When we were incorporating our start-up we hired Red Honey to design our website, logo and create basic social media presence.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked through our personal networks, references, Upwork scouting etc. We got introduced to Madhur, Rohit & team through references. We got talking and really vibed on the overall tone, branding and content that we wanted to put in place. The Red Honey team was knowledgeable & honest. We did a lot of brainstorming and created a content/web plan.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

• Logo - we went through 4-5 iterations of the logo, did secondary research, focus groups on various iterations and finally came up with the logo and vector for our brand, which we are still using even after 3 years.
• Website - similar process; I submitted a dump of all media and content I wanted on our web page. The Red Honey team stepped in as a Devil's advocate and helped put method to madness. We designed the website working backwards from the users and ensuring a seamless experience. The team was diligent with their feedback, timelines were adhered to and met with. The back and forth was seamless.

4 people worked with us - web designer, UI/UX developer, graphic designer, social media manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website was fast, responsive and experienced zero downtime over the years. The team was quick to publish website updates as and when needed and always open to feedback. Site health improved by over 50%. SEO ranking also improved.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very smooth, no glitches or delays. Madhur was my point of contact and he was always available and eager to help out. We did a lot of email exchanges, the team barely missed a deadline that they'd promised.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Red honey demonstrated a keen intelligence on web design, content creation, storyboarding and seemed to have the pulse of the users. Their insights were critical in developing a winning web page.

They could add more service offers, expand the team and get into branding a bit more.

The Red Honey Group did a good job revamping our website, so much so that we expanded their responsibilities. The PPC portion of the project garnered slower responses than anticipated.

The Red Honey Group accomplished everything we asked for. The team communicated effectively; they answered calls and returned emails promptly. Once they completed the website, we met virtually, and they shared their screen to show us what they’d done.

I was most impressed by their ability to find solutions to our problems. They were upfront when they faced obstacles outside their expertise, and with additional time, they identified viable fixes. They also followed up with us and continued to support us post-delivery.

Sometimes, they took longer than expected to execute tasks.

Let them know exactly what you want. They’ll take some time to execute the requirements, but they’ll do a thorough job and provide perfect solutions.

The Red Honey Group has redesigned our website and helped us expand our online B2C presence. First, they presented us with 3–4 design options for the new site. After sharing our suggestions, we selected the final website design, which they created. The team also provided us with new content for the website. They continue to maintain the site. 

We’re pleased with how they’ve handled the website redesign project, so now they’re helping us with e-commerce sales for Amazon, Flipkart, and other B2C platforms. The team also handles our Facebook, Instagram, and Google accounts; they create content and manage our advertising initiatives. Additionally, we’ve engaged them for other ad-hoc projects for our clients or personal endeavors.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I’m really happy with the design and content that The Red Honey Group has created for the new site. Their work is commendable, and my colleagues agree. We were so pleased with how they redesigned our website that we expanded their responsibilities to help us with e-commerce and advertising projects. 

Since we distribute hand sanitizer, our website traffic has significantly increased since the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I can’t say whether their efforts contributed to those numbers. Whenever we run a campaign for Facebook, Instagram, or Google Ads, our sales increase, and when we halt the campaign, they decrease. Overall, the market isn’t great, but the team’s advertising efforts have positively impacted our business.

The Red Honey Group has worked within our budget and remained patient throughout each design iteration. The initial design process felt slow, but we were very particular and rejected a few options before honing in on the final design, so it’s not their fault.
