I’m a principal at a start-up venture capital fund that sources and invests in start-ups in Silicon Valley.

What challenge were you trying to address with Millennial Web Development?

We decided to use a programmatic application in our investment strategy. We needed a third party to develop the tool.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team applied concepts our in-house creative director generated to the web design mock-up. They were responsive to feedback back and their modifications exceeded expectations. I’ve worked with other firms on proofs of concept, but Millennial’s services and price point differentiate them.

Next steps include developing the site on WordPress. Key functionalities will allow startups that are interested in our guidance curriculum to apply to our cohort. In addition, we have methods in our backend to rank and select those companies.

Our team is impressed by the site’s sharp and sleek look. The beautiful design fits with our corporate image and reflects their enthusiasm during development. They exceeded our expectations.

How did Millennial Web Development perform from a project management standpoint?

They were on top of it and responsive at an ideal level. The team kept moving forward even when we were tied up with other aspects of our business. They pushed us forward.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There needs to be a formal process in place to educate customers with lower tech literacy. In several instances, I felt I did not know enough to provide the detail they needed to succeed. We got there organically through several conversations, but a formal approach would have been better.

Millennial Web Development developed an e-commerce store so that our client could make gift cards available for purchase online. The project entailed extensive customization, as our client is an upscale spa and wanted specific functionality. The whole team did excellent work from start to finish.

Our goals were accomplished through Millennial Web Development’s expertise. The project was a success from the beginning to the launch.

Most importantly, our client is happy and able to sell gift cards online without any problems. Next, we will be expanding the shopping cart feature to include products with Millennial Web Development’s help.

We needed resources to rebuild our landing pages for our WordPress-based platform.

We wanted to replace our existing, non-CMS landing pages with a WordPress solution.

We found them online and vetted them from other similar companies. After interviewing them, we decided to go ahead with the project.

They built multiple WordPress pages, including a blog and knowledge center for both web and mobile displays. We provided the designs and technical specs while they executed the development.

By leading the project, Millennial Web Development allowed our in-house engineering team to concentrate on our base business. The new website is more flexible and easier to manage for our sales and marketing team.
