Their CEO reached out to me on LinkedIn after I posted that we had openings. He explained what they could do for us, so we went into discussing some of the people that they had on board. We went through several interview rounds before we started working together.

Our partnership began in April 2021 and is ongoing.

Rollout IT has been a very good partner. They’re always supportive and on time.

How did Rollout IT perform from a project management standpoint?

They didn’t manage the project, but we’re in contact with their CEO and sales manager. We have scheduled meetings where we go over what needs to be changed or improved. We communicate via email and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like that they’re a small agency because it makes them really agile. They always find a solution for us and are very flexible. Our communication is very open as well, which is something I don’t think we would’ve achieved with a bigger agency.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They sometimes provide a CV that makes us expect highly of a certain developer. They could improve on this, but it is minor. Thus far, I’ve been very happy with our working relationship.

Openly communicate with them and share what your expectations are. They are a really open team.

Rollout IT has a strict task management approach that includes deadlines and time estimates. We’ve divided the project into tasks and stages, which the team has delivered on time. Initially, we didn’t have KPIs, but now we can work with precise estimates.

Rollout IT delivers on time with minimal slippage. We communicated using Microsoft 365 solutions.

Beyond the development of these features, an intrinsic part of their responsibility is to ensure our app's seamless compatibility with the broader Shopify platform. This not only meant streamlining its performance on Shopify but also providing robust support for integrations with other platforms and third-party applications as necessary, ensuring a comprehensive and cohesive user experience. 

A consistently functional and efficient app with minimal downtimes or issues. Periodic feature releases that enhance user experience and meet our strategic goals. Seamless integrations ensuring our app remains a valuable tool within the Shopify ecosystem.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The measurable outcomes from the project, while not strictly quantitative in nature, are measured through the tangible improvements and enhancements made to the app. We observe the successful implementation of updates and features that are developed, tested, and rolled out, all of which contribute to a more robust and user-friendly product. 

Furthermore, the collaborative nature of our engagement enabled us to work closely with the development team in tandem with our merchants. This synergy led to the efficient resolution of issues, ensuring the app not only met but often exceeded expectations. The progress is evident in the consistent functionality of the app, its improved interactivity, and the positive feedback loop established between us, the developers, and our merchants.

They consistently deliver updates in a timely manner and are highly responsive to our needs. What particularly stands out is their proactive approach to problem-solving. Instead of seeing barriers, they see opportunities for innovation.
