Following a prolonged traditional search for a software development services vendor, a colleague of mine in the tech industry recommended that I work with Protonshub Technologies based on her positive work experiences with the firm.

Describe the project in detail.

Project Alpha encompasses our initial product design, development, and launch efforts for the Beta version of our cross-platform mobile applications. Project Alpha blends utility elements of a schedule planner application with highly unique graphical user interfaces.

We began development of the Android and iOS applications' back-end functionality using JavaScript and React Native, leading us to continue with JavaScript and React Native for our front-end development needs.

When we began work with Protonshub, we had already composed our user stories and wireframes, which served as the primary project management and assessment tool during the Beta development phase.

What was the team composition?

During the course of the development effort, I was in direct contact with the team leader, Tushar, and the front-end developers.

When the initially selected developer was unable to meet the stated project goals, Tushar swiftly replaced him with a more senior developer who was able to contribute high quality front-end code.

We continued to work with the second developer for the duration of the Beta development, and we plan to continue work with him on our MVP development.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Without disclosing proprietary project information, we knew that high fidelity execution of our project's GUIs required exceptional problem solving abilities and the tenacity to approach an unprecedented front-end development challenge.

We were surprised when our assigned developer was able to accomplish this highly difficult task in under two weeks. After that point, the remainder of the less challenging Beta development work was executed with equal alacrity and professionalism.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was extremely responsive and proactive about communications from the initial screening interview all the way through and after the completion of the Beta development goals.

Both the project manager and the assigned front-end developer consistently demonstrated flexibility with scheduling weekly progress checks and made themselves available for additional teleconferences as needed.

Due to our detailed user stories and focused sprint planning calls, we maintained a high level of output throughout the course of the project. Identified issues from previous sprints were quickly identified and addressed in the following sprint.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was most impressed by the operational flexibility of Protonshub Technologies.

Though we began the project needing only a front-end developer, it became clear that Protonshub could have scaled their developer time and quantity commitments to better serve our project if the need had arisen.

Both the project manager and developer made extraordinary efforts to accommodate our schedules across time differences, at times meeting early in the morning and late at night.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Protonshub Technologies executed on the given project parameters quite well.

While our beta development phase was focused on efficient development towards a "proof of concept" Beta application, we plan to work with them in our next development phase which will be more oriented towards polished execution and UI/UX emphasis.

With this said, any performance deficiencies apparent at the beginning of the project were promptly corrected, leaving no clear areas for improvement by the time of completion.
