What was the scope of their involvement?

StepForth Web Marketing Inc. provides SEO and website design services for us. I live in Quebec, a bilingual province, and our website is required by law to be available in both English and French. The team has provided photographs, letters of reference, and all other necessary materials to create a bilingual website. They’ve also been working on keeping our website’s ratings up so it can be noticed.

We’ve been working with Scott. He’s in charge of our file and always helps us when we have problems or issues.

We found StepForth Web Marketing Inc. through a referral from a fellow merchant in Montreal. At that time, that merchant was in the computer business. He said he used StepForth Web Marketing Inc. and suggested them to me. I was happy to use them since they were a Canadian company.

Our investment has been approximately $50,000 CAD.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement started in September 2006, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The team has done a beautiful job putting everything together in both official languages. Scott provides us with charts and graphs every month when he makes the report. We can see if people are looking at the website or not. As a small business with fewer than 10 employees, we understand the times — getting noticed has become harder as the Internet becomes increasingly larger. Nevertheless, StepForth Web Marketing Inc. has always worked hard for us.

How did StepForth Web Marketing Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

StepForth Web Marketing Inc. has always met the deadlines and stayed on budget. Scott makes a report every month, and it’s a very good report. Even though I’m not a computer expert, it’s a report I can understand and read. We communicate with StepForth Web Marketing Inc. via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

StepForth Web Marketing Inc. offers a highly personalized service. They’re thorough and do their best for clients, regardless of the business's size. They really work hard for their clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they need to improve. StepForth Web Marketing Inc. is always responsive and responds quickly if we have a question. It’s hard when you don’t know the world of computers, but from a layperson’s point of view, they’re really great.

Initially, they did a site audit and helped fix outstanding issues. The team also reviewed our tags, titles, content. StepForth Web Marketing Inc. tracks a list of our top keywords and works to keep us performing well. The team also makes content suggestions and worked on press releases on our website to create content and build authority.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This year, we saw a steady increase in total top 10 listings for our website, with 378 total top three listings and 791 listings in the top 4–10 positions on Google as of June 2025. Our organic search also saw an increase of over 4,000 sessions in the same month. Overall, we’ve seen steady increases in our web traffic since we began our SEO program with StepForth Web Marketing Inc. We’ve increased our profit and attained our business goal this 2025 season of a 5% increase in sales this past year.
