Competition is tough in our business industry, so the main goal of our cooperation with PopArt Studio was increasing our digital presence, and improving SEO optimization of our website. All of that would, ultimately, increase traffic and conversions on our website.

Our company owns two websites i.e. online stores - 3G Store and Cover Studio. We hired PopArt Studio for the services of website optimization for the two, one being on a WordPress platform, and the other is a custom online shop.

The first phase of SEO optimization was the technical set up of the website’s performance so that it would be in concordance with Google’s rules. The second part optimizing content pages, which we have more than 20,000, and a substantial backlinking campaign.

What was the team composition?

Initially, we worked with their Project Manager, with whom we created a crystal clear idea of what we want and a plan of how to achieve that. Later on, we communicated more with their SEO specialists, who were in charge of our web site’s optimization.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since we began working with PopArt Studio our rank in Google results went up for our most important keywords. Also, our website receives far more visits than before SEO optimization, and our conversions spiraled.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicated with the PopArt team successfully and effortlessly, both during our office meetings, as well as Skype groups and calls. The project manager, and the SEO team, with whom we communicated, were open to all our questions and guided us through every step of the job. Besides, we received timely updates and detailed reports, and we were very satisfied with PopArt’s transparency.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

It was easy for us to gain trust in their team as they are true professionals and knowledgeable in their field. They are very committed, responsible, and respectful.

Homefans is a football travel startup that provides unique football experiences at hand-picked destinations worldwide. Our slogan says "It's not a match, it's an experience" because we believe that a football match goes way beyond the 90 minutes. I'm in charge of Supply Chain and Partnerships.

Our old website was nice and smooth (paid WordPress theme) but it became to basic at one point and our needs started exceeding its capacity and functionalities. We contacted PopArt and asked them to develop a new website for us, which would contain better design, improved UX, more functionalities, versatility, and product customisation. In the end we were delighted with the results.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed a solution that would bring us cleaner and modern design, improved UX, product customisation and versatility. We also needed to add some new sections and pages. Apart from that, one of our goals was to improve the checkout and online payment process. Last but not the least, we a more prominent SEO.

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended to us by some friends and people with expertise in the market. I also did my own research to double check everything.

They first designed a brand new theme from scratch for our new website. Then they coded all requested functionalities and features. After that they integrated a number of plugins that we needed / were using already (and also suggested some). In the end they fixed several feedbacks and set up the SEO.

What was the team composition?

From the very beginning there was a Project Leader from their side (Tomislav) who was in constant touch with us. Alongside him, they had a web designer plus one developer who both worked on our website simultaneously. The web developer left at one point and was changed by another one. In the end they used a special SEO team to polish the SEO part.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

With the new website developed by PopArt, we now have a much more sophisticated design, more versatility and functions such as Customise Your Trip option, which allowed us to develop our business to an online football experience marketplace, a business model which we wanted to add for a while.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The project started very well, the design part was done pretty quickly, and we communicated well the whole time both via email and Skype calls. Later on, more people from both sides got involved so we created a Skype chat group which worked fine. We hoped the Website would be ready by July /August, but in the end many things, details, feedbacks, and fixes popped out, so they needed more time. English was the official language, people from 3 different countries and cultures were involved on both ends combined, but we never felt that was an issue.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

First of all, very positive attitude and great communication. They have a team of talented and skillful people.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We were very satisfied with the cooperation and the final outcome. If I had to give a piece of advice, that would be - try to avoid changing developers / project team members during the project (as long as it in your power). That can sometimes slow down or affect the flow of the project.

we had more misunderstandings because our business process was not well organized or, to say the least, precisely regulated. Electronic databases require order, which is why we first had to make certain adjustments to our business process and then move that process into the IT world. after that everything went smoothly

I appreciated their desire to get to know the smallest details of our business process and to translate that into the IT world.

business processes in our company are constantly changing, which requires constant adjustment. end users have the opportunity to suggest improvements to the program itself, which I believe will be kept in mind when further upgrading our database

I was looking for a digital agency that could deliver a range of services for my multiple businesses and projects. For Zoetica Center, we focused on rebranding and social media efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They implemented new and refreshing graphic designs for the WordPress website. In addition to design, they also provided site copy and social media management. They made sure that the company’s digital presence was professional and forward-looking.

