We are a production company in Kuwait that produces theater plays, TV shows, and radio station programs. Our company is not only in Kuwait; we work in many parts of the Middle East. Our company has been in business since 1975.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink Infosystem?

We’re currently opening a new department and feel that businesses need to utilize the app market in order to see their businesses grow. Our fans have made it clear that they’d like us to publish an application that makes all of our content available. Hyperlink Infosystem was the solution to that problem.

Due to Kuwait’s lack of resources in the technology space, we knew we had to find a partner outside of Kuwait to help.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink Infosystem?

I researched many different companies, both in the US and Kuwait. We have relationships with many companies but the majority of our work is outsourced outside of Kuwait. We know a lot of small businesses in Kuwait, who work in maintenance and IT, but application development almost exclusively happens outside Kuwait.

I also searched for app development companies in the UK, but didn’t find anything. I’m not sure exactly why I chose Hyperlink Infosystem, but I felt there was something special about them and ultimately, I'm happy that I chose them. They did a very good job. At the beginning, I was worried that we might face problems linguistically because they are from India, and we speak Arabic. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to effectively explain everything to them, as English is a second language for both of us. They work well as a team, which is important to me. Every time I send an email or call, they always answer.

Hyperlink InfoSystem is a very good partner. It would be great if they had more of a physical presence in Kuwait.

My company is a mobile application and software solution for dog owners and companies that provide services for dogs. Such services include, dog walking, grooming, and any other dog related businesses. It’s a marketplace to connect both parties.

The majority of development is done by my in-house developer. We looked overseas because cost is a big concern with development, and businesses overseas are generally cheaper. Additionally, while working with a company in the opposite time zone, we are able to work 24/7.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink Infosystem?

Initially, I was evaluating a few different providers. I sent out a request for proposal, looked at each provider’s portfolio, and the potential issues that could come up. In the end, I decided Hyperlink was the best.

The project was in the range of $10,000 to $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This week we’re nearing completion of our third and final phase.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

For the first phase, we had a private beta launch. For this, we brought on two clients along with their own client base.

What distinguishes Hyperlink InfoSystem from other providers?

Hyperlink InfoSystem has a customer-centric approach, with the leadership team regularly checking in with clients. Often with offshore providers, you only deal with the project management team – that was not our experience. We even heard from the CEO after we signed the contract. They remained very close to the project to ensure sure we were happy throughout.

Is there anything Hyperlink InfoSystem could have improved or done differently?

There was a minor language barrier, but it didn’t hinder the process. Overall, Hyperlink was a great partner.

I'm an MBA [Masters of Business Administration] student, and I've started a company around a mobile app that allows people to connect with other users who are located within a 150-foot radius. It's an ice-breaking app that's purely geolocation-based as opposed to traditional networking applications that use existing knowledge of linking people in order to connect them.

What is your position?

I'm the founder and only person on the team.

I'm not a developer. I needed to find a partner to help me build the app. I decided not to go with a North American company because I realized most of the development work is usually outsourced overseas anyway. I decided to cut out the middleman and go to the source.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

I did extensive research online, including using Clutch. I read the reviews and spoke to a number of their previous clients. Ultimately, I think it was, first, their small size. That was important because, if you work with a big company, you're a little fish in a big pond. Lastly, Hyperlink's attitude I was able to develop a personal connection with their representative.

My project was a slightly more than $50,000.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

I think that the biggest success was the user interface. The first proposal Hyperlink made in terms of user interface they gave three options. They were equally appealing, and we went with option one. It has been an absolute hit with people who have used it or looked at it from regular users with no IT [information technology] experience to those who have developed apps before. Everyone is saying the user interface is great. We are very happy about it. In terms of functionality, it was bug-free. We went through challenges in the development but in the end, the final product is bug-free, and we're happy with it.

What distinguishes Hyperlink InfoSystem from other providers?

I have two contacts – a business development person and a project manager. Both of them are exceptionally responsive. The project manager is on Skype and frequently available. He's been fully dedicated to the project. Everything that had to be fixed was fixed almost immediately. They're very easy to communicate with. The ability to communicate in English was phenomenal. Their understanding of the requirements was phenomenal. Hyperlink InfoSystem's suggestions of solutions to requirements were unparalleled. Their devotion, constant availability, and technical understanding were the best it could be.

Is there anything Hyperlink InfoSystem could have improved or done differently?

