We provided the contractor with two typical floor plans for two multi-family buildings and asked them to turn these into virtual tours. It was important to us that these be true virtual tours, not just jumping between fixed points in 360° photo panoramas. Movement inside the tours needed to be smooth and lifelike, similar to what you’d expect in a modern video game.

The only materials we supplied were the PDF floor plans and a location on the map where the development will be built. It was also critical that the virtual tours work on any device, be easy to embed on our website, and not require any additional hardware or software to view.

The VRNET.IO team completed the work in just two weeks. In a very short timeframe, we received 43 individual virtual tours, one for each apartment in the community.

We provided typical floor plans, and based on them it was necessary to create virtual tours for all apartments. We also provided the master plan of the residential complex and a 3D model of this complex. The model had to be converted into a virtual tour that would load quickly on the website and on any devices, even with mobile internet. As a result, we received links to virtual tours that we could easily and quickly embed on our website.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The virtual tours significantly improved the way we present apartments to potential buyers. Instead of scheduling individual property visits, clients can now explore any floor plan remotely at any time and from any device. This has made our sales process more efficient and increased buyer engagement. The tours also gave us a competitive advantage in the market, as not many developers in our region offer this level of interactive presentation.

After implementing the virtual tours, we noticed several positive changes. The time buyers needed to make a purchase decision decreased by approximately 2 times. Website session duration increased by more than 2.5 times, as potential buyers spent significantly more time exploring the apartments online. Additionally, the virtual tours created a strong “wow effect” during in-person presentations at our sales office, which noticeably improved the overall impression of our residential complex among visitors.

Moreover, we observed a noticeable increase in conversion from virtual tour views on our website to phone calls to our sales office. However, we prefer to keep the exact figures confidential. If we had to mention something, a more detailed onboarding at the very beginning — with a step-by-step explanation of the entire process — could have been helpful for a first-time client. However, this was a minor point, and it didn't affect the final result in any way.
