Introduce your business and what you do there.

We purchase Apple products in any condition, broken or used, and we fix a lot of them. We then sell them restored or by parts through online sales. Basically, we bring damaged Apple products back to life.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Lasting Trend?

We had no people coming to our website because many similar websites had been around for many years. Before working with Lasting Trend, our site was probably in the 100th place of Google search results.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had a different company create a new, custom-made website from scratch for us, and Lasting Trend has been helping us with its management and digital marketing since. Although they didn’t develop the website, they’ve created and edited some pages within it as needed.

For digital marketing, Lasting Trend helps me define keywords, target our audience, and generate backlinks; that’s their primary scope. They also create a lot of content for our site using those keywords and targeting strategies. Additionally, we have Facebook and YouTube pages, and they’ve helped us with those as well.

In the beginning, Lasting Trend helped us with lead generation. Now, we’re close to starting using them for email marketing, but we need more time and clients for that because we’ve been online for less than a year.

What is the team composition?

I have 3–4 different members from Lasting Trend working on my website, of which Tim (Acting CEO) is my main point of contact. Additionally, one of their team members works in page development, so this person edits and creates new pages as needed, and another person is in charge of the backlinking.

How did you come to work with Lasting Trend?

Before working with Lasting Trend, I spent 4–5 months talking to Tim to decide. I explained my website to him, and we talked about how our engagement would work. After I decided to go with them, we started working together.

How much have you invested with them?

Lasting Trend’s monthly fee varies from month to month, depending on the services I need. Usually, I don’t pay less than $1,000 per month, and I’ve paid up to $2,000–$3,000 a few times. In total, I’ve spent around $10,000–$15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around April 2021, and I still work with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Lasting Trend has helped us a lot. We have people coming to our website, and we keep getting orders from them. I started seeing results within 6–7 months, and it gets better and better every day.

The most evident impact of our engagement is that I’ve seen our keywords grow. Initially, we had around 100 keywords, and only about 10% of those keywords ranked above the 100th place of Google search results. I saw the first result around the end of September 2021, when I noticed keywords growing their position to the 50th place. Then, I saw keywords ranking on the 40th, 30th, and 20th place — I was really impressed.

Now, we have keywords ranking us on the first or second page of Google search results, in places like the fifth or seventh result. These keywords are also relevant, with 2,000–3,000 people looking for them monthly. These results give me confidence that Lasting Trend is doing their job the right way.

How did Lasting Trend perform from a project management standpoint?

Lasting Trend is there for me 24/7. Whenever I have an idea, I call Tim directly, and he always listens to me and gives me time to explain. Then, he talks to his team and comes back with a response.

Initially, Tim introduced me to his team and explained the roles of each member so that I could communicate with them depending on my needs. However, I asked him if I could communicate with him directly, and he then could communicate with his team. For me, this arrangement is easier because I only have to explain myself to one person.

Lasting Trend also gave me access to the analytics accounts from their side to see my keywords and how they grow. Additionally, they provide me with the content to review; they never publish anything just because they like it, which is why I love working with them. Basically, I can control what they’re doing, but they’re always doing it the right way.

Once a month, I meet with Tim to share a coffee and work together, and if I need something from him quickly, I just call or text him. Additionally, he sends me emails with more detailed information about what they do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Since I’m not very familiar with digital marketing, it is very impressive that I can explain to Tim whatever is in my head, and he builds a step-by-step process to do it if possible. If what I want to do is not correct, he also explains how to do it correctly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Most of the time, I trust in what Lasting Trend is doing, which is why I keep working with them. There are always things that can be improved, and we do it constantly. If I notice something that needs a change, I just call Tim, and he changes it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Trusting the people you work with on these projects is the most important aspect of a successful engagement. You have to trust the people you give access to your site.
