Snowy Peak did video production for us. We started by giving them some ideas of who we are as a company, filled out a questionnaire they gave us, and told them who we wanted to target with this video. Consequently, we had back-and-forth feedback and chose people to interview. After that, they scheduled visits to our different locations to film and get interviews from our team to tell what we do and who we are not only as a company but also as people — they took a lot of notes and had really good questions for that process.

Currently, we’re still working on the script and other areas of the video.

Project management has been perfect in terms of communication, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget.

They’re great at attending to our requests for changes, which they do very fast — if we give them feedback in the morning, they apply it within the same day.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

I recommend people working with them; their team knows what they’re doing and has the equipment and knowledge to make everything happen.

I’m a quality systems and technical training manager at a large-scale food manufacturing company. My role involves envisioning new quality systems and developing the backend programs required for quality management.

We have about 46 different food manufacturing facilities. One of our goals was to standardize how we deliver messages to new employees or visitors coming to the facility regarding quality and safety aspects. We hired Snowy Peak to develop a video describing all safety and quality requirements.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We engaged Snowy Peak in about a year’s worth of script development and preproduction work, including set lists. We provided context, pictures showing how to enter our facilities, and some aspects we currently use paper for. Additionally, we gave them several copies of our new visitor onboarding paperwork, which is about 3–4 pages’ worth of written material. We worked together to create the script.

We found them online. I reached out to approximately 10–15 video production companies to assess their abilities to provide what we were looking for. We determined that Snowy Peak was the solution we wanted to move forward with.

We worked with them from around May 2021–July 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our company had some organizational changes that caused us to reevaluate the need for a video, so we scrapped the project. However, we have nothing but good things to say about Snowy Peak; had they completed the project, it would have been incredibly impactful. 

How did Snowy Peak perform from a project management standpoint?

They delivered on time and within the budget. The team was always quick to respond and to provide new ideas if we ever hit a roadblock. Because we’re a large facility, we move slowly, so it takes time for higher-up teammates to make decisions and secure funding, and they were patient with that. 

We communicated via email, phone calls, and Zoom. Overall, they were a great team to work with. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

As part of the program I put together to vet service providers, we had 20–30 things we were looking for, including tenure and if they had food manufacturing experience. I liked the videos Snowy Peak had on their website; their work spoke well to what I was looking to complete.

I can’t think of something they could have done better; they did everything we asked.

They have a traditional approach to project management, as they consistently meet their deadlines and sit down with us to actually discuss our projects — they provide us with the opportunity to have direct contact with their team and feel listened to.

We’re impressed with their sense of urgency and consistent responsiveness throughout the partnership. They also exceed the timelines and deliver outputs way before the actual deadline.

I don't have any KPIs to share with you because we just completed the project, so we're just now using them. You would have to circle back probably in like six months for me to be able to give some KPIs.

We’re currently using the videos they made on our websites and presentations to clients. The videos really captured what our company does, allowing us to better explain our services to people and enable our prospects to really envision what that could look like for them.

We typically communicated through email, Microsoft Teams, and monday.com.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We really appreciated how extremely patient they were in this project. They continued to work with us on that project until it was acceptable to all stakeholders, which I think is not something you can count on with other businesses these days. Also, we felt that we were a pretty difficult client to deal with because they had to accommodate several edit requests from us.

The tv advertising production process is complex. They helped us develop storyboarding and scripts for 3 different commercials. Helping us trim down the time to appropriate lengths. Then they helped us find actors and actresses to play the parts. They found the perfect locations for the different shots we needed.

Their equipment was top of the line and made flawless shots. Their crew was so friendly and helpful. They helped put the actors at ease. Then came the video editing process and video production. And we were so pleased with the outcome. The commercials are excellent.

The response to the video was overwhelmingly positive. It was very clear and precise about what our company does and how we can help. They are so professional-looking. We couldn't be happier.

Troy and his group were easy to communicate with and provided regular updates. They were very effective communicators. Since we were new to this whole process, they took the time to explain and walk us through everything. We mostly worked via phone and email. Then they brought us to the different locations we would be shooting at a few days beforehand.

