The dev team helped me get OpenClaw up and running on my Mac Mini from scratch. I'm not a technical person, so they walked me through everything step by step and handled the complicated parts themselves by connecting remotely to my computer when needed.
They got the AI assistant installed and working, set it up to use the right AI models so it runs well without costing too much, and made sure it was connected to my Anthropic account properly. When I ran into issues like error messages or rate limits during testing, they explained what was happening and helped me sort it out.
They also connected OpenClaw to the other tools I use — they set up a Telegram bot so I can chat with the assistant from my phone, got Slack working for communication, and made sure my Gmail was linked in. Along the way they helped me create the accounts and API keys I needed, and explained things in plain language so I could follow along or pass instructions to other people if needed.
Overall, they took something I wouldn't have been able to set up on my own and made it work, while being patient and clear throughout the process.

OpenClaw successfully installed and running on the Mac Mini, moving from nothing to a fully operational AI assistant.
Correct AI models configured — Claude Sonnet 4.6 set as the default and Claude Haiku as the heartbeat model, balancing performance with cost efficiency.
Anthropic API fully connected with a dedicated API key ("Mac Mini") and account credits in place, unblocking testing and day-to-day use.
Telegram bot (pitwallsales_bot) live and integrated, allowing remote interaction with the assistant from a phone.
Gmail account set up and linked, ready for assistant-related workflows.
Initial testing phase completed successfully, with early issues like API rate limits resolved and the system stable enough for regular use.
Clear handover path established — the setup is documented and structured so remote access can be removed at the end of the development phase, leaving a self-managed system.
Non-technical usability achieved — I'm able to operate and interact with the system on my own without needing developer help for day-to-day use.

Honestly, these guys were great to work with. The team was super responsive on Slack... anytime I had a question or got stuck on something, they were right there to help me out. No waiting around, no confusion.

They really knew their stuff and just got things done. They'd break everything down into simple steps I could actually follow, and when something needed a deeper fix, they'd just hop on remotely and sort it out themselves.

They were patient, friendly, and clearly cared about getting things right. Whether it was troubleshooting errors, setting up accounts, or making sure the right settings were in place, they handled it all without any drama. Deadlines were met, promises were kept, and the whole thing went way smoother than I expected.

What really stood out to me was how patient and down-to-earth they were with a non-technical client like me. A lot of dev teams can make you feel lost in jargon, but these guys took the time to explain things in plain language and meet me where I was at. They never rushed me or made me feel like I was slowing them down.

I was also impressed by how hands-on they were. Instead of just sending me a list of things to do and leaving me to figure it out, they'd jump on remotely and handle the tricky stuff themselves, then walk me through what they did. That combination of doing the work and helping me understand it was really valuable.

And honestly, they just felt like a team that genuinely cared about getting it right for me, not just ticking boxes. That's not something you find everywhere.

Honestly, not much to complain about. If I had to nitpick, maybe just a bit more upfront explanation of what to expect during the setup phase...things like the API rate limit messages during testing threw me off at first, and knowing in advance that those were normal would've saved me a little worry.

Other than that, everything went smoothly. Nothing major I'd ask them to change.

For the legacy system, the learning curve required to master this system and the need to work with a separate (non-Valetta) development group caused some delay.
