I’m the market manager for a funeral service provider called SCI Canada.

We hired them for their digital marketing services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WSI eStrategies provides us with digital marketing services. Their tasks include managing our Google Ads, helping us increase our organic traffic, and developing our website. They also handle the hosting of our site.

What is the team composition?

We work with two people from their side, including Mark (Managing Partner).

How did you come to work with WSI eStrategies?

We found out about them through a referral.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with WSI eStrategies in December 2020, and it is an ongoing engagement.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen a lot of success since we started working with WSI eStrategies.

They deliver the work on time. For communication, we use different tools.

We’re impressed with WSI eStrategies’ expertise and the results they’ve delivered.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can increase their knowledge about the French-Canadian market.

I recommend working with WSI eStrategies — our project has been going perfectly with their help.

I’m the owner and president of DECO-TILE INC. We import and distribute floor coverings in Ontario.

We needed help with web development and digital marketing.

WSI eStrategies has developed our WordPress website and does all of our marketing. They manage our site and do our SEO, including Google Ads and Facebook.

We work with 2–3 teammates from their side. Our main point of contact is the project manager.

Someone recommended them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve probably spent $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

Our sales have gone up; we’re very satisfied with their services.

WSI eStrategies has delivered on time and within budget. Moreover, they’re constantly in communication with us.

They’re very personable and thoughtful; WSI eStrategies treats the project as their own.

No, I can’t think of anything right now.

I’d highly recommend them; they know their way around the Internet and social media.

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the Executive Director of The Heart of Orléans BIA. The Heart of Orléans Business Improvement Area (BIA) was started by our business community in 2008 and is managed by a not-for-profit Board of Management. BIAs are a way for business districts to pool resources to improve the area, and speak with one common voice. We do this by promoting the areas as a district, advocating on behalf of our members, and making improvements to the streetscape.

For what projects/services did your company hire WSI Ottawa, and what were your goals?

Our website was not working well. It had too many plug-ins that impacted its functionality and did not reflect our brand well.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We researched web developers and narrowed our list to 4 finally selecting WSI based on what they could provide us with and the fact that they were local. So local that they were down the road from us!

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss requirements, were provided with a quote, then an agreement that included project steps and a timeline. Throughout the process, we were kept in the loop through online meetings.

We worked with 2 who in turn worked with developers behind the scenes.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The Heart of Orléans BIA had the pleasure of working with WSI eStrategies throughout the development of our new website and implementation of a new social media tool. The entire team is professional, knowledgeable and very patient. They listened and understood our requirements and produced solutions that went beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend WSI if you are looking for a local company to effectively address your online business needs.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The team was very receptive to inquiries and we met regularly throughout the process. We used Teamwork to identify any testing issues.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team was efficient and provided an effective product on time that our community loved.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were a few minor bugs when we launched but that was to be expected.
