Webkul helped us optimize and stabilize our OpenCart-based e-commerce store, especially in relation to Google Merchant Center compliance, product feed optimization, tracking implementation, and payment integration support. The project included: fixing and optimizing Google Merchant Center product feeds, resolving duplicate and adult-content-related feed issues, implementing category-level feed validation and control, improving product data structure and feed generation, helping prevent repeated GMC suspensions, supporting GA4 and Google Ads tracking implementation, assisting with payment gateway migration and technical diagnostics, improving overall store trust signals and compliance. One of the most valuable deliverables was a custom “Feed Category Validation” functionality that allowed us to control which categories are included in the feed generation. This helped us quickly isolate problematic categories and stabilize the GMC account. Webkul also worked carefully within the available development hours and communicated clearly throughout the process.

One of the most impressive aspects of Webkul is their commitment to problem-solving and customer satisfaction. Despite the complex compatibility issues with ElasticSuite, instead of simply suggesting workarounds or paid support, they took responsibility and worked towards a real solution.

Additionally, their technical expertise in Magento 2 was evident in how they approached the ElasticSearch integration. Many vendors might avoid handling such dependencies, but Webkul went the extra mile to ensure that their module worked within our ecosystem.

Another unique aspect was their willingness to collaborate with our developers, which is not always the case with third-party vendors. Their open and solution-oriented approach made the entire experience much smoother and more efficient.

Lastly, their customer support team was highly responsive and kept us informed throughout the process, showing a strong commitment to ensuring our satisfaction.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Webkul could have done differently?

While our experience with Webkul was overall positive, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance their service even further:

1. Faster Initial Diagnosis & Resolution – The initial response suggested hourly paid support, which was not ideal for a fundamental compatibility issue. It would be beneficial if core conflicts like these were addressed proactively without immediately directing customers to paid support.
2. Better Pre-Sales Compatibility Checks – It would have been helpful if Webkul had clearly mentioned compatibility with ElasticSuite upfront. Knowing this in advance would have saved time and prevented unexpected troubleshooting. A detailed compatibility guide for major third-party modules would be a great improvement.
3. More Comprehensive Documentation – While Webkul’s team was helpful in resolving the issues, detailed technical documentation on how the module interacts with Magento’s search framework would have been beneficial for developers looking to integrate the module efficiently.

That being said, Webkul's willingness to collaborate and resolve these issues ultimately led to a positive outcome. Addressing these areas could further enhance their service and prevent similar challenges for future customers.