Zoetica Center is an organically-focused platform that strives to allow users to assess their holistic health.

They’re currently working on expanding Zoetica’s website to include e-commerce capabilities. They’re helping me link it to my social media channels, as well. While my own team supported them as necessary, they handled most of the work themselves. They provide strategic suggestions and recommendations that our own team hadn’t considered before.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

While I can’t really produce any quantitative feedback, they’ve been a pleasure to work with. They’re excellent at providing marketing materials that demonstrate the credibility of my business. They position my company to seem reliable and appealing. Their creativity and technical potential are both quite impressive.

How did PopArt Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re highly professional, and I was quick to know that I could count on them. We used phone, email, and Skype to communicate, but we meet in person every now and then because I travel to Europe quite often. We really appreciate that sort of reliability, especially in this industry.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re not so small that they can’t cover the needs of medium to larger businesses. Having said that, they still retain all of the intimacy in their conduct and communication. We really felt that they regarded us with care. They were so kind and close to us that they became an extension of our own team; they were no longer just a vendor but a true partner.

When I worked with PopArt Studio, I was a product manager for advertising and Google Ads at Localist. It was an advertising directory and local reviews site. It’s a mix between YellowPages and Yelp.

We were in the process of restructuring the company. Thus, we needed to find an outsourced team to redesign our advertising platform system that serves as an online directory for advertisers. There was already a system set up, but it was not functional. We wanted a platform where advertisers and our staff could automatically upload conversion pages.

What was the scope of their involvement?

PopArt Studio worked as a remote team. They redesigned the advertising platform with JavaScript. The end goal was to create a user-friendly platform that also allowed our staff to publish content. We provided specifications and sketches for what we wanted to achieve, but they developed the mockups and wireframes for the process. Throughout the process, we were able to change designs whenever we needed to. There were many iterations of the project.  

What is the team composition?

They had a project manager and a team of developers. I was responsible for managing deliverables and tracking the timelines. We also had a technical director working with them on a day-to-day basis.

How did you come to work with PopArt Studio?

We did research on the Internet. We had a few local companies up for consideration. Everything is expensive in New Zealand, so PopArt Studio’s pricing was quite competitive compared to the local options. After analyzing the pros and cons of remote work, we had a face-to-face meeting and that sealed the deal. We just wanted to make sure that there wouldn’t be any time zone or communication issues. Their previous clients were satisfied and we liked their work portfolio, so we went for it.

We invested between $250,000–$300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in December 2011 and lasted through 2012.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our organization was happy with the finished product. They delivered the work on-time and on budget. It was very user-friendly and simple to use, which was the main requirement due to the resource-heavy nature of the project. Our staff and users needed to be able to input information easily, so it was successful in that respect.

How did PopArt Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Even though it was remote work, the process was flawless. They were always responsive. Even with the 12-hour time difference, they had people on-call after hours that were available. We used Asana to manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very straightforward and to-the-point. Rather than just going around in circles, they were able to deliver the project without any issues. Their team was also responsive and available, which we stipulated in our service level agreements.

None that I can think of at the moment.

I’m the manager of FitnessBodyStar, a company that sells online fitness programs, meal plans, and fitness accessories. We sell e-books and multi-media content to our clients and we use a lot of backup from social media for most of the marketing and client acquisition.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provided documentation and went to them with our idea: An online platform for PDFs, e-books, and presentations we offer. We forged a partnership and shared ideas in developing the design of our logo, branding, colors, and website. Everything was up to them to make it work and make it look good. They used WordPress for the website and WooCommerce for the webshop.

We have a platform for online assessments of your current physical form, and they helped divide that into different pages and modules and organize it. They were also involved in the designing of our e-books and video material. They’re our full partner on the development of the entire project.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our website has improved each month. Over the past year, we have seen a 600% increase in traffic and a similar increase in sales. Due to the seasonality of our products, lack of long-term data, and an absence of ongoing marketing, it's difficult to pinpoint specific metrics.

As always, there were teething issues at the start. After working for six months with PopArt Studio, however, communication is easy. They set expectations and execute work efficiently. We had a slight language barrier with our initial project manager, but as soon as our current point of contact took over, everything started to go swimmingly. He receives our brief, analyzes it, asks questions, and briefs his developers.
