We signed Anideos to help us improve our search ranking and overall content on our website, so we could increase the organic traffic on our website and gain more leads through it. Our dilemma was the fact that despite being one of the oldest financial solution providers we were not able to utilize our website to its full extent and for this we decided to consult Anideos. 

The project included a complete website audit to figure out the areas of improvement in our content to better assist the SEO efforts. Along with this Anideos also tasked to provide a complete SEO plan for our website which included a detailed keyword research, number of blogs per month and an estimate project timeline.

• Every month we are witnessing a steady increase in traffic, the content is well received by the audience, it is well written and resonate with the needs of our target audience which is helping us drive more relevant traffic. In addition to this, last quarter we witnessed 56% increase in organic leads on our website which was amazing.

We found Anideos on Google while searching for web developers. The deciding factor for selecting Anideos was the positive customer reviews on various listing sites.

After the initial kick-off meeting, we discussed the overall objective of our project with the Anideos team. After that, they provided us with mock designs. After the designs were finalized, they proceeded with the content creation and development of the website. For technology, we opted for WordPress.

We initially worked with our Project Zee, who connected us with the designer and the developer working on our website. Other than them we also worked with their SEO specialist and content team.

After the revamp of our site, the bounce rate has decreased drastically by 10%. Other than that, we also witnessed an increase in our lead generation and overall website traffic.

The team opted for Agile methodology to manage our project; we communicated over email and skype, and our POC within the organization was our project manager.

The website they developed was easy to use and had a very streamlined customer journey. The website speed was also great. These small things mattered a lot to us, and they made sure to implement them while developing our website.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only trouble we faced was with the design team. It took them a couple of tries to come up with the design we were looking for despite telling them what we wanted; this put us at the backfoot at the start of the project. However, the development team quickly responded and compensated for the lost time.

We hired them to design a 3D animated motion graphic of a butterfly with these specifications: Shattering butterfly. We need a 3D motion design person who can create the following for a documentary we are making called H.E.A.L. The specifics of what we need is:

• We need a 3D butterfly using the following colors:
  • #00A195
  • #434343
  • #9B04B4
• The butterfly should fly in, flutter around for 6-7 seconds and then shatter into small pieces that fly off-screen.
• After 2 seconds or so the pieces should come back on screen, join together and form the word H.E.A.L. using Code Pro font in #434343.
• After the word H.E.A.L. forms, the words HEALING, EMPOWERMENT, ACTION, LIBERATION using Anonymous Pro font in #00A195 should fade in underneath and stay on screen for about 5-6 seconds before everything fades out together.

Here is an example of something fairly similar: https://www.vecteezy.com/video/8692219-butterfly-gather-and-form-way-po…. But again, we want the butterfly to shatter into pieces, not smaller butterflies. It should be large enough and in a format that will look crisp and clear on a large screen.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were provided examples of similar work, they quoted a price that was $5 under the other company we were looking at and quoted a completion date of 1-2 weeks.

The video was supposed to be a 3D motion graphic of a butterfly that slowly flew onto the screen, fluttered around slowly, shattered into pieces that flew completely off screen, come back on screen and form the word H.E.A.L.

The words Healing, Empowerment, Action, Liberation was supposed to fade in under the word H.E.A.L. remain on screen for a few seconds and then all the words slowly fade out together. The steps was several storyboards, me having to design various aspects of the project as best as I could to further illustrate what was spelled out in the project description and still not getting what we asked for.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

The initial person we talked to was Jacob and he was very prompt in responding, very professional and easy to deal with. The project was given to Vincent. Two days later I was provided with a graphic that looked like a cartoon - nothing like the example that was provided to them - and only included two or the three colors listed as required in the project description, so I provided another example for him on the same day.

Three days later he responded saying "This is juts the theme storyboard." The problem was it wasn't the theme since it didn't have the correct colors or all the text we stated was needed. He sent me another draft which did include all the colors required but the cartoon like background was still included, not the dark background that was in the example provided to him.

