I'm the owner of a Belgium based software company creating SaaS solutions for SMBs.

For what projects/services did your company hire Chunkup, and what were your goals?

We were looking for a partner to help us with the branding and the design + coding of the application frontend.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I researched the internet for a suitable partner and selected Chunkup based on: - their reactivity (they replied very quickly and in a positive / constructive way) - their references (I was a real fan of their prior work) - the project proposal (they had a efficient and agile way of approaching the project)

The project was broken down in several phases: - Branding: delivery of logo design, brand book, color scheme's etc - UI design: mock-ups of several front end screens and elements (menus, list views, detail views, etc..) - Frontend coding: delivery of the HTML/CSS/JS for the designs

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Natalie acted as our SPOC for the project coordinating all of the aspects and working on the branding and UI design. Yuri was the main developer who delivered the code.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Thanks to the work of the Chunkup team, we implemented a beautiful and coherent front-end design which is still used and maintained.

The project was managed in a very agile way, which I appreciated a lot. I was constantly kept up-to-date on the budget so I had no unpleasant surprises there whatsoever. The deadlines were always met by the Chunkup team and if there was any danger to meet a deadline, they always communicated about it in a transparent and timely matter.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The professionalism and quality of their work. I have worked with all sorts of teams in the past (startups, corporate, etc..) but working with them was the most hassle-free experience I have had.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of anything they need to improve on.

I'm the CTO and CEO of Oneo GmbH, localized in Switzerland, providing IT consulting services and development to banks and insurances.

For what projects/services did your company hire Chunkup, and what were your goals?

In 2018, we had too few Angular developers to continue developing our ConfigSeeder product. Thereby, we needed not only an experienced Angular developer but also a development leader for the frontend development. With Yuriy from Chunkup, we found what we were looking for.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had offers from several companies and examined the offered profiles in various technical, but also conceptual questions. We were looking for profiles that not only simply program, but also think ahead creatively.

The first task was to review the existing Angular code and make suggestions for improvement including estimates. After the implementation of the improvements, further functionalities were developed. Since we lost our designer in the meantime, Chunkup was able to offer a suitable person. We had daily standups and together they planned the issues for the current milestone. Together with our developers, the work was synchronized and pushed forward, so that we could publish a new release with new features once a quarter.

Chunkup provided us with 3 team members: - a development manager - a frontend developer - a UX designer

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The orders were generally implemented within the expected timeframe. Delays were mostly caused by the backend development team. Compared to the previous external developers, the team was 25% faster, with better quality.

Communication was usually via Slack and GitLab and was always at the expected depth.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The development team worked well together and the work handed over for review was already of high quality, so there was no need for large feedback loops.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Basically, we're delighted with the work they provide for us. When there was just less to do on our side, the response speed was reduced because the developers were away elsewhere. The response was within the expected time frame.

They worked on converting and optimizing web pages, in order to make them more responsive.

Their work has allowed us to move away from building mobile-specific websites, and accommodate all display types with efficiency.

They manage our projects well, with little to no supervision.
