Of course, we also did our own research, but the offer presented by them convinced us the most - they have an impressive portfolio and vast experience in their niche - Wordpress. We are very impressed with the level of the product we received. The CMS is intuitive and allows our marketing team to easily add new content. We have received positive feedback on new website from both our team and customers.

We were in regular contact with Fooz’s team using a shared Slack’s channel. At the beginning of the project, we received a schedule of work and knew when to expect the next stages to happen.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impresses us the most is their technical knowledge of WordPress - they are certainly experts in their field. Another thing is their customer care - project management was very proactive. Before we were given access to the new CMS, we were comprehensively trained in its use.

The first stage was creating functional mock-ups, which were the basis for the graphic design of the new website. ​​After our approval, Fooz's team began coding and testing the site. They also carried out a content management training for our team. The final stage was publishing the website on the server.

Users find the new website clear and informativenow. They are able to easily find the information which they could not locate previously. Also, candidates have now an option to send their resume through the contact form, which have already gathered very positive feedback. We wanted to reinforce our position on the market as a company providing top quality services, the rebranding and the new website helped us to do that.

Very efficient, we could always count on a prompt response from Fooz whenever there were questions or comments on our side. We communicated via Microsoft Teams, which we use every day in Master Care.

Entire development process. During the project it was clear that Fooz has years of experience, each process was understandable and logical to me, making the whole project run smoothly.

For what projects/services did your company hire Fooz, and what were your goals?

Fooz was responsible for both UX/UI and implementation of the frontend and backend on Wordpress. It was particularly important for us to adapt the new website to the requirements of Google's algorithms, which evaluate pages based on their loading speed and responsiveness on mobile devices. The UI had to impress new website users and correspond with our corporate design and business profile.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I've worked with Fooz previously on another website - I was very happy with the workflow, communication and quality of the final output, so I decided to hire them again for the new project. Choosing Fooz for the new task was a no-brainer for me.

Fooz was responsible for the entire implementation process of our new website. We started from the UX workshops, where we discussed in detail our requirements and content architecture.

During the following stages, we prepared functional wireframes (UX wireframes) and the final graphic design (UI design). Then, the developers took care of transferring the prepared designs to the front-end and back-end layers.

We decided to implement the website with the Wordpress CMS to ensure easy content changes, with no in-house developers involved.

Fooz was also responsible for website testing (including end-to-end testing), which was carried out on an ongoing basis according to a schedule presented to us in advance. The project also included publication, security and optimization, where we used solutions recommended by Fooz.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After contacting Fooz, an estimation and all the necessary documents needed to start the project were prepared for me in no time. Fooz prepared a timetable before starting the project to ensure website timely delivery. Throughout the project, we received regular status updates for each task.

During key development phases, Fooz did not make decisions on their own — they asked for our opinion, and we solved problems together. In the end, thanks to their approach, we managed to implement the website within the assumed schedule and budget.

We were impressed by the high pace of work and smooth communication. At the kick-off meeting we set a clear direction in which we wanted to go, while also leaving some space for the designer to prove himself. We used a shared Slack channel for ongoing communication and problem solving, this way we kept everyone involved in the project in one place. Additionally, we now use the ClickUp app where we can enter tasks for further development of our website and monitor the changes.

High commitment to the project. Constant contact with the project manager, designer and developer. Sense of aesthetics and technological know-how.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I had one remark on managing the changes backlog after the page was published, but we quickly found a satisfactory solution.

Our client is very satisfied with their new website. After the hand-over of the designs, Fooz team took care of the entire project - they prepared an estimation of time & cost, came up with a timeline and delivered the website on time. Our involvement during the development phase was rather marginal, which - to be honest - is desired, while working with an external partner.

The workflow was very effective, we were impressed with their involvement from the project management standpoint. We were using Slack channel to communicate and to solve any problems along the way.

The website is 99% done. We’re waiting for 1–2 more items to be put on the site, but it’s live for the most part. I’d rate them 10 out of 10 — I’m very satisfied with their work, responsiveness, and price.

How did Fooz perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was very good. One person managed our project, and she was always very responsive. She served as the middle-person between me and the developer, and she explained everything to me. 

Communication was good. We used Slack and sometimes email or phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They paid attention to detail. Our site required a lot of detailed tasks, like animation. Everything was perfect and looked very good.

So far, we have been cooperating on two large web development projects for our clients. We were responsible for the design phase of the projects, and Fooz team was responsible for implementation of the code and Wordpress engine.

Their portfolio and positive reviews convinced us to meet with them, and talk about possible cooperation. Although we know that our graphic designs are highly valued by our clients, we also had to deliver the technical part, and in this area Fooz excelled. They also took care of the deployment process, page speed, SEO optimization and maintenance.

Our clients and users have praised the visual appearance of the websites. Both projects have been delivered in time and within budget.

I’m very satisfied. Agile workflow was definitely a key part in the success of our projects developed together. We were using Trello and Teamwork during the development phase, as well as Skype and Slack to communicate. Fooz team complied with deadlines and always communicated any delays ahead of time.

They know their job - simple as that. They are taking initiative, can think outside the box when necessary and roll up their sleeves when the deadline is tight. We were also impressed by how quick they are to solve unexpected issues or respond to change requests from clients.

I’m the CEO of a development agency. We design and build websites as well as advise various different digital projects.

We have a number of WordPress customers, and Fooz works on the sites’ backends for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

While we manage website design and content, Fooz manages development and technical aspects of the platform. There’s a grey zone, but as the problems become more technical, Fooz helps us to solve them.

We work with their backend team following an Agile process. Their team develops WordPress websites and solves technical problems when they arise. After Fooz sets up the sites, they take care of the backups and regular processes to prevent hackers and viruses. They also developed a couple of plugins for us.

What is the team composition?

We work with a project manager and a developer who is responsible for the project.

How did you come to work with Fooz?

We decided that we needed more technical help three years ago. We had negative experiences with previous outsourced providers and sought a new company to support us. At the time, I was in a business network that Fooz used to contact me.

Their fast and friendly responses were one reason that we chose them. They also seemed competent. We had direct technical talks with the head of the company who involved themselves in projects. I’m also the head of my company and work on projects too. Fooz seemed to be a good fit, so we decided to go with them.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent between $20,000–$25,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our first project in November 2017, and we’re still working with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Fooz is the backbone of our WordPress sites. Their team’s our first choice of partner when we need to develop a new product. They have great knowledge of WordPress’s possibilities.

We also have a functional alarm system. If an issue arises, we directly reach out to Fooz. We have different customers but there hasn’t been a problem that their team didn’t solve.

We seek partners with an honest interest in building quality products. We believe that Fooz has that interest based on their ideas and the quality of their work. Their team also has fun with the projects.

How did Fooz perform from a project management standpoint?

Fooz doesn’t cause any delays. If there are delays, they’re usually due to an issue on either our side or the customer’s side. When we communicate with them, we get answers. It’s always friendly.

We had 1–2 bigger projects that needed project management. On the other project, however, we only needed internal project management. In all instances, it worked well for us. Comparing Fooz to other companies, they have good project management skills.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Fooz initially looks into a project and then gives good estimates to prevent problems during the project. If an area of the project’s unclear, we’re aware in the beginning and react to it. This isn’t true of all companies. Many try to get the contract but don’t get into the details. This can cause many problems during the project if it’s complicated.

There is no salesperson in between us, which is how we want to work. We don’t want to talk to sellers. That’s what many companies in this area of business don't understand.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could make more suggestions, especially during long-term projects. For certain projects, we have worked together for three years. It would be helpful for them to give us more input on where we could technically improve.
