Our site https://key-s.pp.ua had a rather low Google search for our keywords. Rotgar SEO has been tasked with raising our search rankings.

On your very famous site clutch.co has been sorted by several values ​​of the companies providing similar services. Geolocation and, of course, telephone communication with Rotgar SEO managers became key. They, unlike other applicants, immediately grasped the goal of the task and convinced us of cooperation.

Initially, Rotgar SEO was given key queries that we would like to promote. After an audit of our site, indirect changes in the structure itself were proposed. Analysis from Rotgar SEO has shown that not all of our queries are appropriate to use. The semantic core has been almost completely redesigned. And then they modernized our site to speed up page loading. Then they squeezed all the photos and changed them into a different format. And later we registered the necessary meta tags.

Evgeny Yudin worked closely with us - excellent customer service. We also often talked with Natalya Labutina, who is an unrivaled SEO specialist in website promotion.

After all the manipulations on the part of Rotgar SEO, our site moved to a leading position in terms of key values. For example, according to some requests, it is now in the TOP-3.

Everything is very clear. Honed questions and specific solutions. The terms exceeded our expectations - literally in 4-5 weeks the first results appeared. And then - more.

Unique - the company's approach to customer issues and non-trivial solutions. Their experience is also not in the last place. They have a unique vision of seemingly unsolvable and complex tasks. For the implementation of which it was necessary to look from the other side.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It seems to me that if Rotgar SEO had more employees, they could be more flexible and rational in approaching the tasks. Although it should be said that they work perfectly in this composition!

I’m the commercial director of a construction tool company. We sell grinding machines, concrete mixers, drills, perforating machines, and everything else needed to build or renovate a house or apartment. We also sell paints and consumables for the machinery.

We sell our products in Ukraine, Russia, and Byelorussia, and we have contracts with manufacturers in China, Malaysia, and Vietnam. We have two offline shops in Vinnitsa, Ukraine, and three others in Poltava, Yuzhne, and Rivne, respectively.

What challenge were you trying to address with Rotgar SEO?

We saw a rapid decrease in store visitors in 2020, after the COVID-19 pandemic struck since people were afraid to go out. We started our operations in 2010, and we hadn’t felt an urgent necessity to go online until last year. After COVID-19, we saw the need to become digitally available, but we’re not a big company and didn’t have our own IT department.

We’d run some TV and radio advertisements, but that wasn’t very beneficial. Information is sourced through the internet now, and it was recommended to us to run SEO efforts through a specialized company for this.

We outsourced the development of our online shop to Rotgar. We went to them to promote the website, make it recognizable, and use it to attract more buyers. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Rotgar first conducted a website audit, aimed at finding any pain points or bottlenecks. They found that the main problems were keyword content, the length of our product descriptions, and category names.

They used this research to develop a semantic core document, namely an index of all semantics to be used on the online shop, to make it attractive for visitors. The document had recommendations for category names, using not just “grinders” or “concrete mixers”, but terms like “high-duty concrete mixers”.

They integrated all their findings and corrections into our online shop, and ran a campaign to promote portal recognition and rankings on Google and other search engines.

What is the team composition?

Evgeny (Founder & SEO Expert) was the team lead and served as our account manager. He was our main contact, and he communicated our requirements to the other two people involved.

How did you come to work with Rotgar SEO?

They were recommended to us by the agency that built our online shop and our developer, and choosing Rotgar proved to be a good decision. We’d thought about hiring an SEO agency before hearing about Rotgar, but we never came close to making the final step.

How much have you invested with them?

The first and second months were the most expensive, because of the audit and research. We paid $6,000 per month for the two months, and $4,500–$5,000 per month after that. The overall cost was around $30,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Rotgar between March–October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before Rotgar, our website was getting 900–1,000 visitors per month, and we were seeing 3–5 buyers from those. Our conversion rate was less than 0.1%.

After the second month of our collaboration, we were seeing 10–15 buyers out of the same number of monthly visitors, and our total transactions increased by more than 300%. We were getting 70 transactions per month from organic visitors. At the end of September 2020, we were getting 150 buyers coming from Google searches.

How did Rotgar SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

We had open communication between our companies. We used email for official correspondence, mainly because it’s accepted by courts. We had daily phone calls, and we used Skype or Microsoft Teams if we needed to share screenshots or do something similar.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We didn’t do research on other providers, but we asked other companies about Rotgar, and we heard some good feedback. They had just one review on Clutch, which is quite strange because they deliver very good results — perhaps their clients just didn’t want to give feedback, but this is why we decided to leave this review.  We were very happy with the results and with Rotgar’s communication, in general — we wanted to help them promote themselves.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There could have been more detailed monthly reports from them. They provided us monthly reports on the operations and the results, but without detailed descriptions of the actions. I’d rate them 4.5 of our 5 for this part of the collaboration. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

The client should find out what they need and how fast they need it, and they should be able to convey that to Rotgar. If we didn’t tell them what we needed, we wouldn’t get it. Rotgar is very good at what they do, but they need precise requirements from the customer.

Now we have 3-5 leads per months. It requires a lot of trust to get someone to hand their IT department over, so it’s a long buy-in process.

We got a lead from SEO activities 4 months after Rotgar came on and closed it to the tune of $10,000 a month in recurring revenue for a three-month contract. We’ve already seen measurable results in terms of dollars.

Rotgar team successfully boosted our rankings on Google; the average search result across our tracked keywords right now is on the first page, whereas they were on the 40+ page before they came on.

They’ve done well with project management. Working with Rotgar is a very transparent job. Transparency is something we look for with a lot of our vendors. They haven’t missed any deadlines, unless it was my team’s fault.

We’ve worked with different marketing companies. The problems why we stopped with them were:

1. missing deadlines
2. don’t follow the promised KPIs During these 7-months cooperation there were 0 such points to discuss.

Everything is done in time and accurate to KPI. This’s amazing!
