Yurii and his team were excellent at communicating from start to finish.  They created easy Slack communication boards to update daily progress, provide screenshots and videos and then request feedback to move forward.  Any delays were on my side if I could not get back to them immediately.

Other than doing their best to implement my vision, what set them apart was their ability to offer other creative ways to implement my ideas elegantly.  Most other UI designers were not able to offer the guidance and the strategy necessary to help refine and perfect my projected application.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Cre8 Team could have done differently?

At this time, I dont have any suggestions other than to remind Cre8 to not get too big where their founder is not able to have some time to collaborate with each individual client.  Yurii is an exceptionally smart and creative man, and much of the reason I hired Cre8 and then appreciated the work so much was because of him.  His staff is also strong caliber, but his guidance, care and attention to the project was ultimately invaluable.

I came to the Cre8 team with a vague concept of an idea with screenshots and scrappy notes. They took this idea and developed user journey map of the app architecture which was spot on. They then developed wireframes of the application where we ran through hypothesis and had user testing to validate the concept and check the UX was clear for users to follow (which both passed with flying colours). 

From here, they developed UI designs and completed all states for the application in addition to building a very detailed design system that has proven to be extremely useful for development.

Not only was I extremely impressed by the daily communication throughout the project and how easy it was to collaborate but the passion the team showed for my startup was something I hadn't seen before when working with other design agencies. They completely got what it was I wanted to build and the reasons the industry needed it. The quality of design output was excellent with very little feedback or iterations needed.

In addition to this, the scope of work has included a design library to ensure a seamless roll out on the front end and including all responsive designs also.

During the project, we have set clear outcomes at each stage to ensure progress towards the MLP. Key to this, has been the clear, effective and streamlined communication between the teams which was set by the agency.

The company is small, but at the same time it copes well with big projects due to time tracking and quality management. Separately, we're pleased with the design team, who professionally answers questions and solves our problems during development.

The team needs to pay attention to the planning and estimation stage of tasks at the conclusion of the contract, as the customer does not always see the hidden risks that may arise on the project and therefore relies on the team of the contractor.

They have a high standard of design knowledge and implementation, paired with a humble and flexible approach. Always ready to give advice, but also very good at listening to client wishes and expectations. Extremely easy to work with.

By comparison, I find that in the UK, agencies often come with a lot more 'baggage' for clients in terms of having a certain style or way of doing things, being less flexible and humble - more about them pushing their brand, rather than listening to the client and following their wishes.

The website that Cr8 delivered to us was exactly what we were hoping for and it was also a relatively fast delivery! More visitors stay on the website and interact more. We interviewed 3-5 UI/UX agencies/developers and selected Cre8 Team based on their flexible pricing structure and ability to quickly deliver designs and iterate on them.

Since we already had mock-ups in Figma, we kicked off the project by having Cre8 Team convert them over with a new theme and design library to achieve a consistent feel throughout the app. We paired down some of the functionality to focus on the core value of the app and were able to get the initial project done quickly and efficiently.

We worked with Yuri, who is the main project manager, and Denis, a staff designer.

We needed to create a consumer app to help engaged couples find great wedding vendors for their big day. We needed a design partner who could develop the UX and then help bring the visual designs to life.

We shortlisted a number of vendors. Cre8 was able to provided a detailed analysis of our current situation and needs and mapped that to a proposal and timeline. Their rates were fair and they had a clear plan to manage the project to success.

The team conducted interviews with several team members, researched the space and competitors, and provided us with a design brief presenting their approach. After agreeing on the scope and overall strategy for their design work, the Cre8 team jumped in and iterated through high-level wireframes and then high-fidelity designs on key screens. We iterated on the designs and then the Cre8 team completed the high-fidelity screen designs.

There was one main resource, a senior designer. The Cre8 founder and CEO was also available and involved in many steps.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were really happy with the final product. We are currently implementing the designs, but so far the design prototype has shown promise in 8 different guided research sessions with prospective users.

Their workflow was very good. The team was engaged and we communicated regularly via Slack. We used Loom to share feedback and iterate on the Figma designs.

The team had a high standard for their designs and was communicative and responsive across the entire design process.
