The project was managed well overall, with clear communication throughout the design and build process. The team were responsive to feedback and open to iteration, which was important for us given the level of detail involved in positioning and brand presentation.

While there were moments where timelines felt a little compressed mid-project, this was addressed quickly once raised, and the overall delivery felt well managed thereafter. What stood out in particular was their responsiveness and willingness to help when we had last-minute needs, including assisting us promptly with urgent updates outside of core working hours. Communication was friendly, professional, and solutions-focused.

What stood out most was their design sensibility and attention to detail. They clearly understand how to translate brand positioning into a refined, high-end digital presence, which was important for us. The team also struck a good balance between creative direction and listening to our input, so the end result felt collaborative rather than templated.

Beyond the creative side, their responsiveness and willingness to go the extra mile was impressive. Even outside the core project scope, they were approachable, calm under pressure, and genuinely helpful when we needed support at short notice.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Musemind could have done differently?

At times during the earlier stages of the project, the timeline felt a little compressed, which meant we had to move quite quickly through some decisions. That said, once this was raised, communication and pacing improved and the team were receptive to feedback. Overall, this didn’t detract from the quality of the final outcome, and we were pleased with how collaboratively everything was handled.

At this stage, we haven’t measured the outcomes yet, as they largely depend on the ongoing development. We are closely monitoring progress and remain optimistic that the project will achieve the desired results once fully implemented

Initially, we faced challenges with on-time delivery and communication, which made coordination a bit difficult. Over time, the communication became much smoother, and the team became more responsive to our needs. That said, the project generally took longer than we had originally expected.

What impressed me most about the company was their commitment to user experience. Even though the design process required several iterations, the team consistently refined the app, and the final result was truly impressive.

One area for improvement could have been the project timeline, as the team could have completed the project in much less time. Communication could also have been smoother throughout the process. That said, in the end, we received exactly the outcome we expected. We were a bit confused initially since the project required more feedback than anticipated, as we were expecting they would provide the best result without much iteration. Nevertheless, achieving this level of design from Musemind was impressive, especially since they are one of the most popular design agencies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Musemind?

 We needed to augment our existing design team with additional resources who could work with us seamlessly and accommodate the shifting nature of working within corporations.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Musemind created a consistent, dynamic, and beautiful design system for our brand within Figma. This system allowed our designers to easily create new designs or edit old ones. Musemind created many new modules in our main product and helped redesign issues in existing modules. The team ideated and built functional prototypes of two new products for investment purposes. These designs were ready to build. Musemind also overhauled our existing brand website and built a number of landing pages for marketing funnels. The team touched almost every area of the product with new design or enhancement, from walkthroughs to search functionalities and overall enhancement of the feature layout within the product.

What is the team composition?

 We worked with five teammates from Musemind. 3 designer, 1 research/documentation specialist, and 1 project manager.

How did you come to work with Musemind?

I discovered Musemind on Upwork. I chose them because they provided me with a team of resources with varying skills and expertise. At first, I was specifically looking for help in design system building and asset management. I also needed someone very comfortable building complex dashboards. Later on, I knew I would need help with landing pages and marketing funnels. Musemind's large team allowed me to pull in different resources at different times in our long-term engagement.

What is the status of this engagement?

 We worked together from August 2024-July 2025.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

 Musemind delivered designs that increased the number of products, features, and artifacts. We launched two new products, 20+ responsive webpages, 25+ new features, and 50+ fixes to existing features. We also created dozens of prototypes and many user flow documents for ideation. Their work doubled the output of my department and streamlined the handover process with the tech team using their effective documentation via prototype and video.

How did Musemind perform from a project management standpoint?

 The way in which our teams needed to work meant much of the project management was already covered by my team. Musemind provided a project manager who assisted their designers, but it wasn't a type of project where we just handed them work and then they would walk off with it. However, the times in which we did rely on their project management, it was a good experience. We communicated via Microsoft Teams, Loom, email, and Monday.com.

What did you find most impressive about them?

 Musemind's ability to accommodate any design request I had was impressive. Since they could always rely on various resources who were not directly assigned to my team, I could work with Musemind to explore branding or marketing. It was wonderful not to need to look for other teams to help with additional work. We would discuss how to shift the workload or modify the payment to accommodate additional requests. It was fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

 No, there weren't any. Whenever I had an issue, they would explore the situation with me and then work on the solution right away.
