What challenge were you trying to address with Inktrap?

We were looking for an IT solution to improve process efficiency for our committees.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inktrap has been providing IT solutions for our business. We started by describing our problem, and then they researched our processes. After that, they presented their solutions and built a platform compatible with Outlook.

The platform separates committee emails from their work inbox; this allows committee members to read quickly and stay on top of the initiatives without sorting through all the emails in their inbox.

What is the team composition? 

We mainly work with Chris (Co-Founder); he's our main point of contact. Additionally, we interact with James (Co-Founder), Grace (Project Manager), and George (Full-Stack Developer).

How did you come to work with Inktrap?

We already knew about their work, and we wanted to partner with them when this project came up.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in March 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We're in a slow transitional process to change work patterns and use the solution entirely, and the feedback on it has been highly positive from the round of demos for our committee co-chairs. Our information is now centralized on the platform, which will increase efficiency and ease of seeing up-to-date information.

How did Inktrap perform from a project management perspective?

Communication is smooth; we started by having biweekly sprint meetings, then moved into weekly sessions. They also do well at meeting deadlines and mostly staying within budget. 

What did you find most impressive about them? 

It's easy to work and communicate with them; they never make us feel ignorant for being non-technical.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think the 30-day warranty period should be longer. There was an occasion when we felt that the issues we pointed out on the testing site were being handled, but when we received the final product, some of them still needed attention. The warranty period isn’t sufficient to deal with everything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Allocate time for the program and access it as early as possible to ensure issues are taken care of before the final product is delivered.

I’m the founder of The Growing Coaches Ltd., a web-based coaching platform that caters to different industries and sectors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Inktrap?

We needed help with custom software development and UX/UI design.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inktrap is helping us update an MVP, which we've launched 18 months ago. The platform has basic functionalities, and we've asked their team to refine those by mapping out the processes and activities of our end-users and identifying areas for improvement. They've then moved forward with organizing our user groups into four categories: cultures, coaches, clients, and admin staff.

After organizing our project brief and finalizing the results of their team's study, we've agreed on simplifying the processes and automating some features to improve our end-to-end solutions. Inktrap has then integrated additional plugins to enable email exchanges, booking changes, and video calls.

What is the team composition?

We've mainly worked with their co-founders, a project manager, and a small team that's helped us with brainstorming.

How did you come to work with Inktrap?

One of my acquaintances recommended two development providers to me, including Inktrap's team. I chose them because of their proven extensive portfolio and agreeable attitude.

We've spent £50,000 (approximately $67,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Inktrap has delivered a robust platform ahead of time and within our budget. Our users have shared positive feedback about its design and functionality, and it works exactly as we've envisioned. While there are minor UX-related issues that need to be addressed, they've quickly informed us and addressed those.

How did Inktrap perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate via Slack. Inktrap has a thorough process that accurately addresses our intricate needs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're most impressed with their dependable planning and resource management skills — we can always count on Inktrap to maintain a close working relationship with us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I'm happy with what they've accomplished, but I would've appreciated more clarity on the backend development phase.

Inktrap was hired initially to build an MVP for our legal tech platform. Their work covered a lot, including a dashboard for easy navigation, a library full of legal resources, an advanced document editor, and a feature to book expert help. These parts were designed to make finding and using legal help simple and straightforward for our users. Post MVP launch, Inktrap worked continually on iterating the whole platform based off user feedback and strategic direction.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Following the project's completion, we secured significant investment, demonstrating the market's confidence in our platform and its future potential. This investment is a direct testament to the project's success and the effectiveness of the MVP in showcasing our platform's value.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Inktrap managed the project efficiently, delivering on time and meeting our needs effectively. They worked with us two days a week, and we had weekly standups to keep communication clear and address any issues quickly. These meetings helped ensure everything stayed on track and allowed Inktrap to adapt to our feedback. Overall we work in a very agile manner with Inktrap which works very well.

They've been very open to feedback at all stages and have been very accommodating to our needs if at times we felt we needed more experience in a certain area.
