Their quality and development work are quality. We are very pleased with the overall product they delivered for us. They do well at providing maintenance and support, resolving issues very quickly.

How did The NineHertz perform from a project management standpoint?

They do a good job. We use Active Collab, a collaboration tool that allows us to manage and track cost, as well as progress of the developers. During development, we received daily progress reports with the expected progress of the following day. They delivered within estimated timeframes. They are quite responsive and communicate well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate the great ideas and suggestions they provided in terms of features for the application. Their development techniques, and optimization, are excellent. One of their strengths is the broad skill set they possess regarding mobile development.

Moving forward, they could start adding a few different collaborations with financials to allow early startups to move forward.

What challenge were you trying to address with The NineHertz?

We needed a way to manage all the raw materials and supplies. We needed to create towers and deploy the towers at different locations in remote areas of India and some other countries.

We needed software to handle the entire resource planning of our premises. We wanted an ERP that we could use ourselves to have everything in place, as well as to maintain the finances and all the operational activities that are required.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve been using the software for over 8 months in beta testing. It was launched approximately August or September 2019. The ERP is to be used by all the staff members of the company.

More than 8,000 employees are using this same software each day. It’s being used by the HR department for creating all the payouts for those employees. It’s being used by the procurement team to manage all our vendors all across India. There are more than 80 vendors who we work with who are all linked in with the same system.

Every software has certain user case studies that require certain amendments at any point of time. A lot of entire departments who are using the system has quality feedback. In some cases, they also have some recommendations from their end because each department has their own specific use cases. The NineHertz makes the changes according to the recommendations.

How did The NineHertz perform from a project management standpoint?

We started with Asana and then we wanted to use Zoho Projects, which they agreed to.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They make sure that whatever we just finished up is 100% to the mark. They take more time compared to others. They made suggestions that we didn’t even think of. They stop us every step to let us know if the user flow will need more brainstorming and time before moving onto the next thing. They have a very good understanding of how the system should work. They provide ideal timelines of when we can finish the entire system and launch it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re always on top of things. We were the subject matter experts but they were the right people to let us know how to transfer the expertise into a solution.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Leave it to them what kind of planning they’d like to have. They take some time but then they give you a plan that is most appropriate for the entire system. They might not target the entire system in one shot, but their plan will give you an advantage.

We come up with the requirements. For example, we tell them the security aspect that needs to be updated and the challenges that are coming up. Our measurement of their work is if the job is done or not because that’s how we get paid. It’s a subscription model. We also analyze the feedback from managers and team leads, as well as from the client’s end. We’ve been happy with their work.

We have a good relationship with them. Even in this COVID situation, the team is supporting us really well. We’re happy with their work and the way they respond to us. We use a secure network to input the tasks and completion of tasks. We also use various project management tools to manage the work.

The only thing is if we could get the resources on time, but I know that’s not something they can do. We’d like to keep this engagement going.

It’s responsive and compatible with mobile devices. They developed the backend in a way that allows us to make updates whenever needed, and it’s connected to the payroll management system as well. 
The website allows users to view all the packages and services we offer, and book their trip.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Had increased sales once the website was launched , I was getting orders offline as well as through LinkedIn and other websites but it was tedious as I was not able to have all the products to be displayed at one place thus affecting sales . Once website was launched , we witnessed approx 12% increase in second quarter of our website launch.

It was seamless, we used project management tool Basecamp for effective communication and followed the same throughout the project development lifecycle . We had regular Skype calls and shared the progress and feedbacks over Basecamp. We had the access to the basecamp and was made aware about how to use the same for project management. We were able to Tag the developers directly over any feedback we wanted to add.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Able to deliver what was committed initially , I had built two other websites previously for my businesses but those were not as seamless as the one with Nine Hertz. I was not aware of the project management tools and their utility . Working with Nine Hertz was learning experience for me as well. Their communication and commitment to the deadlines is what will keep them top in my list of development teams.