Hyperlink should be more realistic with their time estimates. The initial estimate was overly ambitious. In their eagerness to win the contract, they gave me a very aggressive timeline for when they promised to deliver the project. In the end, we didn't overshoot the timeline by a dramatic amount, but all the spare time I had built into the timeline was used up.

The project is still in progress, we’re going to launch the application in a couple months.

How did Hyperlink Infosystem perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was the easy part since I’m in India. The Hyperlink Infosystem team is very easy going. They’re very adjusting as well. You tell them something and they make it happen.

What distinguishes Hyperlink Infosystem from other providers?

Hyperlink Infosystem focuses on the long term, especially on relationship building. Those are two things that are very important. You can always go back to them for the next phase. I know now that I don’t have to think about finding another partner.

Is there anything Hyperlink Infosystem could have improved or done differently?

I don’t have any qualm with Hyperlink Infosystem, it is really only the Indian market as a whole. It’s very hard to find quality companies with a focus on integrity, so I believe they were a bit skeptical of me as a client also being located in India.

I really appreciated the work that Hyperlink Infosystem provided. They were very helpful, responsive, and very fast.

Before we launched the company, I wanted to add two or three features to the application. It was necessary for us to have those features included. I was able to pick up the phone and call them and explain the situation, they opened their office and called in their staff to meet the last minute requests. Hyperlink was able to give us what we wanted. I’ve never heard of any company that would open their office at such a late time to do work for their client. Hyperlink Infosystem was available for me 24/7.

We have a ticketing company very similar to TicketMaster in the States, the difference being that we operate in South America.

We have a platform that’s web based. I needed to have clients be able to book their tickets through a mobile application on both iOS and Android.

How did you come to work with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

I found Hyperlink InfoSystem online. I researched what they had previously done and they seemed to have a very good staff. We managed to get things going quickly even though we had a large difference in time zones. They quickly understood my concept.

This is an ongoing partnership and I still have a contract with them. I’d rather not share the financial aspect of the project.

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

Hyperlink InfoSystem is really knowledgeable. The only reason it took longer to complete the application is because I changed my requirements during the project. The process as a whole was actually really smooth. I’m really happy. Whenever I asked for something new, they would make sure to include my requirements. Hyperlink went above and beyond my expectations as far as providing functionality requirements to my app. 

What distinguishes Hyperlink InfoSystem from other providers?

Hyperlink InfoSystem made great suggestions for improvement. I could tell they really grasped the concept. Payment processing is very different in South America. The way we do payments is different than anywhere else in the world and they grasped that concept quickly. It was just a really good experience.

Is there anything Hyperlink InfoSystem could have improved or done differently?

I don’t think so. Whenever we were not moving as quickly as I would have liked, it was usually caused on my end. Hyperlink InfoSystem is really flexible. I can’t think of any way to make the partnership better.

I'm building a photo and video sharing app. This app will allow users to upload photos and videos and build their own profile. I've worked on the app for a while for people to connect socially. There's going to be new features in the app – stuff that we haven't seen in Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook.

I'm based in London development agencies here are very expensive. I went online. I was looking at outsourcing to the Philippines or Ukraine. Development in Eastern Europe still didn't fit my price range and I found Clutch, which popped up on a Google search. I went for it. I looked at a list of different companies. I found Hyperlink and went from there.

It was less than $10,000. It's a simple application. It's not that sophisticated.

What distinguishes Hyperlink InfoSystem from other providers?

I've never met a company like Hyperlink InfoSystem and the way they built with honesty and integrity. I think that makes them very different from other companies. When I spoke with the CEO [Harnil Oza], he assigned a senior project manager. I've never experienced a senior project manager like this in my life. The communication was absolutely fantastic. They gave me full insight into every aspect of the project. They provided R&D [research and development], which helped make decisions easier in terms of how I wanted the interface of the app to look. They did everything you could ask for. The project manager was the best line of communication they had and was great with English. That's one thing you don't find with many offshore project managers. Typically, project managers are not very technical, they just get the message and send it to the developers or coders. The Hyperlink InfoSystem project manager I had is very good and a strong communicator.

In my day job, I work for a large tech company in Seattle, but my work with Hyperlink was regarding an app I wanted to build that would essentially act as a bathroom locator in India.

What was your goal in working with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

My son and I had the idea for the app and, while I was capable of developing it on my own, I didn't want to take the time to write the code.

