Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm the General Manager for a Online Food Company where we sell healthy meal plans for our customers.

For what projects/services did your company hire ellowww, and what were your goals?

Ellowww was responsible for the re-programming of the whole application to suit our needs, ship new features weekly & monthly. Their team helped us also to do improvements to the code. Maintain our servers. Also we used their services for UX & UI for our website and client facing application.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We initially hired for an UX project from Upwork and then just started with small projects - which was great on standards. Then we wanted to have a full time agency on our application so we asked them if they can manage and they did, also very well executed.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Building an application for our meal plan company, for our admin team and the customers. React JS, Yii2 Framework, MariaDB, Socket IO, AWS EC2 & 3 are the technologies used. Maintaining our servers and make sure there is no downtime when a large number of customers login to our application.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Our contract was a full package on all IT solutions so it was their whole team expertise but we always had 1 to 2 full time developers working on our project. But we had the server team, UX & UI team, senior project managers who would supervise our projects too which also was involved but not full time, as a service.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After they took over the development of the application, the load time has improved drastically and huge drop in bugs. Also, they were able to ship new features very fast, we had weekly & monthly launches. Their UX & UI team has a good eye for beautiful design and customer centric view which gave our brands all the fresh and modern look that we wanted.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We used Slack as our mode of communication and ever we had an emergency contact which was always useful if something urgent arises. With Slack we used to manage our communications efficiently. They responded in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I would their team work, their services grouped up and very good standard product outcomes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not that I am aware of or was required off.
