Initial proposed developer proved not to be a very good match, but this was handled by Polcode very well and there's a solid collaboration now for over a year.

For what projects/services did your company hire Polcode, and what were your goals?

We have been building a MVP for LinkedIn automation. It is a huge technical challenge, because LinkedIn doesn't provide any public APIs for integration.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Polcode on Upwork and tested it with a few small tasks.

Our back-end was built using PHP (Symfony) and Golang.

We had one full-time senior back-end developer from Polcode.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched our product live as planned.

We had daily stand-ups and project slack. We also did grooming sessions, planning and retrospectives. Polcode was excellent everywhere.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had great communication and excellent technical skills that made this cooperation almost pleasurable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They were a bit inflexible with pricing and didn't provide discounts when going from small Upwork projects to full-time engagement.

We are an international company specializing in partnering with publishers to provide complete, end-to-end composition, content management and development of digital and traditional projects that address today's increasingly sophisticated demands. I lead one of our departments, also serving as product-owner for one of our key industry solutions.

The solutions needs to meet the evolving needs of our customer base while also continuing to keep a high-quality function and service on a day-to-day basis.

The code design needs to be agile and able to shift with industry demands and increasingly efficient workflow needs.

They designed portions of , developed and helped to maintain the system. They also played a very active role in sprint planning, and new enhancement whiteboarding.

What was the team composition?

The project team had 4-6 developers and one lead serving as a scrum master.

The platform is a key component of our business offering and is used by our internal teams on a daily basis.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was impressive, as was the team's buy-in to our technology.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The response if a need or complaint was sent to their team was excellent. Also, each dev we worked with seems to have an impressive amount of knowledge and understanding of our overall system.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little room for improvement. My only wish is that there were more resources available to work in US hours to cut down on communication lag time.