My son and I did a good bit of the design and wireframing. Hyperlink took care of the rest.

What was your process for selecting Hyperlink InfoSystem?

We looked around a couple websites and received a few quotes. We felt most comfortable with Hyperlink, and decided to go with them for the job.

Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?

It was around $4,000.

What was the timeline of the project?

We first started identifying firms back in April [2015], I believe the work itself started in June and they should be wrapping up in a few weeks here [August 2015].

Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?

As the project hasn't been completed, it's too early to speak about the results. However, we are very pleased with the way things have progressed and the parts of the product that I have seen up to this point seem to be of a high quality.

What distinguishes Hyperlink InfoSystem from other providers?

I would say that Hyperlink InfoSystem's project management abilities exceeded my expectations. The cost was obviously very competitive, but I wasn't expecting them to be as diligent as they ended up being with communication and project management.

In hindsight, are there areas in which they could improve, or things you might do differently?

Not at this time. As I said, they still haven't delivered the final product, so things could change. But, at this time, I am highly satisfied.

Visma is a big ERP [enterprise resource planning] solution provider company, similar to SAP [systems, applications & products in data processing], for Scandinavia and North Europe. I left Visma a couple of months ago, and I started a couple of new ventures, but I still use Hyperlink InfoSystem. We used Hyperlink InfoSystem at Visma to introduce outsourcing.

What is your position?

The relationship started when I was the CIO at Visma.

What business challenge were you trying to address with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

I don't have a lot of money to throw around and I can't really hire a lot of people, so outsourcing is really the only way I can build the solutions needed. Some of my apps I build myself. However, specifically for the mobile part, I do that through outsourcing.

We started out with a broader scope, but I limited it down to mobile development and that's what Hyperlink is doing for me now, mobile development for iOS and Android.

I found them online through one of the outsourcing web portals.

I've been working with Hyperlink InfoSystem for about 14 or 15 months now.

What distinguishes Hyperlink InfoSystem from other providers?

I stuck with Hyperlink InfoSystem after Visma for their knowledge and capabilities on the platforms I'm targeting. They have a good track record – that's why I selected them in the first place – and they haven't disappointed me so far. There are not bugs or anything like that on the solutions I have on mobile. There are the usual challenges that you experience when you are outsourcing, challenges related to culture and communication, but that's no different from any other company in the space.

Is there anything Hyperlink InfoSystem could have improved or done differently?

There are always small things, but one of the bigger challenges that comes up with outsourcing is about communication, predictability, and transparency. It's difficult to cross those hurdles with any company, so I don't think that's specific to Hyperlink InfoSystem.

I am one of the owners of a designated driver service. We drive people's cars with them in their own vehicle home. It's a mobile app available on iOS and Android.

What was your goal for working with Hyperlink InfoSystem?

Getting our ideas of how we wanted the app to perform was the big goal. We needed to go from the idea on paper to the app working in the practical world. 

SOLUTION

What was your process for selecting Hyperlink InfoSystem?

We had a previous development company that we were going to work with, but they had some technical issues and gaps in development capabilities to do what we wanted with the mobile app. We had a high recommendation from the owner of the company that was based in the U.S. that Hyperlink InfoSystem does a really nice job. So, we went with Hyperlink. The price point was very good compared to U.S. companies. We ended up moving our whole website and everything to Hyperlink since they did such a good job on the phone application.

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative?

Our app development with Hyperlink cost us $15,000 to $20,000.

When was the work completed?

The partnership started six or eight months ago [November 2014]. It's ongoing work.

Do you have any statistics or metrics on the project?

We haven't been in production that long. Beta testing has been successful. We don't have exact numbers, but everything seems to be running smoothly. I'll have more information as we grow.

What differentiates Hyperlink InfoSystem from other partners?

Hyperlink InfoSystem's ability to solve a problem is incredible. I would come to them with difficult things on what we wanted the app to do, and they did a really good job researching to see if it could be done. I would have to say on every issue that I brought to them they were able to resolve it. It was a combination of them doing a lot of research and figuring out solutions to the problems that made the app successful.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

I think Hyperlink InfoSystem does a great job. The only things to improve on are things that are out of their control. Being in different time zones is difficult. Sometimes, their dialect is difficult to understand, but that's what you're going to get with a company outside of the U.S. I wouldn't put any of that against them.