I again sent the project description with all the requirements to him, but there continued to be problems. The butterfly kept going partially off screen, the lettering underneath H.E.A.L. still did not fade in, nor did they fade out along with the word H.E.A.L. as was clearly expressed as a requirement in the project description, and extra things were add here and there - like a light flashing over the lettering which is nowhere in the project description.

Long story short, despite being told the project would be completed in 1-2 weeks, and being told, more than once, that we had a deadline of Nov. 28th to get the graphic the production company, as of today, December 8th, we still have not received the what we meticulously described repeatedly. We have already lost $1,000 due to the delay, so we have no choice but to accept a product that does meet the requirements they have been provided over and over again.

There was no success, but unfortunately due to the 1-2 week delivery date turning into nine weeks, we have no choice but to accept a product that is not what we asked for unless we want to continue to loose $100 a day.

Communication was conducted primarily by email. When he would ask me to call, the vast majority of the time he would not answer when I did call. The timeline was obliterated since he couldn't or wouldn't understand and stick to the requirements listed in the project description.

There was NOTHING impressive about this company and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

They could have project managers with the capacity to read and understand the project description and design what is asked for without adding their own personal touches.

In 3rd step they provided us with the monthly content calendar. After we suggested the changes they started working on the content.

In the 4th step we were provided with the monthly content. One it was reviewed by our team they went on to post it on our social media channels.

We selected Anideos on the basis of reference from a former work colleague who had worked with them previously. We had already seen their website so we had an idea of what Anideos was capable of. On receiving a positive word of mouth from him what they had a positive experience we decided to go for them.

After connecting with our account manager, we had a detailed discussion on which tech stack to consider for the project. We knew we need a custom designed website but had no idea about the tech stack. After the discussion we finally decided to go with Ruby. After the meeting they showed us a initial design and after the design was finalized they started development. The development process took time and after several back and forth we finally ended the project.

We worked with several individuals through out the project. We started with our account manager who connected us to the head of production and the designer that was designing the website, at this stage we also had a meeting with their marketing head who optimized the customer journey of our website.

after that we worked with the development team, in total we had several developers working on the project but our main point of contact was their team lead. In the end we also had a discussion with the SEO specialist at that firm who helped with our website's SEO.

Till now we have seen a significant increase in our sales and the new services we have showcased are now easier to sell. The number of leads from our organic keyword has also increased.

Their project management style was a little bit more unconventional than I'm used to, but it worked from them so can't complain. I was in direct contact with my account manager on email but once the project started, we switched to Trello. The amazing thing was that I was kept in the loop throughout the project.

Their way of handling tasks was impressive. They owned the project, and they were completely invested in it.

Their cross-department communication can improve a little bit. The main delay we faced was when the task was rotating within different departments.

We needed app developers who would be active throughout the whole process of us launching and modifying the app where needed be and to top it all off we needed the app to be delivered to us in a very short period without compromising the quality of the app.

The team allocated to find the developers did a thorough research of the market and brought a list of names with positive reviews in market and Anideos was one of the companies that promised the quickest deliveries.

The process started out slower than we had anticipated but once the main idea was down they were quick to deliver us the mock-ups of the apps with an interface that exceeded our expectations given that they only had a short amount of time from our end.

We were directly in contact with one member, the team lead, who had a team of two developers under him completely devoted to our project.

Since our traffic at an earlier stage was low on app we weren't able to exactly calculate the changes i brought. But, after running analytics we observed that people surfing or spending time on our application was higher than that on our website hence, a greater chances of purchases.

Again, since we only had a short period of time we had total of three meetings with them. And, to our surprise those were more than enough. They were quick to respond to our feedback as well.

The script was converted to explainer videos and animated videos along with a few character animation according to the requirements of our different scripts.

We worked with a team lead and he was actively responding to our feedback and minor changes on routinely basis.

The products that we were using helped us in bringing in a larger audience and the feedback that we were receiving from the parents and children themselves was positive. The retention period according to the insights on our website and app also seemed to have gone up by a great percentage.

Even though they made sure to provide us what we asked for on time the time frame that they initially gave us was much longer than we had intended it to be. It would have caused us trouble if we were on time scrunch.
