 5–6% increase in our monthly sales. Not only that, it has helped save us on the recurring costs every month by another 4–5%. The overall impact is around 10%.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The team was accessible to us. We used a tracking tool for much of the communication and documentation, and project milestones were captured using this software. Having access to all that information was useful for us as a client.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We had numerous phone calls and the nurturing feeling behind their customer service was the most incredible thing about them. What set them apart was their patience and ability to deal with our non-technical team. They walked us through the whole process from the other side of the country, and it was very impressive. They were meticulous and thorough. We communicated regularly by Skype and they were flexible with my availability.

There were a lot of moving parts in this project, so we found it challenging to keep track of everything. There was some room for improvement in this area, but not a lot.

Keyideas Infotech did a great job. We exclusively used email to communicate with our project manager, who has excellent response times. They also used a collaboration tool that showed us the progress of the project or of a specific task.

Communication is excellent. They were very patient with us since we’re not tech savvy and don't know much about software development. They not only respond promptly but also make sure they’re giving us the correct answer, which is one of the most important considerations for me. If a delay occurs, they provide a specific timeframe for completing the work and will respect that deadline.

I really can't think of any. They were at the top of their game.

What challenge were you trying to address with Keyideas?
We wanted to build a mobile app and a website which included the frontend and the backend. The challenge was to create an app to make the content available along with the complex images. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?
The app was built to serve a huge number of individuals from our huge customer base. The images were tailored to display differently for different users as loyal customers could view high-resolution images. Keyideas also developed personalized features based on the customers shopping behavior.

Initially through of working with other companies, but after receiving quotes, found them to be a lot higher. Once we came to know about Keyideas, we requested for a quote from them. It was within our budget and they were realistic in what they quoted. Through a series of interviews, we determined Keyideas was the best fit, based on the work they did in the past and our conversation with them. They understood what we were trying to do as they had already done similar projects.

The overall project took about 9 months to complete. It was a challenge for Keyideas to complete this huge project on schedule due to the huge volume of development but the project was smoothly executed. Their dedication, effort, and patience were truly appreciated. Project started in January 2017.

Keyideas has a great team who understands and closely map client’s requirements and provide the best cost-effective solution. They were very helpful throughout the design, development, and testing process. We were quite pleased with the mobile app developed by Keyideas and we look forward to working with them in our next phase. The expertise and the suggestions they gave us was really valuable.

Keyideas project management team was very helpful throughout the entire project and guided us in taking the right path. 

What did you find most impressive about Keyideas? 
They have a strong technical team and provided us the right solution. Their entire team was very professional throughout the project. Their quick response, smooth two-way communication, and knowledge of the development platform are their key strengths.

Are there any areas Keyideas could improve? 
During the end of the project, a couple of developers got replaced. It was a bit concerning, but the new guys picked up along with the other team members and the project milestones were not affected. The management and the development team are experts in their space, and they can deal with anything.