During the trail period I look for competence of the team, speed of completion, number of bugs and customer service. The Nine Herts was second company I tried on my short list which it had about 10 companies. The first company was a disaster so I left them. The second company was The Nine Hertz. They performed very high on all levels.

I gave them different complicated small projects. They finished it on time, bug free, and with super good customer service. So after this result. I stopped moving down on my short list. And have been with them for the past two years. I am SUPER happy with them.

The goal was to build new categories, features and redesign the business model. So they did a great job building and finishing our new categories, fixed some of the bugs, and redesigned our complicated business model. The challenge with new categories was to built visually good looking but at the same time user friendly mobile apps.

They provided me with some deeper aspects, challenges along with some really practical solutions and approach to on-board with regarding my development plans. They had provided me a detailed and representative set of documentation which was very intuitive and easy to understand.

Their consultant explained me all the relevant technologies to select from including their pro and cons with respect to the user experience, timeline, budget, flexibility and many more factors, enabling me to get a clear picture of what and how to move forward with the technology and development process.

The project was an E-commerce solution to bring my business online. This is an E-commerce mobile application for selling all my clothing collection for females including women accessories. User will be able to navigate through the application and view all the listed products. User can register on the application and shop from the collection. Apart from that, the feature which make my app more unique is its image searching. User needs to upload the image of the type of dress they are looking for and can get a list of dresses with similar type and color.

The application is native for both Android and iOS and the technology is React Native and Swift. The tech stack and the feature ideas were proposed by the team Nine hertz themselves. The sales consultant gathered each and every minute requirement from me and accordingly framed a full fledged strategy for my business plan.

I was the only point of contact to the team Nine Hertz and I was provided with a dedicated project manager for conveying and gathering regular project development status and feedback respectively. Initially I was provided with a detailed project scope document describing each and every module of the app along with all the possible future challenges. I was also provided with the process flow diagram for describing the navigational flow of all the features.

Once we finalized the feature set, they also provided me with a demo version of the app which further helped us to improvise some of the missing key features. I have basically focussed the Asian region for my project development due to their low development rates and good technical resources. Hence, I preferably targeted India and got the complete solution in a reasonable price without compromising on quality.

My prime concern was the traffic generation to which I expected a good investment of my hard-earned money into advertisements. But that also came to me at a very reasonable price and the major credits goes to the team Ninehertz for their well-planned strategy for traffic generation through various sources in a very low price.

Their digital marketing and SEO services had also helped me to a great extend in creating my user base. Their digital marketing team had designed a very attractive webpage for the SEO and had increased the ranking of that page in just few months, leading to a good number of users on my application.

The web page was comprised of some great deals along with the mobile app link, clicking on which lead the user directly to the mobile application in play store. All these measures had increased my revenue to an unexpected level. All my stakeholders were really impressed with some of these outstanding outcomes in a very reasonable price.

They like the front-end of the application and its user-intuitive interface. We hardly faced any major technical issue post the project development. Though we have some minute issues in the forget-password module which was solved by the team immediately after reporting the issue to the project manager.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I was the only point of contact with the team as I was the one having some fair amount of technical knowledge about the IT background. In the initial stage, a consultant from the pre-sales team had contacted me to gather the requirements. He was a brilliant man having technical knowledge in almost all verticals to which I am aware of. He told me about all the latest technologies which could be used for developing the application along with their pros and cons.

Other than that, he also guided me with the revenue mode of the business and strategies to make an online presence. He was good at gathering requirement and had not missed a single point in the document along with providing additional feature suggestions. The documentation part was also worth appreciating with all the details been covered from the minute feature till the project delivery. One the project got finalised, I was assigned a dedicated Project Manager and was told to contact him for any feedback or issue.

He was a nice guy with a good communication skill and punctual as well. He always updates me on time with the project status and was 24 hours available with my issues been addressed immediately instead of the time zone difference. To view the ongoing status of the developers and other team members, I was provided with the access to the Basecamp where I was able to coordinate with the team members and can view the present status from the design to the testing part, on the daily basis.

The most impressive part was the attentiveness and quality they provided in the initial stage of conceptualization. They made me aware with some great business strategies and latest technologies.

