1. Product Requirement Document for the platform: After a very meticulous process of understanding our business requirements, Pavans Group delivered a very precise an efficient PRD. 

2. UX Wireframes: Pavans Group delivered all wireframes for the application that were later turned into high fidelity artworks for frontend development. 

3. Application Development: Ongoing process of coding a weekly ad builder platform based on an open-source and GraphQL based Rest API Laravel platform.

The requirement for the project was to create a hybrid mobile app that has the ability to schedule and conduct online consultations. The deliverables were:

• Registering a user and a consultant including location and time zones, and consultant profiles had to be sorted into different categories
• A calendar that could input availability from the consultant's side and then be visible as availability on the user's side
• Search and specific listing of consultants on the home page
• Audio/video call integration
• Payment gateway

• Admin panel to access/amend from the back-end

It has been a pleasure working with Pavan's Group. They are a professional and friendly team that goes above and beyond to meet your requirements. There are dedicated individuals for each area of development and the tasks are clearly outlined and adequately delegated.

There's full transparency on the project timeline and any delays are only due to them creating a better outcome as opposed to delivering an outcome that they do not 100% believe in. Any queries or changes were happily welcomed and they were very accommodating.

There are many app development teams out there, and whilst options are vast, it is always great to work with people that truly care about you and your project. I found Pavan's Group a very friendly and professional team to work with. They take your project as if it is their own and fully immerse their team into creating what you require and happily go above and beyond to provide.

They are innovative, always on hand to help, and display great teamwork. You know you are working with a great team when there's synchronicity and appreciation between team members and you're able to effectively communicate your needs and know they are going to be met.

I think they have a great system as is, I have personally not found any areas that could require improvement.

When I was launching the company, I needed to have an online presence that described what we did to our partners, other professionals, clients and prospects who want to look us out. It was important for the page to look simple to use, not have too many link pages, more like a business card, and look slick and rich in quality.

I also wanted a logo to really show how global we are and the out-of-the-world great service we give our clients. They also created all the pages for my other social media. Pavans Group helped me to achieve this. everyone who looks at the page always gives a great comment on how good it looks.

Dinesh in particular the engineer assigned to my case was ever so helpful and nothing was ever too much for him to do. Even to this day. I appreciate them. they did what they said they will do.

We have a page online and continue to recieve great feedback from everyone who visits

Communication was always through WhatsApp or email. It had to all be written down ( no calls) at first I did not settle with this but I then realised this had to happen to make sure my instructions are always clear and we are on the same page.

When I saw all I asked for in writing were been carried out as I needed and more I believed the style of communication is much clear so there is always a reference point.

Everything. especially being very open and approachable till this day.

We’re a small startup based on investors, so we've had to start small and grow slowly. We have a lot of core development work with our founders and partners, but we needed development around the UI/UX. We needed affordable developers, so we hired Pavans Group.

In the beginning, we worked together on branding, website design, and frontend development. We gave Pavans Group the description of our company, the logo, and the base branding, so they understood what we were looking for. We started with the design phase, focusing on graphic and website design, then moved into web development. Key technologies included CSS and JavaScript.

We started working together in April 2022, and the work is ongoing. We’ve finished the website design and development and plan to create an app with Pavans Group.

I teach website development to people and have a good understanding of high-quality work, and I’ve always been pleased with the code they produce. We’ve also been impressed with their branding. We plan on continuing the engagement.

They are extremely collaborative and flexible with their communication. For the most part, we communicate via phone calls and text messages.

The team is highly collaborative, and Pavans Group understands and listens to what we are communicating. As a result, they’re able to produce something that matches what we are looking for. The second thing we want to highlight is their ability to reflect the ideology and vision of our company within the branding.

Speak honestly about what you need and give a detailed description of your vision or what you want to achieve. Trust that they will interpret what you need because they communicate well and are very creative.

We have been working on a software solution for our company for many years. The challenge is finding the right person to understand our goals and have access to enough skill and expertise enabling growth of the solution over time.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through a referral network and after speaking to more than one provider we initiated a small project to confirm fit and our confidence to work on larger projects together.

I am not very skilled with the various names and types of technology used to integrate with our software and create new applications. We use our system to provide our teams with timely and up to date information on the progress of jobs as well as information about upcoming projects. This starts at first contact with clients and ends with the completion of the project and a review. The system is cloud based and includes emailing functionality and integrations with our everyday software.

I have 1 key contact for our project and Naresh then deploys the projects to the appropriate team member(s).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our outcomes are currently all customer service based. The current development is base on service to our staff and our clients, enabling them both to have ease of use, access to information and confidence.