We were able to walk out the scenes and decide what extra materials were needed. Then we had an entire day of shooting at the different locations. The coaching and directing was so spot on. And the end product was simply amazing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were well educated about our services. They really understand how to convey different ideas that grab attention cinematically. The quality was outstanding.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I wish we could have met them sooner and I hope to work with them again. It was such an exceptional experience.

The positive feedback and client response are great. Recently, we had a client that wanted three small videos, and after the project was over called for three more that will continue into 2022.

The project management is professional and efficient. Snowy Peak producers have the client's best interest and budget in mind when producing. They never let budget or time get in the way of quality of work.

They are flexible and easy to work with. They will try to push each concept to be visually exceptional.

I don't have any areas of improvement for this team. I would recommend Snowy Peak for any video production project.

I'm the marketing director for a culinary school. We offer culinary, pastry arts, hospitality, plant-based, holistic nutrition and wellness programs. Available through residential and online format.

Our in-house video team was unable to travel and needed a local videographer to capture our graduation ceremony. Our goal was to create a highlight video and create excitement for future graduates.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My colleague recommended them. They were avaiable for the project, fit my budget and very helpful navigating a last minute shoot.

Troy laid out what could be expected from day of shoot to editing process. I was looking for a 90 min video and in the end went with about 2 minutes. The turn around time was quick! I spoke with the editor on the phone as well as left comments directly on the video. He knew exactly my vision and after only three editing rounds the final video was delivered

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Troy and Gabe. They both were experts, available and helpful. Troy provided great customer service and Gabe was very talented with his video and editing skills. I appreciated how easy it was to make a video while in another state. I would for sure use them again!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We showed the video to the whole company by sharing on our slack channel. The video will be used in email campaigns, posted on social media, placed on our website, used in ads and promotion for future graduations.

I was stressed finding a last minute videographer to fill the role for our graduation ceremony but as soon as I spoke with Troy I felt confident they were the right ones to get the job done. They explained all the details upfront and helped me navigate areas of the project I didn't have the knowledge for. They were responsive over email but also just picked up the phone to work out details and final edits. The tool they used for video edits was great and easy! Gabe followed up after the shoot and explain how it went since I was unable to be there in person. (Which I appreciated!) The turnaround time was a few days and was able to present the video to our company and graduates in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their professionalism. I felt the job was in good hands. During the editing process I were looking for peices of content that may be able to enhance the piece a bit more and Gabe knew exactly when footage and quotes he could pull for that. Even without much time to brainstorm its outcome, they still captured and edited the piece just how we pictured it.

no, everything was great!

I needed to create a short, animated video that promote one of our new applications for magnet design in R& D. We needed a video that explains the product and its advantages to a knowledgeable audience.

We wanted to work with a local vendor who had a portfolio of projects that supported our values.

We had several discovery meetings with the Snowy Peak folks, to discuss options and goals for the project. I wrote a script and they facilitated casting a voice actor. Then we set up a vision board and developed characters for the animation. After setting the characters in motion with the voiceover, we matched the music and audio effects to create the finished product.

I worked mostly with Troy and Joe. We communicated through messages and advancements on the Monday.com project management platform.

We just finished this project and have not yet had time to deploy the result in our marketing campaigns.

After nearly 20 years of producing commercial advertising that all looked the same we wanted to try something new and reach our audience in a fresh new way. After interviewing several Video Production across the nation we realized the best option for us was right in our own backyard with SnowyPeak!

We interviewed several teams to see our personalities, creative processes, and visions lined up. We watched a handful of different examples to see what each group was capable of and if it fit our vision. SnowyPeak just checked all the boxes...we knew we could work with them and feel comfortable letting them lead the way but also sharing our ideas and visions with them, too!

We started with a call just to discuss the goals of the upcoming shoot -- What were our immediate and definitive needs first and then what were the secondary goals. From there we brainstormed today on scripts, locations, wardrobe, etc...and it all just came together one step at a time!

