For what projects/services did your company hire Revamp Consulting, and what were your goals?

we were seeking the development of a fintech produc and were searching for individual developers and / or reputable software house to build the product. It was really hard to find available yet talented freelancers who can be assigned this project. On the other hand, most reached our software houses either lack the fintech expertise or address us as a corporate with a full team of project managers, leads, and developers with unrealistic quotations and were mainly focused on the financials and rather than the scope.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were impressed with the collaboration of revamp even before sending the scope and requesting a quotation. Since our introduction, revamp members acted as if they are part of our own team giving advises on building the product (even if it meant reducing the scope). The agility of understanding that we are building an MVP and having multiple iterations with a reasonable quotation and fast drafts (whether from wire-frames to the mvp) make us feel we already have an in-house development team that understand the startup nature.

We requested to have an app for kids money management based on digital wallets. The deliverables were building the backend and an android-based app.

there was the CEO acting as the PM, product design consultant and one backend and another frontend developer. In addition to a UX/UI consultant.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The collaboration in the iterations of the product design resulted in a wire-frame that exceeds the expectation and the iterations were minimal (based on a collaborated feedback on the user experience). The actual development of the MVP was to the expectations with no surprises. The invaluable support and satisfactory level of the deliverable of this MVP made it an easy decision to sign a new deal with revamp for a more complex enterprise product.

Active, blunt, & responsive. Questions and ideas shared during milestones for further uplifting the product or simplifying the user experience.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The understanding of the startup environment and the agility to build something new to the market were impressive. We learnt thru the journey more than the code being written. We didn't hire a company, we won a partner that was sharing relevant experience in aspects in and out of scope.

May be more documentation for the development would be great.
