In comparison to our situation before, when we didn't engage in any type of internet marketing, WebpageFX's efforts have made a world of difference in terms of getting our name out there. We've received calls that came as a result of internet searches. Customers usually find us through searches for "10-year warranty programs" and other similar terms.

They've been very nice to work with. They've recently brought in a specialist with a lot more background in graphic design, who has been overseeing the marketing end of our account. WebpageFX is quite responsive with regards to any requests we may have or corrections that need to be made. There isn't anything that we could ask them to do over and above their current work. It's more a matter of our company opening up the purse strings more and expanding the scope of the work.

We are satisfied with WebpageFX. They've come through on everything they promised. They're very professional. We'd like to have more traffic to the page, but the current SEO work has been done for less than nine months.

Our orders come both through the online shop and through phone calls. Our sales have been steady. A big percentage of our online sales come from repeat buyers that do business with us on a monthly basis. We do have new customers that reach us online, which I can relate to the work that WebpageFX are doing in terms of SEO work.

The general traffic numbers have also gone up. Much of it is traffic coming from our Google RSS feed. We can track these numbers, and they're not something we'd seen before working with WebpageFX. It's a 100 percent increase from our previous numbers.

Tasks are completed on time, and there haven't been any issues whatsoever with their work.

We speak to our account manager two to three times a week. She details all the work that they're doing, including the status of the current running campaigns.

I like the way in which they communicate with us. We receive constant emails about updates to our blogs and things of that nature. It encourages our staff to come up with more information to put on the site. Going through this process with them has been a huge benefit for us.

Coastal Life Systems has been around for 27 years. We started as a distributor of surgical products and, through the years, have grown and purchased a smoke evacuation product line, which is a system of products that are used in surgical procedures for capturing the smoke that is generated. The company that we bought was using an SEO [search engine optimization] vendor, called WebpageFX, so we inherited them.

What business challenge were you trying to address with WebpageFX?

We are currently in charge of manufacturing and distribution. Three years ago, a decision was made to change our business model from strictly having an outside field sales force to a more centralized marketing system, using pay per click, SEO, and so on. We still kept the outside team, but most of the investment and emphasis is on the centralized marketing, which we've oriented toward in the past two and a half years [since 2013].

We did look at different distributors for our product lines, but didn't find what we needed. As a result, we decided to convert our site into an e-commerce outlet, which has proven to be very successful. In order to maximize its potential, we've come to depend on WebpageFX for SEO and analytics since e-commerce is everything these days.

Their work started off as SEO, moved into pay per click, and has grown from there. We've added services, our confidence in them grew, and we invested more as we started to see success. We're doing remarketing, and we work on social media in-house. WebpageFX have given us a quote on other services they can offer in these areas, and we will consider them.

We've also decided to do two email blasts per quarter for which WebpageFX has helped us. They've created content and keywording for us, extending even to the images that go into the website. They've assessed whether the website should be made more mobile-friendly, which is something we are planning on doing. WebpageFX has been very helpful in getting us a better understanding of the industry.

We inherited them. The company that we bought had an e-commerce website that was far from robust for which they decided to hire an SEO company. I'm not sure how long they worked together. We've had such a success with them that we wouldn't dream of ever changing.

We've been working with WebpageFX for two and a half years, and we're planning to invest more money into the effort.

We have a monthly meeting between our staffs in which we measure results. We look at who's visited the site, the bounce rates, and so on. We can track which competitors and what hospitals are looking at our website. We also look at revenue results for the current year compared to the previous ones. All these reports are generated by WebpageFX.

They are very organized with reporting and pumping out work on time.

We've formed good relationships with them. The person we work with on a regular basis is especially knowledgeable and friendly. I can't speak highly enough about them.

In the past few months, we've notices a significant increase in our core website traffic. So far, 2015 has been the biggest year for the company in its 23 years of activity, which is due in large amount to the calls that we're getting. The company has been growing, and WebpageFX has been a big part of that. The money we're giving them has been a good investment.

Our web traffic has increased by about 75 percent. We've had 1.5 million more hits in 2015 vs. 2014. We have a big referral and repeat customer base, but Internet and online marketing is definitely competing right next to it as one of the top three ways to bring in business. WebpageFX have put in a lot of effort, and I've worked directly with their marketer.

How did WebpageFX perform from a project management standpoint?

They've done nothing but increase our online traffic. Jason [Ruhl], our internal marketer, almost gives the feeling that he works for our company. I have nothing negative to say about them in terms of SEO or PPC. The other companies weren't very responsive and made me doubt their effectiveness.

What distinguishes WebpageFX from other providers?

The responsiveness and personal attention they offer is amazing. When Jason, our internet marketer, was assigned to us, he made a two-to-three-hour trip to meet us personally. We talked about goals, where we wanted to be, our strategy for 2015, and so on. It showed that they really do care about our business. Even though we are just a client to them, sometimes I forget that.

If we contact Jason through phone or email, he responds right away, and, even when I need help with the website, he will try to figure it out for us and not charge us extra. He simply is there. That personal attention shows that they really care about our business.

There really isn't anything. I have had no problems or complaints and look forward to seeing where we'll be a year from now.

They generate leads for us through Google search terms. We were ranking terribly for many of them and are now on page one and even slot first for most searches.

Their work centers on organic SEO. WebpageFX handles 60 percent of all our SEO with the other 40 percent being done in-house. They do offer pay-per-click and social media services, but we don't use them due to underwhelming results with previous companies.

The overall cost is hard to estimate. We use WebpageFX for both residential and commercial security, and our leads vary greatly in terms of pricing. For example, a lead may consist of a retired couple paying a $29.99 a month rate while another could be for a corporation paying upward of $2,000 per month.

The work is ongoing. I plan to keep collaborating with them remotely in the future. We've been working together for eight months.

We've gotten a greater number of good quality leads since working with WebpageFX. Before, we used to get roughly the same numbers, but more than half of them did not close. Now, we make appointments for more than 90 percent of our leads. It's a rare occurrence to get a lower quality one from which we don't make money.

They're amazing to work with – very relatable and friendly. WebpageFX work around my schedule as much as needed. I plan on doing contracting work for another company that will also be using them. I will be working with them same WebpageFX manager for both companies. They work well in helping you achieve your company's goals and connect with you.

I don't like the big corporation feel of larger companies. You don't get that with them. They allocate their time to you and offer personalization. The person I work with has dozens of other clients, but always has the time to work with me if I need help.

Working with WebFX has helped us be successful. An example of their positive impact is the drastic increase in organic site visits we’ve reached. When we first began working with WebFX, we only had 400 organic visits, and that number has since increased to 10,000, which is valuable to us.

How did WebFX perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team uses Basecamp to keep track of the project and house all documentation. I’m easily able to upload templates or graphics for WebFX to use. They have a checklist to make sure they’re hitting timelines and accomplishing the right tasks. When they anticipate needing to extend a deadline, they’re very transparent and communicative. If we have suggestions, they give us their honest input about whether or not our budget would allow it.

We have monthly calls with their team. The meetings focus on our previous month’s traffic and future updates they'll be making to the plan.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their insightful team help us realize our goals and find effective ways to track our progress. Some metrics are hard to measure, so they’ve helped us put our goals into perspective and better understand how it will look.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because there are limitations with a WordPress template, their graphics support hasn’t been as great as we would’ve liked.

Although we’re a small company, having a specific person dedicated to communicating with WebFX helps us get the most out of the engagement. If you give them attention and provide insight along the way, the process will be more productive and grow more quickly.
