Shotblast media provided us with training on techniques for shooting and editing of video for social media. The course was split over 2 separate days, video shooting on the first day and video editing on the second day using material we shot in between.

I have been able to produce some great social media content following on from the course

Our previous induction process was dated and long winded. We wanted a shorter punchier, video package which clearly communicated our commitment to safety. We also wanted this to have a less corporate feel while still linked to company branding.

When speaking to Shot Blast Media it immediately felt that they understood what we were expecting.

We started with pre-production meetings where they got an understanding of what we needed. A script was soon formed which went through several drafts to make sure it had the feel and tone desired. Shot Blast then proposed a series of styles based on company information and photographs from our sites, also giving us useful tips for what works well.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

Throughout the process I worked with Lotty the company director. She was constructive in her suggestions and had a good understanding of the industry we were in and how to tailor the product to it. Along the way she supported and guided us to an excellent final video.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The feedback from our board, operational sites and contractors has been overwhelmingly positive. The video is slick and friendly perfectly capturing the safety culture across our business. Originally planned for the UK only, the video has been so well received that we are now looking to develop versions in other languages.

Excellent communication throughout. Clear instructions on what was needed at each stage with all deadlines met.

The ability to exactly understand what a client needs. This can only be achieved by a willingness to understand the company they work with alongside a wide range of knowledge and experience in media.

None. They did a superb job during the entire process.

A lot of our work is showcased on social media and in the past we have just used the standard photos or phone videos. After some time we realised our posts were getting a bit dry and boring and decided we needed to liven things up and keep up with the current times.

We want our customers to see the level of work we put into installing a perfect lawn as well as customers to see how professional we are as a company.

We haven't launched our video as yet. No doubt we will launch it around March 2021 due to us been a seasonal business supply and installing artificial grass. We want to get maximum results from the video so to post it out in winter months would be a waste of time

I wasn't on site with Lotty and our team at the time of filming but from the feedback I received from Lotty and our team everything went very well.