What impressed me the most was their demo version of the application having all the features of the project with static data and complete UI /UX experience where you can Click and use the app navigation. This will actually give you the complete idea about the look and feel of application along with the work flow of the feature. Their dedicated and devoted behavior distinguishes them from all the other vendors in my list.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As per my knowledge, the head office of Ninehertz is based in India with having offices in the USA, UAE, Singapore and other regions of the globe. But the development and design process is carried in India having an only sales department in other countries.

I would recommend them to bring their technical and developer teams to other countries for easy communication and face to face interaction with the team members.

I wanted to go online and got a thought of having my own ecommerce website from where the users will be able to purchase watches. Functionality is very important in an E-commerce website but my main concern was how my website will look, as the products are very lavish and luxurious and also, I have customer stack of very rich class people so I wanted the look and feel of the website to be very elegant, classy and something which exhibit luxury.

As mentioned earlier my selection criteria for a vendor not only includes bug free functionality but I also wanted a vendor who can fulfill my design requirements. I started searching for individual web developers and web development firms online and then I came across an IT firm known as NineHertz which is located in India Itself. I checked their online reputation on different online platforms and found some amazing reviews about them. I checked their portfolio also and found some amazing designs. Though they are having a very good reputation and reviews, still initially I was in doubt and also was a bit worried to hire someone who is not from my country but after talking to their representative I felt relieved, they are very genuine and handled my initial requirements excellently, they also recommended me some nice features which will make my website more user friendly. They were not in any greed or hurry of just getting hired by me, they took their time and discussed each and every small detail with me. I am overwhelmed with the results, I noticed significant growth in my business since the website is live. The functionality is flawless, the website is very user friendly. All this is because of NineHertz. They have created a classy design which represented my products in a very attractive manner. Most importantly the payment functionality and flow are very smooth, the users do not face any problem or issues in payment. NineHertz has provided new heights to my business.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

NineHertz provided a very transparent workflow and clear communication. They had discussed each and every point related to the project and they had all of the info documented. They have their own tool Active Collab which they use for Project Management. Each and every task, MOM, documents, design, test cases, testing results, all the things were very professionally managed. NineHertz kept me involved throughout the whole development process.

They provided me consistent updates and never missed a deadline for delivery. A dedicated Project Coordinator was assigned by NineHertz, he was always available for me and currently my project is in maintenance, even now also I get equal importance from them, it was not at all like my project is over so they ignore me even today they always focus on my concerns on priority. I will give full marks to NineHertz for their project management and communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The most impressive and appreciable thing about NineHertz is their communication and their availability for the client. It’s a weekend or night hours or their working off, you will always get an instant response from their side. During the whole project lifecycle, I do not remember a single instance when they have missed my message or email, I have always got an acknowledgement from their side.

Another great thing about them is their problem-solving skills, they have always provided me a solution to all my problems and concerns. Working with them was very smooth and swift.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Like Project Coordinator and Project Manager, in my views their QA Lead should also get directly in touch with the client.

Since I had the working website already, the project requirements were easy to understand, I wanted an IPad application that replicates the functions of my website, plus I added few more functionalities like Chat, sharing the project design, time table, leaderboard, and reports etc, my major requirement was that the design should be engaging and the app should be easy to use, Nine Hertz understood it well and presented an amazing flow for the iPad application, it was clean, simple and was addressing all of my requirements.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The major thing that I needed in the project was that it should be fun and engaging, the sounds and effects should support the idea of the project, Nine hertz did it well and when I showed the app to existing website users they really liked it.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication and understanding were super smooth, it should surprise you but we never had the voice call to discuss the project, everything was communicated through emails and understanding was smooth, I would give full points to the project coordinator in this, he understood well and executed as I envisioned.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their communication and the quality of their work was great. I felt free when the project co-coordinator was assigned to project, he understood the project well, and executed it with quality.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The areas of improvement are timeline, they took little more time than we expected but overall I am satisfied with the delay because they gave me a quality application.
