We started the process with LLT Group with in-depth brand research and competitive analysis to help us clarify our positioning and uncover opportunities for growth. Through a series of collaborative workshops, we explored everything from website design direction to content strategy and calls-to-action.

By the time we entered the design phase, it felt like we were already aligned. The process became more about refinement—tweaking visuals, messaging, and functionality while considering the technical and UX requirements that would best serve our users. Being based in Vancouver, we had the benefit of conducting our workshops using slack, which made the sessions even more engaging, hands-on, and collaborative.

The project wrapped with a full development phase and the launch of a new website that finally feels like a true digital expression of who we are and the clients we’re here to serve.

I'm writing this reveiw now after final delivery of the website. LLT group has been great since the hand-off of the new website and has been there for us in terms of education on how everything works, where to find things and quickly fixing the odd bug that has come up.

We had a weekly meeting cadance with their team. There was a project manager assigned to us who kept everything moving forward, ensured we had all the communication we needed and ensured we were giving LLT Group team all of the assets and content they needed to complete work on their end.

We had a project plan & timeline laid out from the beginning and we actually came in ahead of schedule. Throughout the term, LLT team was very responsive - emails were often replied to same-day or else next day.

We had gone through their previous portfolio work and saw some sites in there that we really liked and that showed LLT Group understood our industry and companies like ours. They do a really good job and are creative while still keeping to budget and deliverables. I'm really happy with the site, the style, the development and the final product.

I think they did a really good job. Our new site development was a big project for us and we're really happy we chose them to work with in terms of the logistics of working with them week-to-week and in terms of the actual deliverables.

The team also integrated review systems like Yotpo so customers could leave feedback and helped set up advanced search functionality using Klevu to make finding products easier. Throughout the project, they focused on optimizing performance, ensuring the store loaded quickly and worked well on both desktop and mobile.

LLT Group was truly good and met our expectations. We received outstanding delivery on time and within the timeframe for the project. We got a clean website with fast load times. User engagement rose by 30%, and we got more sales.

How did LLT Group perform from a project management standpoint?

LLT Group met all our needs and delivered on time. The team had great project management. We used Zoom and email for communication. There were minor issues, but they were mostly caused by us. We're glad LLT Group took the time to address the issues. During the project's initial phase, we didn't send all the requirements, which delayed the project by a week. LLT Group was patient with us and asked about the requirements every time so the project could be done and delivered within the specified timeframe.

The new layout mirrored the modern, cutting-edge nature of UltiMaker’s products and solutions. They developed a dynamic product showcase that allowed visitors to explore our 3D printing solutions interactively, with engaging visuals, product demos, and in-depth technical specifications that effectively communicated the unique benefits of our S and Method series and the MakerBot sub-brand.

Understanding the importance of education in our industry, LLT Group also built an easily accessible learning hub designed specifically for educators and students. This space featured tutorials, case studies, and detailed product information, placing our educational ecosystem, including the Sketch series, front and center. Since the launch of the new website, we’ve experienced a clear improvement in how visitors engage with our content. While we are not sharing exact performance data, feedback from both internal teams and clients has been very positive. Users have noted how much easier it is to navigate the site and find information about our products. The educational community in particular has responded well to the centralized access to learning resources, helping educators integrate 3D printing into their classrooms more confidently and effectively.

While we can't speak to exact statistics in terms of conversion rates, the feedback from both our customers and team members has been overwhelmingly positive. Clients have noted that the process of getting quotes feels faster and more intuitive, and many have commented on how much easier it is to navigate. The added tools for insurance comparison have also been well-received, as they make the decision-making process clearer for those unfamiliar with the specifics of insurance.

What I found most impressive about LLT Group was their ability to listen carefully to our specific needs and translate those into a website that not only looks great but functions exceptionally well. Their attention to detail in making sure that the design was user-centric and focused on enhancing the customer journey was remarkable.

While the project was an overall success, one area for improvement could be the post-launch support. Although they did a great job during the development phase, we would have appreciated a little more follow-up and training on how to manage some of the new features on our end. However, this was a minor concern compared to the overall quality of their work.

After a comprehensive questionnaire and Q & Session the team came back with 3 design concepts for the homepage. All 3 concepts were high quality. We chose our favorite and began iterations. Once the homepage was finalized the team quickly came back with inner page concepts. We collaborated on meetings and provided feedback. Design changes were fast, creative and high quality.

Rahul and his team completely re-did our website. Modernized the whole feel and look to the site and made it more uniform.  There was A LOT of effort that had to be put into this and took longer than it should (our fault completely) and Rahul and the team worked through everything change and update needed.  A lot of countless hours and back and forth as well. 

Orginally, we needed the site finished within 8-10 weeks, even though the standard was 12 weeks or so.  The team made every push and effort to accomodate our timeline.  Our side slowed down the process though and over the last handful of months, we got the site where it is. 

We needed a lot of editting, video swapping, landing page reconfigurations, color scheme matches, etc.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to set up a ticketing style system with all changes that we needed made to the site and this was an effective way to gage the process of each change. It also helped me so that I didn't have to go through each section daily to find out if a change had been made.  Once something was updated, I would receive a message that it was done. 

I was able to call or email at any time and Rahul would either help me himself or direct me on how to get this into the feedback/ticketing forum.

Once we had the ticketing format up, this was a HUGE impact to the whole project. We had response times within 24 hours, if not, within an hour in some cases.  It moved the project along in a pace that I was comfortable with and we were able to create tickets for multiple tasks and changes and all were addressed.

I was impressed with the level of patience that Rahul had for the whole job. I needed to ask a lot of questions and he was able to always make time and walk me through things if needed. I was also a big believer in the ticketing system once I saw it work first hand. That isn't with every company, so it was great.

LLT Group was tasked with helping us create a new website from scratch. This included everything from doing a competitive audit, sitemap recommendation, creating and aligning upon a moodboard, wireframing, completing all of the UI and development of the site. They presented the competitive audit research to us and called out pros and cons of each site.

From there, they created a moodboard and worked with us to finalize the sitemap using Figma. Once we aligned upon the sitemap, Halo progressed into wireframing the main pages and completing the UI. Then, they built the site in Webflow.

It's too soon to measure an uptick in web traffic, but the internal folks and customers are very pleased with the new design. We expect to see an increase in demo and pricing requests with the new site.
