I’m the founder and CEO of a second-hand car platform for booking and other automated processes.

What challenge were you trying to address with ITDelight?

We’d developed a web platform but weren’t able to insert a payment module. We needed a rare Swiss payment module that not all teams can handle.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped integrate the payment module into the website. We first sent them a document outlining what we needed and what we wanted changing. They always explained the differences and why they used certain technologies.

During the development, they found there were bugs and problems on the website, so we gave them the okay to make necessary changes. They also changed the online registrations and put in terms and conditions.

After that, they did the testing and implemented an automated mailing service behind the whole system. When a customer books, they get the receipt.

We were fascinated by their availability as they were super responsive. They had a lot of technical knowledge. Whatever we asked them to implement, they were able to do. I told them exactly how I wanted the payment module and they did it. We were happy with them.

We had a call with their project manager and the developers every 2–3 days. They always met deadlines and any delays were due to something on our side. The updated us every day or every few days using Skype and TeamViewer.

They’ve met our expectations on this project. Our customer is happy with the deliverables too, and he plans to continue working with us.

Internally, we’re using Slack, Jira, and GitLab, which were tools used by them that we’ve fully integrated into our team. There haven’t been any issues in terms of missing deadlines or unresponsiveness.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their developers deliver very good work. As we’re located in the same time zone, we don’t face any communication issues, as we have with previous vendors.

The initial contract negotiation was a little misleading, but in the end, we figured everything out and agreed on good terms.

They developed and deployed a Magento connector on a number of our clients’ sites. This involved parsing the JSON feed from the EPOS system into Magento and creating PHP scripts to check for sales and stock updates.

I was happy with the project, especially its stability. The app does exactly what it’s meant to, and I rarely have to check up on it.

We do not have a development team in-house, and we needed a module built for our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ITDelight built a module called View in Room for our website where users can visualize the prints on a wall inside the actual space. We made some comments regarding security protocols, ITDelight was very understanding, and they added the lines to the contract. They gave us an estimate of how much it would cost, and they did the project perfectly. Right now, we are working with ITDelight to solve a capability issue we have with Magento.

I was introduced to ITDelight through Nosto, a Magento partner agency. We met them at a conference, and when we were discussing adding the View in Room feature, Nosto recommended ITDelight because they fit our budget.

We began working with ITDelight in April 2016, and the work is ongoing.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We saw increased traffic, longer engagements, and more minutes per view by unique visitors after the module was installed. ITDelight also installed the Nostril extension in our Magento store. We still use that, and we saw a 20%–30% sales increase.

How did ITDelight perform from a project management standpoint?

The project management has been great. ITDelight did a professional job. The invoicing was clear, and the payment terms were clear. When an issue or question arose, their project manager reached out and communicated with us right away. ITDelight really got to know our developer here in the US. We communicated by email.

ITDelight is a small to medium sized team, so when their developer had a question, they were able to pull resources from their team to solve the issues.

The first thing the team did was evaluate the current architecture and structure of the website. They identified that the speed problems were caused by too many unoptimized images and content on the website.

The team suggested using a CDN service to take off the load of the main server. But they didn’t simply suggest it, but did market research and found the service that matched our needs in the best way. When it came to security, the team performed several critical steps.

Firstly, they updated the OS and checked the accessibility of our system. They also accessed the cybersecurity protocols of our provider to see how safe their data centers and cloud infrastructure are. They also discovered that our antivirus and antimalware software was not updated for quite a while; hence it could miss potential cyber-attacks. They updated it and trained our team on further maintenance of the software.

• As a result of the project, we got 50% of automation of all the manual processes and a 35% reduction in store management costs.
