The Foreign Agricultural Service is an agency within the USDA U.S. Department of Agriculture with the mission to promote the export of agricultural products to international markets. As a Marketing Coordinator, I am in charge of the implementation of marketing strategies for the demand generation of food and beverages in order to increase imports in Panama.

For what projects/services did your company hire GX LIVE MARKETING?

Sabor USA is a brand managed by the USDA to promote consumer oriented products. GXLive Marketing was awarded a contract to develop and implement digital strategies for Sabor USA.

What were your goals for this project?

The Launch of Sabor USA for Panama with all its component: Social media, Website, video productions and content development. This project will improve our communication with the end consumer on providing a concise promotion on quality and the nutritional value of U.S. agricultural products. Make U.S. product be in the top of mind of local importers and end consumers.

How did you select GX LIVE MARKETING?

Our agency submitted a public bidding process in order to select the vendor. 6 companies were consiered GX Live Marketing was selected based on experience, strategic planning and driven customer service provider. FAS Panama team and a Regional Agricultural Counselor were involved in the selection.

The projected initiated with a full market research provided by GXLM.

After determined the target audience and understanding of the digital ecosystem in Panama, GXLM provided a detailed proposal for the implementation and execution of the SAbor USA project including strategic planning, content development, media planning including traditional media and reporting. FAS provided all the preliminary guidelines.

What was the team composition?

As the Marketing Coordinator I worked closely with the agency. A team of 4 people from FAS.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The implementation of SAbor USA has help and increase brand awareness of the brand and better positioned U.S. food and beverages in the country.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent project management skills in terms of communication, scheduling and proposing new ideas and strategies based on the performance of each content developed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The team at GX Live Marketing are always giving the extra mile. They worked based on the client's schedule and moved to achieve the project's ultimate goals.

I’m the general manager of an insurance company based in Panama.

What challenges were you trying to address GX LIVE MARKETING?

We hired them for their event planning and management services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GX helped us organize our company’s 110th anniversary. They were in charge of everything from selecting the venue to sending invitations to designing all the graphic materials, and much more.

What is the team composition?

On the day of the event, there were about 10 people from their team.

How did you come to work with GX LIVE MARKETING?

Before working here, I worked for another insurance company where I was in charge of organizing events. So, I was familiar with GX’s work and knew they were always the best option in matters of price and services. When this project came up I decided to work with them again.

We invested around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from August 2019–February 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our objective for the event was to announce and celebrate our anniversary, and GX successfully achieved that for us. The event was a great tool to position our brand because we hadn't had anything similar in a while.

How did GX LIVE MARKETING perform from a project management standpoint?

They always met deadlines, were very proactive in their communication, and just did everything well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed with their logistics. The GX team worked 24/7 so everything was executed the way we wanted. There were some last-minute changes but they immediately made sure the changes were accomplished and everything was ready in a timely manner.

No, I can’t think of anything.

I am a marketing coordinator at a multinational software company.

What challenges were you trying to address GX LIVE MARKETING?

We’ve had different projects with them through the years for mainly event marketing projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Some of the most recent projects focused on coordinating the marketing strategies around some of the biggest events organized by our company, mainly related to AI and technology. They manage all the art, logistics, booths, stages, schedules, and other details for those events.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked directly with four people but they also work with other service providers for external services we need such as furniture and mounting. 

How did you come to work with GX LIVE MARKETING?

They have been working with the company since before I started working here. We have several service providers here, but I definitely prefer to use them for bigger events. 

How much have you invested in them?

We have had events with budgets that range from $500,000–$150,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I believe they started working together in 2010, but I wasn’t here. I began working with the company around 2016 and we’ve had an ongoing relationship.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re very happy with their work. For one of our biggest events, they were able to solve problems we hadn’t even identified ourselves that involved finding screens for streaming services. We’re satisfied with their services. 

How did GX LIVE MARKETING perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via email. We already know each other very well so we know exactly how long each process will last and they are very professional regarding schedules, deadlines and communications. We’ve never encountered any issue because they are very efficient and fast. They are extremely well organized, and great at working under pressure.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

We really like working with them. A great thing about them is they’re always evolving and expanding their services. They are always on top of the latest marketing trends.

No, whenever we have encountered any issues we have brought it up to them and they have solved it right away and are very flexible.

GX Marketing was the event coordinator and management group that oversaw our grand opening events.

SOLUTION

How did you select this firm and what were the deciding factors?

Interviewed three event groups, chose GX based on alignment with objectives, shared company cultures, track record in same region with similar demographic, and personal recommendations.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

Grand opening event was a two-day in person live event. One day in Panama City. Second day at Linton Bay Marina. We went through many assessments to understand the event goals. GX created a clear vision for the two days of events, which allowed us to communicate to our entire team. GX handled all logistics bookings and coordination, assisted with branding, and organized the full two day event.

Our event was an absolute success because of GX. We surpassed our goals of attendance and experience by guests. This event put us on a large stage for the world.
