As part of our new management team, our company underwent a renaming, relocation, and rebranding of the business during 2024. DC Technolab was hired by our company to create a brand new logo, color scheme, and aesthetic for this new business. The design work was focused on creating a minimalist, contemporary-looking logo that captured the underlying notions behind our new name. This was coupled with designing a curated color scheme to help drive forward the aesthetic.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Specific timelines were established regarding design brief deliveries, revision completions, and submission of final "materials".

DC Technolad did an incredible job of exceeding these timelines, which was particularly notable during the first few rounds of design revisions when we provided extensive change feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The DC Technolab team spent an extensive amount of time on diligencing our motives, goals, and concepts behind the rebranding. They truly sought to align with us on a strategic level such that their work was going to be value-additive, not just "going through the motions." 

This approach forced us to push the rebranding concepts even further and tighten them up, so DC Technolab provided us with more than just a digital product. It is rare that a vendor can provide a firm-wide impact when working on a small component, so the team is truly talented, experienced, and professional in our opinion.  

Are there any areas for improvement or something DC technolabs could have done differently?

None, we thoroughly enjoyed working with the DC technolabs team and look forward to future collaborations.

We hired DC Technolabs to manage and optimize our current website infrastructure. Their responsibilities went beyond maintenance; we entrusted them with dramatically increasing website load times on both desktop and mobile platforms. The goal was to provide a speedier, smoother experience for consumers accessing our health-related content, especially as easy access to information is critical for our patients.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Prior to their help, our website was slow, particularly on mobile devices, affecting both user engagement and search rankings. After DC Technolabs got involved, the results were undeniable: our site's speed increased considerably on both desktop and mobile versions. This boost in speed made for a considerably more fluid user experience, which was crucial given the nature of our health services.

Their method of project management was excellent. DCTechnolabs was always quick to respond and address us whenever we had any issues or requests for certain tasks to be completed. Communication was a breeze and they always answered any questions or adjustments we had during the process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The speed at which they responded was truly unique. We were never put on hold, and we felt like our problems mattered. The fact that they were so customer-focused, along with the deep level of technical capability, was significant. They always did excellent work and definitely took the success of our website to heart.

Are there any areas for improvement or something DC technolabs could have done differently?

The only area I see for potential growth would be to introduce more proactive SEO strategies, along with their technical services. As we grow further, it would be wise to pay more attention to SEO and setup regular monthly technical checkups so that if things happen they can be detected earlier.

• Our website was outdated and missing critical modern features, such as Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities, which have become essential in today's digital landscape. Without an in-house development team capable of managing the project, we sought the expertise of DC Technolabs to revamp our website and incorporate these necessary features.

The project began with a comprehensive kickoff meeting, followed by regular semi-weekly calls to track progress and address any issues. We set up a test Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) environment to test the code, and subsequently implemented SSO for both Okta and ADFS in our production environment. The project was executed meticulously, ensuring smooth integration and functionality.

Implementing Single Sign-On was a pivotal enhancement, aligning with the industry standards our customers expect. This upgrade not only enabled us to secure new business opportunities but also allowed us to upgrade existing customers who had been eagerly awaiting this feature.

The project management was robust, with semi-weekly calls where we discussed the project's status, addressed issues, and ensured alignment. For immediate updates and communication, we leveraged email and Slack, which facilitated efficient and timely interactions.

The expertise of DC Technolabs' developers was particularly impressive. They worked diligently with our team to thoroughly gather all requirements and ensure the project was executed correctly. The organization demonstrated a high level of professionalism, flexibility, and ease of collaboration, making the entire process smooth and efficient.
Are there any areas for improvement or something DC technolabs could have done differently?

There was a slight slowdown when the lead developer took some PTO during the project, but considering the length and complexity of the project, such delays were understandable and did not significantly impact the overall outcome.
