Fictive Studios was challenged with developing a mobile platform for a fitness company. They were in a partnership since June 2021.

Feedback summary

The process would continuously get worse throughout the partnership. Fictive Studios built an iOS app that was built with 1.1.0, the oldest version of the iPhone. The client was forced to transfer to another vendor who had to write a completely different code.

I hired the Fictive Studios to design an UX/UL mobile platform for my users. the idea was to have a users friendly mobile app

I found the company on the search engine through Bark

 This is a warning sign be carful what you are getting into. My name is Moussa Sidibe and this company is a scam There’re not who they say they are. When they tell you be patient trust me they mean that when it comes to developing an App. I’m saying this from my own experience with them starting from June 2021 when I first sign up with them and still haven’t get the results that I paid for.

When i was looking for app developer company, i was contacted by Seth supposedly the Sr project manager if that is truth He seems very nice guy he then got me in touch with Jay we set up everything to start the project. Few weeks later Jay ask me if could write a review about the company i said no that's too early and i haven't gotten any results yet.

I start asking for updates on the project status I wasn't getting any response from him, so started asking Seth what's going on i'm not getting any response from Jay. He will tell me that he's going to find out what's up and that's every time i ask for updates. He then assigned me to Ross and i was having the issues with him not getting updates that i wanted this updating problem kept going on for about a year and Seth finally took over the Project.

Things started moving forward until submitting the App to App Store and play store. the android version of the App was approved with few error to fix abut the IOS version was never approved by App Store because it built with 1.1.0 which is the oldest version of the iPhone. I ask Seth to fix the problem the app stores were requiring and he will tell me is the team is working on it just be patient and they couldn't find the way to fix the problem Seth told me that the app store will not approve the App without a landing page and i paid what they wanted to built the landing page after the contract we agree upon.

He told me it will take a week or so to complete the page and it's been 3 months now the landing page never got to work properly you can check it out yourself tafcha.com and the App is call tafcha if you have an android you can download it and check it out none of that landing page buttons are working. I got frustrated and i started looking for someone to help me finish the project.

I Found some someone to find out what the App Stores were asking, and after he took a look at the code he told me that the code they wrote is all junks code and users would never be able to use the app like this and IOS will not approve this version.  so the only solution to fix is to rewrite the code not separately but both android and IOS in the same platform which is totally different than what FictiveStudios did.

I had to start my app all over again under different name because of what they did. I have made a regrettable mistake in this process and i am telling you these so that you don't make the same mistake i did. The app is designed to assist individuals in the art of letting go. This is accomplished by typing thoughts and emotions in the provided text box, swipe up on the arrow, and watch the creative animation take it into the universe. Followed with some positive affirmations and redirection.

• As of the date of this review, it has gone global. Downloads in multiple countries. We have not even begun to market yet.

About midway through the design and build process there was an issue with my original project manager and communication was lost for several months. I had to contact the sales manager and he passed my information on. Shortly after I was contacted by the VP of the company, and worked with him until we were up to speed once again. I was then passed to Henry, and we finished solid. 

The initial quote for the time frame was significantly less than the actual time to launch, but along the way I had several ideas I wanted to implement. Henry and the team worked tirelessly on them and produced an amazing product! They were very receptive and creative when it came to changes I desired. And submitted to me quickly.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

This was my first app. I had no idea what to do or expect. My mind was constantly blown with the creativity and non-stop effort on the part of my design team at Fictive Studios.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Fictive Studios} could have done differently?

I was quoted a price with the initial contract. The actual price at the time of the launch was significantly more due to app maintenance, storage etc. If you are a first time app designer, I would make sure to know the actual final cost, and have them or someone explain what happens when the app is done.

Only 2 Team member were connected always with me and they both have good and enough knowledge about App.. One is project manager and 2nd one is Senior Developer

Yes i shared my App for given Feedback to me, after sharing my friends, relatives and my colleague shared with me a very fabilious Feedback about my App.

Time given and also corporate with my mind standing

Only 1 thing i realize they work very slow but they deliver very best delivery any kind offf... So my suggestion is little bit speed..
