I’m an executive at Klean Cosmos, a consumer products and services company focused on biodegradable products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tectome?

We had three main challenges. First, our old website wasn’t doing anything. People landed on it, read about biodegradables, and left. We needed a site that actually pushed visitors toward a conversation.Second, we were drowning in inquiries. Biodegradables buyers ask a lot of questions before they order: certifications, shelf life, compost standards and we were taking too long to reply. By the time we got back to someone, they’d usually gone quiet. We wanted AI agents that could handle the first round of questions and only pass the serious buyers to us.Third, most of our inbound inquiries come in outside business hours. I didn’t want to keep asking the team to check messages on weekends. The goal was to have something running overnight so leads stayed warm without burning anyone out.In summary, we needed to fix the website, automate the first touch, and let us focus on the buyers who were actually going to order.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Tectome rebuilt our website from scratch. They created proper product pages, clear sustainability claims, and a structure that routed visitors to an inquiry form instead of dead-ending on a blog post. They also sorted out the SEO basics we’d been ignoring.Moreover, Tectome built AI agents that sit across our website chat, email inbox, and Instagram DMs and handle the first round of every inquiry. The agents answer the repeat questions (shelf life, certifications, packaging specs, MOQs), ask qualifying questions back, and only hand off to our team once a buyer looks serious. They’re trained on our actual product documents, not some generic script.Additionally, Tectome wired the whole system into our CRM so qualified leads land in the right place with the full conversation attached. We don’t copy-paste anything anymore. They also set up basic reporting so I can see how many inquiries came in overnight and what the agents actually said.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before working with Tectome, our average first reply to a website inquiry was about 11 hours, usually worse on weekends. Now, it’s under 30 seconds. That’s the one that matters most. Most buyers in our category start with two or three brands in a tab, and the first one to reply usually wins the conversation.Moreover, our qualified leads per week jumped from around eight to 34 inside six weeks of launch. More importantly, the leads reaching our team now are actually serious: the agents filter out the tire-kickers and students doing dissertations on biodegradables. Additionally, we’ve saved roughly 15 hours a week across the team that used to go into manual replies, copy-pasting into our CRM, and chasing quotes. That’s real time we now spend on product and supplier conversations.Furthermore, our inquiry-to-sample-request rate moved from 12% to 27% after the new site and agent layer went live. It’s hard to attribute every point of that to Tectome, but the site and the AI qualifier were the only major changes we made in that window.We can also see where buyers drop off in the inquiry flow, which we never had visibility into before. It’s already shaped two product decisions.Finally, we’ve seen more sales revenue, but I can’t disclose the details.

How did Tectome perform from a project management standpoint?

Tectome’s project management was tight. They ran the project in two-week sprints with a standing weekly call and asynchronous updates in Slack in between. Every sprint had a clear list of deliverables and a demo at the end. Moreover, they delivered on time on every milestone except one. A CRM integration slipped by about five days because our side didn’t get them access fast enough. That was our fault, and they flagged it the moment it became a risk, not after.The thing I appreciated most was that when we asked for something out of scope, they told us.It felt more like working with a partner than a vendor.

What did you find most impressive about them?

First, the depth of their thinking before they wrote a line of code. They spent proper time understanding how our sales actually worked : how buyers ask questions, where we were losing time, what the team hated doing before proposing a single solution. The AI agent setup they built reflected that. It wasn’t a generic chatbot; it was something designed around our actual funnel.Second, their engineering quality. Everything they built felt solid : the site, the integrations, the agent logic. It held up under real traffic and real inquiries without needing babysitting. We could tell they’d shipped production systems at scale, and it showed in how carefully they set things up.In summary, they were thoughtful. They treated the work like it was their own business on the line.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, there wasn’t much they could improve. If I had to reach something, I’d have liked a bit more written documentation at the handover stage not for the code, which was well-commented, but a simple ops guide for how to tweak agent prompts or add a new FAQ without pinging them. We asked afterward, and they put one together within the week, so it became a non-issue. That was the only thing I could point to.

I came in with loosely defined ideas, especially around AI, and they turned them into something structured and production-ready. What stands out is ownership. They don’t go for quick fixes; they dig into problems, find the root cause, and fix things properly. Communication is clear and efficient, and they operate like a real team rather than freelancers. Most importantly, they’ve helped turn my core idea into a working, growing product.