We communicate primarily with Skype meetings and use Trello to manage tasks and timelines. The team at Pavans Group have been very responsive to timelines when the project requires it.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Flexibility. When there are challenges it is easy to see a project get derailed, and their ability to be flexible and make changes and adapt to both timelines and cost restraints makes a long term relationship possible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I do not think this comment is unique to Pavans Group. As a non "tech" person, it can be difficult to understand the complexity of the projects. I do wish there was a better way to overcome this , though unlikely without greater experience on my part. They have been very attentive to my questions and lack of complete understanding of what they do. This has lead to a very constructive working relationship.

I’m an executive at a technology company working in the logistics sector. Currently, we facilitate 60-minute delivery in two important regions of South Africa.

We needed help with web and mobile application development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pavans Group has helped us with our product development efforts. They work as part of our team and collaborate with us daily. We have an internal UI/UX design team that has provided them with designs to develop our product upon those. Moreover, our QA team has tested the product whenever Pavans Group has delivered features.

Typically, we provide Pavans Group with a defined scope, and they need to execute against that scope, ensuring that all of our requirements are implemented properly and in a scalable way. Whenever something doesn’t work as we want it, we work with them to resolve it until we’re satisfied before moving on to the next development module.

As for the deliverables, Pavans Group has helped us develop a native mobile app for iOS and Android, using various technologies such as React Native, JavaScript, Node.js, and Swift. They’ve also helped us develop our web-based product using JavaScript, PHP, Firebase, MySQL, AWS, and Amazon S3 for storage.

We’ve used a lot of other third-party technologies specific to our app, including Twilio for message sending, Google Maps, and other route-optimization technologies. Overall, Pavans Group has integrated any types of technologies required into our product.

How did you come to work with Pavans Group?

Before we started this company, we had already worked with Pavans Group on other web and mobile app development projects for other companies. When we started this company, it was natural for us to integrate them into our product development team.

What is the status of this engagement?

We originally started working together around September 2017 on other projects, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The features that Pavans Group has developed are working as intended. We’ve always ensured that they meet all of our objectives and implement every feature in the correct way, so we’re very happy with their work.

How did Pavans Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We have an hourly agreement with Pavans Group, so we only pay them for the time they spend working on a specific project. In the past, we tried working on a pay-per-feature basis, but it was too restrictive for us. Now that we pay them an hourly rate, we can move quickly and work on whatever we need to work on.

Still, Pavans Group is very upfront about how many hours they think certain features are going to take to be developed. Their estimations are not perfect; sometimes, they take less time, and other times they take more time than expected. However, their estimations are quite accurate, and they vary from 1–2 days.

We’ve developed a great working relationship with Pavans Group, and we’ve gained a good understanding of each other over the years. Their team is very responsive, and they address critical issues quickly. We can call them at any time, even in the middle of the night, to get problems solved.

Software development projects always face bugs, but Pavans Group has been very good at solving them too, and they’ve always been there for us to do so. We have certain methodologies in place for addressing these bugs. Firstly, we load them into our bug-tracking system and prioritize them. Then, we get them patched by their priority order, deploy the changes, and test the product again.

As for communication, we mainly use Skype. We use Skype’s direct messaging and have different chat groups depending on the products being worked on. For example, we have separate chat groups for the web development team, the project managers, and the mobile app development team. This way, we can manage our different groups and projects more easily.

We also use Google Meet or Zoom whenever we need to jump on a call. These virtual meetings allow us to connect, solve questions, and work through queries more efficiently.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pavans Group is very committed to developing a good product, so they never try to build the cheapest or the quickest solution. They’re also very invested in our company, and they value our relationship and partnership quite highly. Their approach and our long-standing relationship make them feel like a part of our team.

In addition to that, Pavans Group has a lot of capabilities to achieve all of our requirements. For example, one of our bigger requirements was having fast loading times, so they used Node.js to meet that requirement.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing Pavans Group could improve on. Although no one is perfect and software development doesn’t always go according to plan, Pavans Group has the right attitude and does their best to put the project first. We’re very happy with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be accurate about what you want and be as involved in the development process as you can be. If you’re not involved in the project, things might get lost in communication, and they may end up developing something you don’t want.

Pavans Group designed and developed my cross-platform mobile application and website. They built both from scratch, although I’m not sure what technologies they used. The website was hosted on AWS. 

After users log into the website using their social media accounts, they can upload photos, videos, or MP3 files. The mobile app mirrors the website, providing the same services to users.

My main point of contact has been Shailesh (CTO & CFO), although I’m not sure how many teammates have been working on my projects.

I found them online.

We invested around $10,000.

This project was from February–June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’ve had to resolve some initial issues, so I’m not particularly focused on any metrics around the app. However, once I get those issues fixed, I’ll determine success through the number of app downloads. 

I’m also trying to find some investment partners, so promoting the app isn’t my primary goal. However, Pavans Group’s quality of work was pretty good. I didn’t have any problems with Pavans Group during our partnership. If they ran into any development issues, their team worked until they were resolved.

Pavans Group responded quickly to my messages through Upwork or Skype. We didn’t use any specific project management tools. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength was their coding ability.