Our team consisted of several talented individuals but our two main points of contact were Troy and Joe. They are both creative problem solvers which is what we were looking for -- We bring them the ideas and they figure out how to bring it to life. It's great having a team you don't have to be afraid of when you want to tweak something or try a different angle!

Our new spots are currently airing and we've gotten overall great feedback. The difference in quality from our last spots is mind blowing. As we add more new commercials in to the mix I'm sure we'll get a better idea on if people dig it or not but so far, so good!

I would say the SnowyPeak team is very hands on and overall extremely organized. They are great at taking ideas and making them a reality! They map everything out for you in a Google Doc and it makes thing run so smoothly -- Scripts are also super easy to edit again because you can leave comments and edit for everyone to see on a Google Doc! Utilizing those docs helps keep things moving and cuts down on the need for extra meetings/calls.

The way they can take an idea and bring it to life -- Both are shoots have had pretty creative story lines and they were able to make it work and look better than we even imaginged!

I think each shoot we will get better and better as a team!

I’m the CEO of a startup medical device company.

We have devices that we have to do electronic instructions for use as well as for investors and other individuals who need to understand our technology. We work with Snowy Peak to take our devices and animate them in such a way that people understand their use cases and also instructions on how to use the devices properly. We brought on Snowy Peak for their video production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We began with a couple of smaller animation and video projects. Generally, a project starts off with a phone call then we’re able to communicate through email. When Snowy Peak has the early low-res renders of the images, we’ll walk through those and clean them up. They ultimately put them into high-resolution form. We sign off, and then we’re done.

For most projects, we provided guidance but they worked closely with us to make sure we got it right. Where there were technical challenges, they were very impactful in helping us think through how we wanted to represent that. While we provided most of the guidance, they brought their technical expertise. During the course of our engagement, we’ve done 7–8 animation projects with them. We’ve used the videos for our social media, on our website, and in direct communication in our presentations.

We actively interact with 3–4 of their team members.

How did you come to work with Snowy Peak?

They were recommended to us. When I came into the company, the founder at the time had done a project with them. I did reach out to a couple of other companies early on when I wanted to make sure we were in the right ballpark when it came to pricing. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were very competitive. We’ve continued to use them as we’ve had additional projects.

Our ongoing engagement started around January 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When we run the videos on social media, we get lots of hits and positive feedback from investors and other people we interact with. They express that the videos are well done and it’s easy to understand the workflow of the devices with the animations. We get validation of the value on a daily basis.

We like Snowy Peak’s work and think it’s cost-effective. They’re easy to work with. They are intent on us getting what we wanted. Their team wasn’t afraid to iterate numerous versions to get to where we were satisfied and happy. We evolved into doing more and more projects with them. As we introduce new devices, we’ve really gone to using them exclusively. We don’t go out to bid with other companies because we’ve gotten very comfortable with them and their capabilities.

How did Snowy Peak perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very open and communicative. Snowy Peak consistently hits their timelines. If we have an urgent, time-sensitive request, they’ve rendered over weekends and stepped beyond normal working hours to get a project done. We’ve found them to be extremely responsive and timely.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve gotten to a place where we have a high degree of trust and confidence in them. We feel like they listen and deliver a product that technically is outstanding at a very competitive price. Our team has had no reason to look elsewhere at this time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. The longer we’ve worked together, the more we’ve been able to improve our communication. In the beginning, it took longer for the project to mature; there were more iterations. As we’ve worked with them, they’ve become more familiar with us and us with them.

We’ve been able to reduce the cycle time from the time we initiate the project until we get it done. Once we understand what they need at the onset, we’re doing a better job of getting them what they need earlier. Likewise, they’re doing a better job of getting us something back sooner. It’s been a learning process that’s come through time.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as detailed as possible when describing what it is you want. Don’t be afraid to ask them, based on your experience, if your approach is the right one. Snowy Peak has a lot of expertise, and they give good advice from their past projects and experience. Also, be specific and detailed about what you’re looking into. The more information you provide upfront, the better job they’ll do.
