I am the webmaster of an online retailer of aircraft parts with 2 locations in Oregon and Florida.

During a period when our company was in transition Scott at Farmhouse stepped in to help us modernize our systems and setup a solution to properly backup and monitor our network.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were searching for a 3rd party with a more hands on approach and local availability that provided us with the resources and knowledge we needed.

Farmhouse has put in place onsite/cloud backup systems and network monitoring for our existing server and workstation setup. He has updated and upgraded our network access as time has passed with newer switch, router, VPN and remote connection software and hardware as technology has improved. Farmhouse continues to maintain and monitor our network now.

We have worked with Scott directly since 2016. He has had other employees, but he has always been our main point of contact.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In upgrading our network and data backups Scott has managed to lower the cost to us on a long term basis and make everything easier to access as well as more secure.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Scott is always available when we need him either via phone or email and has pitched in on multiple projects outside of the scope of work to help us complete them.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Farmhouse networking always has the help we need and seems to look out for our company like it was their business. Scott is never pushy and is always available to answer questions so we feel confident in our decisions.

None that come to mind.

Farmhouse Networking has been helping us with IT services, including changing and relocating our servers and getting us connected to our network in our new building. They were responsible for installing our hardware as well.

Currently, we’re planning to expand the scope of our partnership.

They handled all the networking of the new building we moved into, so we chose them because they were familiar with the location.

We started working together in August 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They disconnected our servers from the old office and reconnected everything on the new site in less than 24 hours. They had everything fully functioning with internet and network connectivity.

How did Farmhouse Networking perform from a project management standpoint?

They stay on budget, give excellent response times, and are swift with their work. Regarding communication, we use phone calls and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service has been outstanding. Working with them on this project is perfect because they are already familiar with our location.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

I recommend having clear communication with them about what you’re looking for.

Farmhouse Networking provides IT on- and off-site services; we rely on them periodically for guidance regarding what to purchase in terms of hardware and software. They also secured cameras for our computer units during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They also take care of our online platforms like social media channels, QuickBooks, and Intuit.

We’ve been working with eight members of their team.

They’ve been thorough and courteous. They enable us to access the technology support we need to protect our services and keep our work consistent. Overall, Farmhouse Networking provides reliable and trustworthy work, and my team can reach out to them whenever we have a situation with our system.

I’m the owner of a company that provides services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

I hired Farmhouse for their IT services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Farmhouse takes care of all my IT and administrative needs. We have around 30 administrators who take care of all our laptops, computers, printers, and everything related to IT. Moreover, they install and purchase software that I need for the business. 

Scott (Senior Network Architect) works on our phones and guides me on which computers are the best to buy. Typically, Scott helps me find the best options, and then I buy them. Since we have multiple offices, Scott sets up access points and Wifi for our locations. He also installs the office equipment; we rent our printers from another company, but Scott handles the setup and everything else. 

What is the team composition?

I typically only work with Scott, though a couple of others will jump in and help us from time to time.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $100,000.

We started working together in July 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Scott and Farmhouse have been great. We don’t have any downtime because he makes sure we’re up and running all the time. Moreover, everybody in our team loves working with him.

How did Farmhouse Networking perform from a project management standpoint?

Scott always tells me what’s going on. He tells me when he has to fix something and is always on target. 

To communicate, we use emails and phone calls. We have a customer portal that he uses for onboarding; when we have a new employee, he uses that portal to send over all information that the new employee needs to get set up. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Scott fixes everything that we need him to fix and does everything quickly. When a computer breaks down or something goes wrong, my staff isn’t waiting around for somebody to fix it. He takes care of it right away — he’s truly attentive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. Scott has been awesome.

Farmhouse is great at keeping their customers happy, and Scott handles everything pretty well on his own.

Farmhouse does an exelent job in comunicating during the process and making sure they cover all concerns of our staff.

How easy they are to get a hold of and to get answers. It's not always about having the answer when asked but always coming through with the right solution and deploying it.

I find with Farmhouse that they cover as much of the process they can. What could be better is that myself ot my staff knows the questions to ask out of Farmhouse. Usually the problem is eductation and or what some think they know and proceed with out proper guidence. This is my staff issue not Farmhouse.

Farmhouse provides updates along the entire process. Example - equipment has been ordered, equipment has arrived, what date is ideal for installation that does not hinder operations.

Always handled in a timely manner. We never feel like we have been put on hold for a higher priority client. Communication is typically always responded to within hours.
