Illumination Foundation is a non-profit organization that focused on housing and healthcare solutions for homeless and vulnerable families and individuals in southern California. I am the Marketing Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire Hueman Studio?

As an ever-changing organization that is growing rapidly, we needed a knowledgeable team to host our website. We wanted to be sure that we could make quick edits to the site as well as be able to rely on experts to help with revamping pages and themes.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have worked with Kenni Roberson for over 4 years. During that time he has been our graphic designer for our organization. We are always impressed by the creative designs that represent our vision and brand. Additionally, he is a joy to work with. He is professional, organized, and extremely responsive. When he also started sharing about the work he does through Hueman Studio we were impressed by everyone's knowledge of web development and web design. Given our relationship with Kenni and our needs we thought it made sense to have Hueman Studio design and host our website.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The team moved our old website from WordPress to Square Space. They made updates to features and designs. We had a couple of meetings with Kenni to better understand the benefits of making the switch. Then we had an initial phone call to meet the different team members that we would be working with. We would send over feedback, direction, and edits to Ilmaa and Kenni who would work with the rest of the team to ensure it was completed. We had some additional follow-up meetings and the website was officially switched on Aug 29, 2022

The website is so much more user-friendly now. We like how much more organized it feels and how we have incorporated our upcoming news and events.

Their team is so responsive and helpful. They get to every request super quickly and we appreciate that. If something needs to be talked through, we can jump on a call. We appreciate their feedback and that they are going to recommend best practices.

They're knowledgeable, talented, organized, easy to work with, and they communicate effectively.

Nope, they are awesome!

I’m the founder and CEO of an education company. We combine sports training, especially boxing, with STEM/STEAM education and data analytics to engage underrepresented students and promote holistic development and equity in STEM fields.

Hueman Design built us a website with 19 pages that was beautiful, accessible, SEO, and easy to manage. 

We came to them with a huge amount of text but very little background in design or web development. They were excellent partners in design and development, helping us bring our ideas to life and teaching us what we needed to know on the technical end.

We have received very positive feedback on our website's design and navigability.

Our unique visitors have gone up from about 50/month to more than 1,000/month.

Hueman was able to work on projects for us last minute and the turn around time was very fast. They are communicative and don't mind taking time to teach us how to do things on our own, such as website edits via SquareSpace.

We hired Hueman to design and build us a new website from the ground up. We had previously been on a hard to manage CMS backend so we agreed with them that Squarespace would be a better platform for us and our needs which do not include a lot of technical functionality but is more design and information focused.

We loved Hueman Studio's design of the site and the responsiveness of their communication. The work was done well and quickly and our company was the one that contributed to any delays! We were able to work quickly through minimal edits on the site structure and have been very happy to have a new site that better matches our company culture and service offerings.
